Cabs and Abs:: Sad news::Friday

Hi Girls.

I got word that my BF's mom passed away yesterday evening. I don't know if I had mentioned to you all what's been going on with that poor woman but in short, she finally lost a 10+ year long battle with cancer yesterday. She had just been diagnosed as terminal anyway and had no quality of life. She was in really bad shape the past several weeks. She needed to pass as sad as it is.

Today's work out is a longish TM run after work. I will bring clothes to shower up there so that depending on how long the run is, I can go straight to school to pick up DS if needed.

Well, that's all for now. I'll be back this afternoon!

Friday .. Morning Ladies

Wendy ... {{{{{{ HUGS }}}}}} .. so sorry! Gosh the bad news has really been hitting our little group here lately!! I had peeked in on the Cheetah forum they day you went to see BF and the situation sounded grim then. although it is so sad ... it is really harder to see someone you love go down hill .. and suffer .. and linger on in a way they really would prefer not to .. so although sad .. there is a flip side of relief for the family and the deceased. No more suffering .. no more pain .. I am sure she is in a much better place than any of us really can comprehend!! {{{{ hugs }}} to you though .... will be thinking about you!!

OH and Wendy .. you and Cathy .. watch out for Hannah ... she is to make landfall in NC .. then skirt the coast line on the water .. and then make landfall again in NY .. the news was saying even though she will be a tropical storm .. she is gonna dump a LOT of water .. and NY is AT sea level and they are worried about major flooding ... SO BE CAREFULL!!!!

We are watching IKE .. he looks menacing!! I have a friend in West Palm Beach .. and she is really scare .. He is to hit the Bahamas as a CAT 4 .. the Bahamas and smaller island sure have taken a beating .. and IKE looks like the worst!! after the Bahamas he is to hit lower FL ... then CROSS into the Gulf .. where he will build even stronger .. so all of us are really watching him!! Be safe everyone!!

Di .. was thinking of you yesterday .. I hope maybe you can find time to yourself to wind down and relax .. and I hope the MIL behaved herself ..

Ang .. hope you have no bumps and bruises from your gracefull water slipping event!! Hope the remnants of Gustav have left you .. and you can get a good camping trip in!! Odd that me, you and Wendy have all had the affects of hurricanes and tropical storms w/in the last month and this month!!!

I changed up class last night .. OMG . . I combined Plyo work - pushup torture - lower body heavy shaping - core work all together and ended w/a nice yoga cool down! YOWZA .. I had to pop the ibuprofen today .. the shoulders are screaming at me .. not to mention the DOMing in the buttocks and hammys!! YIKES

What's up for the weekend girlies?? Our trip to Biloxi is still on .. my BF couple are fighting so I doubt they are going (they fight all the time over nothing) .. BUT my VBF and her DH are going .. and SIL for the first time is going .. and 2 other couples are going .. PLUS my LA buddies may meet us there .. .. we are gonna have a BLAST!!!! WOO HOO ... OH .. BTW .. my LA buds they are all fine .. and their houses and businesses are A-OK!! Thank GOD!!!

Hey Ladies.

Yikes, DS was NOT a happy camper when I went to drop him off at school this morning. It broke my heart to leave him but I knew it was best. When I went back the teacher said he was fine within 5-10 minutes but he peed his pants from getting so upset so they had to change him. LOL Poor little guy. He's asleep on the couch right now. He must be exhausted! They don't give him nearly the nap time he gets at home.

So I ran 5.18 miles with my buddy Grace after work today. We did fast flats, hills and sprints together. We did it all! It was a great work out and tmrw is a rest day. Well, so far anyway...with the storm coming I am going to be inside all day so if I get antsy I may do SOMETHING but we'll see.

Tomorrow night is the first of 3 visitations for BF's mom. I'll be going to that unless the storm is REALLY bad. DH is not a chicken so if he says I shouldn't go then I will KNOW it's bad. I am thinking it won't be THAT bad though...I hope not anyway.

Better go do something constructive now...I've been putzing around for over an hour now!
