Angie: Glad you had so much fun at the reunion despite the bad attire advice you got. I have never played real golf in my life! I can barely play mini-golf. :p

Hi Ladies,

Just a quick check in-for some motivation. I didn't make it to the gym yesterday so I'm doing an A-Jock mish mosh that has plenty of squats and lunges. I'll bbl for personals.

Morning ladies!

the circuit class last night was awesome .. my legs and rear end were trembling when I left - I really thought I would have major DOMS today .. but so far so good!!

Angie .. yeah the knee is better .. I tore the quad tendon where it attatches to the leg bone under the knee about 2 years ago .. long story short .. I have major scar tissue in there . . and my sport doc did NOT reccommend surgery ... he said it was a repetitive injury due to YEARS of teaching step. Well .. impact moves do not bother it ... lunges and squats do not bother it .. but simple stepping bothers it .. strange I know .. it is just b/c of the scar tissue and floating debris and YEARS of teaching step ... so now I limit my "step" classes to once a week .. which has forced me to become VERY creative in my classes .. always working on new torture ideas!!

And the reunion .. glad it went well .. and I HATE when I get bad info .. yeah I would have been ticked too .. but I am sure after a few CABS .. you didn't mind so much!! LOL ... kudos on the compliments!!

Wendy .. kudos to you too .. DH comment is WONDERFUL! and the friends .. WOW you are a BORN motivator!! That is great .. I know you are so happy with them!!:D .. and thanks .. now I am going to HAVE to get a steam mop .. LOL!!

Cathy - hope you are feeling better today .. I hate feeling bad!!

Hello Ladies.

My work out is done. I decided to add in some back work (DH's comment spurred me on!LOL) so here's what I did:

B&G:
Warm-up
walking lunges
*reverse grip chin ups
barbell squats
*wide front pull ups
lunge squat combo
*close grip overhand pull ups
firewalkers
*switch grip pull ups
inner thigh lifts
repeated all leg work only one more time through
*PLUS*
BBC Butt and Legs:
cardio portion only

Hurts so good! I wonder if I will have DOMS tomorrow?? }(

Diana: So what did your mish-mosh entail today?

Laura :: For the Lucky jeans, you could try Marshall’s, T.J. Maxx, or Burlington Coat Factory if you have any of those near you. Or maybe consider ordering from the website. IMO, these are the greatest jeans EVER! My biggest problem was always getting jeans to fit in the hip/thigh area without gapping at the waist…*lol* about your lipo comment (taking a stab) and about shifting the pooch fat upstairs a little…

Besides, you’d a looked GREAT no matter what you were wearin’! …*lol* about the sports bra. Honestly, sometimes it is a struggle for me to get out of it…*lol* about the owl smiley…You won’t believe this – this is so strange – but last night, I dreamt that I was searching for smileys (this is how you KNOW I have a problem) and I came across an owl smiley I thought was cute. I swear it…I’m glad MIL is doing a little better and seems to have benefited from the hospital stay.

I wasn't sure if I'd be feeling up for today's scheduled run (thought I might go for something lighter like Basic Step instead) but other than a sore throat/earache, I'm feelin' good. Yay!! I would've liked to get out there, but it looks like it's going to downpour any second and the weather forecaster is talking about lightning strikes, so uh, ixnay on that idea. But it's all good b/c my schedule this week requires I make a few adjustments to the rotation, anyway. As it is, I'll be doing Body Fusion tonight.

did not make it to the gym at lunch .. WORK ...x( x( x( x( GEEZE is it another full moon or WHAT????

I have a splitting head ache .. and the more I work the more I have to do .. so going to leave the stack of paperwork and the CUSSINGS I have taken today behind me when the 5:00 bell rings ..

.. decided to ax core torture ... and throw SIX STEP heavy weight torture on them!!}( }( }( they will pay for my not getting my heavy weight workout!!!

anyway .. maybe the head will stop pounding soon!!
 
Hey Girls,

I can't remember the name of the mish mosh but I was only able to w/o for 40 mins. I spent too much time visiting with DH before he left for his Dentist appt. It was the warmup from Imax 3, then 6 blasts only and between each blast there were squats, lunges & plie squats. It also called for bootcamp (which I lent to a friend and Kickmax but I didn't have time for all that anyway.

I just got back from running almost 6 miles at lunch. I truly am a fair weather runner and it was beautiful outside, temps in the 70's.

Wendy-It sure was motivating to hear DH's comments about how buff you are!! Your own workout looked like a goodie today too. Thanks for the info on the steam mop, see what you've started. I bet Angie wants one too if she doesn't already have one!

Angie-Glad to hear MIl is doing better. I'm sorry you weren't given the proper attire information. Who cares anyway, you look great no matter what and it sounds like you had a wonderful time.

Laura-I wasn't aware you had knee problems or that it was slowing you down in any way. I need the heavy weight torture class tonight too.

Cathy-glad you are feeling better. Only you would be able to fine moping smilies and the high fives-I love reading your posts because you are so creative! Where do you find all the smilies?

Laura :: hope your head feels better...I was wondering if today was a full moon, too. My kids were rammy. But they had a 3-day weekend...*lol* about your make-em-suffer-with-you approach.

Are you and Wendy competing for the craziest hardcore workout of the day?? :) Great job!!...Glad you enjoyed some gorgeous running weather...I am a smiley ADDICT. I just finished BF. Added an extra riser and heavier weights. A good, solid sweat and no-brainer choreo. Just what I needed!

I should've used my HRM but forgot. How many calories do you think I burned (approx.) with Body Fusion? It was a 50 minute workout. I had two risers on the step, so I felt like I was workin' fairly hard throughout.

Good evening girls

You'd never know I was home all day today. I was doing some major cleanmax and was too busy to get on the computer. Mom came over and we got the basement and garage done. The basement is where we host the party so I'm pretty happy to have it ready to go. After cleanmax I did IMAX2....oh, how I love that workout! I dunno if it's the music on that one or what, but it seems like I always go all out on it.:)

Wendy - You are definitely a B&G girl aren't you? I would think that you'd feel that w/o tomorrow.....I know I would.x(
Comments from DH are always the best aren't they. Don't get me wrong....it's great to hear comments from anyone, but for some reason it's really nice to hear them from someone who sees you everyday. Good for you on the definition!

Diana - Am I imagining this or are you sounding more peppy? Is work going better?
A 6 mile run? Good for you! I don't think my bum heel would be able to handle that. Great fall weather is a great motivator in getting out there.
Nope, no mop for me.....most of my house is carpeted. The kitchen, entryway, and bathroom are the only rooms not fully carpeted, so I usually don't mop much. Since the areas are fairly small, it's just easier to get down on the floor and scrub. :7

Laura - Your classes DO sound creative for sure. It's great that you don't have much trouble with your knee, especially since you do workout so hard. I know how much you are annoyed with your body not letting you do what you want to do. Glad that TB finally let you go! *lol*
Yup, after a few CABs at the reunion, the jeans weren't much of an issue. Our class just isn't a flashy kind of class.....growing up we preferred quantity over quality on the beer.....really not a whole lot has changed there I noticed. The place we went to charged $3 a beer. Not that I cared too awfully much, but it just didn't make any sense to me. We generally meet up somewhere, bring a cooler, and party til the cows come home. I know that sounds a bit redneck....but like I said it was a farm town.....kinda like the footloose movie. I was really happy to hear that nobody has died in our class which is pretty amazing. We only had a class of about 54, but still, that it pretty good.

Cathy - OMG...I almost feel off the couch when I saw your mop smilie. *LOL* about your dream.....it's time for a smilie shrink!:eek:
So glad your illness was short lived. Maybe an ear infection? Whatever it was hopefully it will quit buggin you.
It's great that you were still able to workout. (tries to think of a cool smilie to insert)
Hmmmmm....it really depends upon your numbers that you insert into your HRM on how many cals you would burn. What do you normally burn on an hour step routine? Maybe go a little less than that?
