Good Morning Cabbers.

I'm up early in anticipation of my race. I got up just after 6am. I hope the weather is pleasant this morning as I'd like to try and make this another fast one!}(

I was supposed to go see SATC with the girls tonight but apparently, unbeknownst to me, that part of the plan got the kibosh. That's the part of the plan I was looking forward to the most too. ACK!x( Oh well...I suppose I will get to see the movie EVENTUALLY!:p

Not much else going on in my neck o' the woods right now. I'm just enjoying my quiet time with my coffee cup. :9

Will pop back in later. :)

Good Morning Ladies,

I never made it back to the forums yesterday afternoon. I enjoyed 4DS B&B yesterday. Even KB was tough even though it was only 30 mins. I usually double up the 4DS cardio's to make them 60 mins.

DH had a friend come over last night and he didn't leave until 3:30am. I went to bed about 11 but couldn't sleep very well until DH came to bed around 3:45. I'm a bit tired for my 6 mile run this morning. It is supposed to be in the 90's so I need to get my butt out of here soon. It's already 7:30.

Jerod has baseball pictures today so I've got his uniform in the wash and want to get it in the dryer before I start my run. He had a great game last night with several really good catches at first and at third.

Wendy-Good luck at your race today. Sorry about missing SATC. I want to see that too. I'm still reading NROL and should probably take measurements etc today. I don't want to skip ahead but I want to see the workouts.

Laura-Hope things go well with DH today. Sounds like you had a fun ladies night out!! Thanks for the info on the training. Even the instructors/trainers at my rec ctr all have other jobs on top of teaching/training. Well maybe real estate and teaching/training will be in my future. Have fun w/coach Sean

Cathy-how many miles are you running this weekend? I've decided to keep a training journal for the marathon. How many miles, how I felt, weather issues etc. Are you keeping a journal. I'm not sure if I'll ever do another one so I want to track my training.

Angie-hey there miss-what are you up to today.

Time to put that uniform in the dryer and head out.

Hope everyone is having a beautiful Saturday.:)
Yesterday was a busy day. I had to go to work and finish up what I couldn't get done when Cam was helping me.:7 I got home and did Muscle Max - ugh! OMG that hurt! I always think a long stint of the X will make me a wonder woman but Cathe always brings on the sweat and pain and brings me back to earth.:7 Then we took my parents out to fish dinner and we played cards late into the night.
Today I have an open house to go to later. Other than that, not much planned. I need to tackle some more laundry but hopefully that won't take all day.

Wendy - Best of luck on that run today girl!! I hope the weather holds out for you. If it does, I have no doubt you will be back here posting another PB!
My mom took my grandmother to see SATC. Gma is 90 years old. I guess she enjoyed it. I haven't seen it, but I'm not much of a movie goer and I never watched it on HBO b/c we don't get HBO.:(

Diana - DH's B-day dinner sounded yummy.:9 Did you ever figure out your TV dilemma?
So glad you found a great suit. I HATE swimsuit shopping! You're making me want to go to Kohls.....haven't been there in quite a while.
Let us know what you decided on the PT. I think it would be really healthy for you to have a job (even a part time one) that you really enjoy doing. Who knows what it could lead to? Maybe it will point you into a different direction that opens more doors than you anticipated. I say go for it!!!
Hope you had fun with the 4DS yesterday. Hmmmmmm.....I might just have to drag that one out today. Then Monday it's back to Tony for 2 weeks to finish up the X rotation! I can't wait!!!
ETA: We were posting at the same time. Hope you get that run in this morning. I think a journal sounds like a great idea! Good luck to Jarod on the game today. Maybe you want to come over and work this laundry machine too???? It was worth a shot right?

Cathy - It was sooooo good to hear from you. I miss you.:( :( I gotta say, it's just not the same here without you.;-)

Laura - My fingers are crossed for you and DH that this weekend smooths some things over for you both. DH has been working 3 weeks straight without a day off??? Sheesh! I would be grumpy too. I'm glad I don't have his job.
Did you get blasted in the OF? I haven't been there much, usually only on the weekends. I only peruse the OF when I have lots of spare time and I haven't had a whole lot of it lately. I don't post much there either. I usually only choose "safe" subjects to post on. Not always, but usually it's just not worth the effort to try and explain a post after someone else thinks they have it all figured out, if ya know what I mean. It's just too easy to misconstrue words, which I think is why there's so much miscommunication on the boards. I'm sure I have made comments that don't come across the right way in words but if they were said would come across much differently. Which thread was it?

I'll be back to see who's popped in and what they are up to. I hope all my fellow Cabbers are having a wonderful day!! :)

Hola~

I know I have been scarce around these parts lately. Thanks for your kind words, Angie. As mentioned, things were rather hectic at the end of the school year, and since I'd noticed there wasn't much activity here lately, I didn't try to extend myself with posting.

Wendy ~ hope you had a fun 5K. Sorry the movie tonight's a bust. I haven't seen it yet, either.

Di ~ Yes, I am keeping a journal. I feel the same; in fact, I'm pretty certain this will be my only marathon. I am due for 11-12 tomorrow morning. Hope it wasn't too hot out there for you.

Ange ~ getting a kick out of your 90-year-old GM seeing SATC. I have only viewed limited threads on the O/D lately, so if there was something controversial, I missed it. Sounds like a fun night with your parents. Love your little coffee guy.

Yesterday was the first day of vacation for me, and I am already feeling refreshed. Both days I've enjoyed lazy mornings. Life is good. Though it was a good school year overall, I have to say in all candor, that between professional & personal demands lately, I've been feeling kinda tired, like I have little tolerance for others' needs and antics at the moment. I'm tired of giving to some who only take. I'm tired of listening to some who only know how to talk, esp. those who seem to find one endless gripe after another. It's an energy drain, and I'm preferring silence right now. It's a beautiful thing. :7 Ahhhh!

Later will be a KB workout (I'm pausing with TT) followed by more glorious soccer in the European Championship tourney. I'm lovin' it!

"Do you want to feel my spatula?" Run, Fat Boy, Run

Hi ladies,

I'm back from my run. It's seemed to go on forever and it was only 6 miles. I think the heat and lack of sleep had something to do with it. It took 1:03 to finish which is fine by me. I don't usually care how long it takes. I know I'm slow and that's fine with me. I do like get 6 miles in under an hour. 3 minutes over is no biggie.

Forgot to mention that Cody & Amanda have been house sitting at SIL's this past week. It's been so nice and quiet but they will be coming home today. I miss my baby girlies!

Angie-sounds like you had a great day yesterday. How nice of Mom to take Grandma to the movies!! My washing machine works double duty for this family. We hope to resolve the TV dilemma this weekend. Right now the new TV is on the floor in front of the old TV.

Cathy-Glad you popped in. There is so much negativity going on my department and it is really wearing on me. I'm not normally such a pessimist. Jerod has a journal left over from school so I need to start my journal. Week 1 training is complete.

Wendy-How was the race? I hope it was fun whether you PR'd or not.

Laura-hope you are having a great weekend.

Off to take Jerod for his baseball pictures.

Diana

Yeah!! She's back! http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Leisures_and_Sports/dancing-107.gif ;-) Ummmm, can ya tell I missed ya?? *lol*

I'm so glad things are starting to feel relaxing for you. Ah yes, summer's here.
You're running 11-12 miles tomorrow??? Holy smokes! http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Respect/bowing-036.gif I hope you get comfortable weather to torture yourself in.:p
YOU are the queen of the smilies. Isn't it amazing how a little o' smilie can crack the corners of your mouth up?
I sure hope you get some solitude over the weekend and find your energy. It would be pretty easy to see how you could get burned out. I'm sure the end of the school year is bitter sweet for you, especially since you LOVE your job so much. But, I'll bet you have all kinds of plans to keep you busy over the summer too??
Have fun with the KB workout today. I'm in the process of trying to figure out what I'm gonna do next too. Hopefully we'll get STS soon and that will take care of that quandry for me.:) Didn't you pre-order STS too?? I've forgotten what you decided on that.
So are you happy with your marathon training? Are you where you wanted to be at this point? Do you have a running partner for the summer or do you prefer to run alone? Either way, hoping you have sexy garbage men on your path.:7
Angie is to Nascar as Cathy is to Fussball. *lol* I do understand the love of a sport. Kick back and enjoy your soccer today!! Are they in the playoffs or something? How long will that last?

OK - I'm dragging my feet here. I've taken Cam to his buddies' B-day party and I still haven't done anything except feed my pie hole. Yup, doritoes, bean soup and string cheese......um hum...power foods! :p Gotta go find a workout and get to it! Later will be an open house with lots more "power foods" and CABs. We even have a DD planned for us tonight. I hope the weather holds up though, it's supposed to rain but so far it's been beautiful.

Go Wendy GO!!!!

BBL http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Others/hello-011.gif

ETA: Hey Di - your post snuck past me. IA it doesn't matter how fast you go. Good for you for getting it out of the way. Glad you got some quiet time even if it was only short lived.
Have a fun afternoon.

Just reporting back to say I did the original Cathe "bootcamp" and am a bit embarrassed to say I stopped 2 short of doing all the mountain climbers.x( I have definitely lost some cardio endurance with the X. At least I know what I need to work on when I'm done with this rotation.

Off to go to an open house....I'm really HUNGRY now. *lol* Oh, this does not look like it's going to be pretty with the eats tonight. The burgers are to die for!! I can't wait to dig in to one. I know....shame on me!

Have a wonderful Saturday night babes.;-)

Di ~ I am never concerned with time, either--just gettin' 'er done :)...That's exactly why I want my space from it. Hang around it too long, it rubs off!

Angie ~ I have to cut myself off here with the CABs because I'll need an early start tomorrow. Dang running gettin' in the way of my CABs. :7 *lol* This is the European Championship...quarterfinals stage...it'll wrap up by the end of the month. Great match between Russia and the Netherlands today (Russia won 3-1 in OT)...Yes, this is my NASCAR. I become a raving, screaming maniac. :7...I did pre-order STS. I was movin' along there with TT and enjoying it, but suddenly, I'm not feelin' it. I like the style of the workouts but don't feel like repeating the same two weight w/outs for 4 weeks. I need more variety, and unfortunately, you have to be a paying member to download more workouts. Not writing it off altogether, but at the moment, I'm not in the mood for it. Just feel like poppin' in a DVD and going with it...I'm OK with the marathon training...being sick put me off the long run by one week, but that's not a big deal because Galloway's plan went up to 22-23 miles in the end stages, and I didn't want to do that, anyway. My overall weekly mileage has been a little lower than planned, but I'm OK with that, too. It's been such a busy school year that it just is what it is. It's nice to have more time to focus on fitness and training this summer...Sounds like a fun, let-loose night for you & DH. Enjoy!!!
