Mornin’, girls! :)

Did not work out last night after all. Took a late afternoon nap and woke up with the return of the intense back pain. Boo! I was hurting this morning, too, but decided I’d try to (slowly & gently!) stretch and loosen up some and then attempt bi’s & tri’s. Had some pain, but I was pretty careful. The key, I think, is to keep moving. So, I’m aiming to do BC tonight after work, without slowing down. I can't wait!!

Wendy :: I would want to do the same re: the Disney marathon…I know someone who ran her first marathon there and she did enjoy the parks, too…My expectation would be to do/see what I can and not try to run around like a nut and do it all.

Angie :: sorry about your sore throat, but it seems the coffee/exercise helped. Cupful of razor blades – now THAT’s a colorful description. Love it! In fact, I might use that one with my students…thanks! :) Yoga Toes look sort of like the toe separators you might see being used for pedicures…They stretch your toes and are supposed to help with foot problem like bunions, hammertoes, etc. All the good stuff…I just started doing weights first earlier this year…I have heard (from the knowledgeable folks around here) that it is better for fat loss…Sometimes, I still do it the other way around ~ it depends on how I feel…With BC, I don’t think I would have any energy left to do weights if I left ‘em for after. *lol*...that’s a toughie!…Oh, it would be so cool to run the full with Wendy!…Did DH manage to smooth over the work situation?

Laura :: glad you enjoyed your weekend…Have done Disney a few times, so I don’t think I’d feel a need to rush around and “do” everything. Plus, it’s usually in January, so I wouldn’t be able to take too much time from work. This would be the full 26.2. Seems like the ideal spirited environment for first-timers.

Diana :: any DOMS today? I only did the first two segments of the leg work on Sunday, so I have to reserve my judgment on that one. Maybe the premixes will be more to your preferences.

Good Morning Cabbers!

Cathy: I was thinking about the Disney Marathon thing y'day and thought to myself that if the trip was scheduled so that you got there and had the entire next day to "rest" (do something but nothing that was completely tiring-maybe hit a park for half a day or something), then ran the marathon the following day and THEN had a few days reserved to hit the parks that the walking in the parks would probably actually do the legs some good. I know as sore as my legs got after the HM, I definately felt better after moving around as they would stiffen up when I would sit-exactly what your back is doing. I hope your plan works so that you can get your work out in today. What did the chiro have to say about your new pain?

Angie: How do you feel? Are you an Airborne user? Nope, no weigh-in post HM. I actually thought about it (LOL) but my scale is dead. It's a digital and the batteries died. I need to get my arse to the store to replace them.

Laura: Sorry work is so busy. How was class last night? Any updates on your friend with the crazy X??

Diana: Buzzkill for sure, girl! :p :7 I am getting better and better as time goes on. My neck is soooo close to being good for a weight work out! I am going to take another pill this morning so I am hoping it will knock out the last of the pain during the course of the morning. I have to work anyway so perhaps by the time I'd be ready to work out, I'll be pain-free! Keep your fingers crossed for me! I could do cardio today but after Sunday, I am no rush! LOL I am really craving weights. I haven't been able to do any since Thursday!!!x(

So as I just wrote to Diana, my neck might be better by this afternoon so that I can work out! I am hoping that when I take my med this morning it will knock out the last of the pain while I am working. Keep your fingers crossed for me!:)

Good Morning Ladies,

I didn't sleep very well last night and this sinus infection is kickin' my butt. I got up and put on my w/o clothes but even after a cup o' joe I just don't have the energy. I should be doing LIS and shoulders. DS has football practice tonight so maybe I can try it then.

It sounds like we are all having a bad week.

Cathy-I hope your back feels better soon. I agree that moving is probably the best thing you can do right now. Was the chiro any help? So far no leg doms from yesterday's w/o. I'm sure I will be taking advantage of the premixes. For me, an hour cathe cardio is worth 8 activity points and an hour weight w/o is worth 3. I don't earn nearly enough (for me) activity points.

Wendy-It sounds like you are on the mend. I'm glad your starting to feel like yourself again. How is training going with your friend?

Angie-Hope you are feeling better too today. For fatloss and if you are planning on doing cardio and wts in the same session it is suggested that you do weights first. The reason is that your body depletes your glycogen stores during the weights leaving fat to be burned during the cardio. I wo in my basement and I prefer weights first simply because I tend to get chilled and am basically uncomfortable doing weights in my wet, and sweaty clothes. Just a personal preference for me.

Laura-How was class last night? Did you tape it for us?:)

Good morning Ladies! (uuummm almost lunch I suppose .. I am late today)

Class was EXCELLENT .. did super cardio .. and left drenched . . like I had been in a rain storm (all those CABS coming out .. LOL)

Diana I LOVE the idea of taping my classes and sending a copy to all of you to do!! I actually taped one a couple of years ago .. a student of mine was moving to another state and she wanted MY workouts!! I may get it together and do that .. we could all have Laura's Super Cyber workout!! LOL

Hey .. Wendy you could tape a couple of your personal traning sessions and shar w/all of us .. then we could alternate between MY torture and yours!!}(

Cathy .. hoping today finds your back a little better .. DH has a horrible back .. he has a degenerative disc and one MISSING disc .. how he gets along like he does is amazing .. and he is strong as an ox .. that is one reason he does so good .. but when it goes out .. he is pittiful .. I feel so sorry for him .. so I am sending some healing vibes your way!

Angie ... hope your day is better also. seems all of us are ailing a bit this week! that Amy Bento .. I don't have any of her tapes .. I want to say I previewed one .. and she was yelling "WHOOO" a lot .. got on my nerves big time .. so that is why I never ordered her videos .. but others on the main boards seem to LOVE them!

OK .. today is HEAVY legs in the gym ... it is cooler today .. only a high of 54 :eek: .. so I am gonna freeze the booty off!! LOL

Got good news on my friend w/cancer .. her evaluation yesterday was good .. all of the tumors are shrinking and the one on her head has gone almost completly down!!:D :D ... we all are so happy to get some good news ... she starts another round of chemo and some sort of hormone therapy next week .. so she has still got a ways to go .. but at least there is some positive news! I miss her .. but still sending pictures to her and talking to her on the phone .. her spirits are high .. and she said she lost all of her hair but her sister bought her some beautful scarves .. so she says she is "styling" right now!!:D

OK .. better run .. about to hit the cold gym! BBL to check in w/all of you! have a great one!:7 :7
 
Hi Girls!

No time for personals right now but I'll be back later. I just finished my work out though. YEAY! I did 4DS bi/tri (FINALLY!LOL) and the kickbox cardio and ab work. I had to go light on the punches with my left arm since that's the side where my arthritis is and if I pushed it too hard I could "feel" it. I also felt my legs ALOT during K/B. YEOWZAS! Not a bad thing, though. I guess the effects of Sunday will linger on a bit longer...}(

I am hoping to get in a short easy run at the gym tmrw or fri...I can't believe I am saying that!:p LOL

Diana: Training is going well. BF is just getting over an upper resp. infection or some such thing so there have been some bumps in the road which have caused her weight to fluctuate and her losses are alot less this month. I keep telling her not to get upset cause things like this will happen and that next month will be better!:) Sorry you are feeling lousy. Seems everyone is getting sick somehow. ACK! Hope you feel better soon!

Laura: LOL at the taping thing. After having to tape myself for my cert and having DH tape me during my half, I think I've had enough! I will however, be happy to post my friend's current program if anyone is interested. Keep in mind though, that she is very much a beginner!

Cathy: I know you had a follow up appointment for the teeth whitening tonight. How did that go?

DH only worked 8 hours today so we went to Costco. Not exactly my idea of a FUN evening with the family but it was looong overdue. :eek:

Gtg get the little guy to bed now...he's up much later then usual!

Hi girls

Today was the X B&B and AR200. Whew! I really felt it in my arms...Love it!
The kids carved their pumpkins tonight. We had roasted pumpkin seeds....yummy! A once per year treat!!

Diana - Bento definitely does look like complicated choreo....which is why I thought that might be right up your alley. I think I would get too mad before I actually picked up on it. You'll have to go to her website and check out that slo-mo w/o she has on pre-sale. C'mon...I dare ya!!}( :p

Wendy - Sorry bout the aches.:-( So glad you were able to get that workout in. Hopefully you won't be too sore tomorrow.
Today I only have a very minor runny nose and some sneezing...other than that everything is OK. I'm lucky if this is as bad as it gets. Thanks for asking.

I'm gonna try weights first next time on BC.....I think that would be best.
Not sure really about DH and his problem......he's still gettin' the silent treatment so I haven't talked to him. I know that probably sounds childish, but he won't listen to me anyway so I find little point in talking to him now. Although, I have to admit, I hate being mad all the time.
I would love to cheer you and Wendy on to a great finish on a full. Hopefully you two can make it happen......that'd be great!

Laura - Yah!!! I'd love to see what torture you dish out to you students.:eek: }( ;-)

I'm not sure about Bento's characteristics either.....it's hard to try another instructor when they will just get compared to Cathe. Although, I do like Gin Millers personality and Tony as well, so we'll see. I previewed slo-mo and just had to have it.

Tomorrow is supposed to be yoga, but I'm gonna give Squeeze a try and see what all the fuss is about. Should I prepare for DOMS afterwards?:eek:

Ang: Glad you don't seem to be coming down with anything severe. As you can see I gave in and did cardio anyway. It was that or giving the 4DS leg workout a shot and I decided to save that for tomorrow along with a short run. }( Thanks for mentioning B&B. That reminds me that I need not forget to jump on my chin up bar while using Cathe's new series!}(
 
Hey girls!

Usually I am catchin’ zzz’s by now, but I took a nap earlier. Woke up and did BC, so I’m still feelin’ pumped.

Wendy :: I think the marathon is usually on a Sunday…so I would fly down Friday after school and maybe come back on Tuesday evening. I think I could probably get two back-to-back personal days but not more. Still, that would be fine for me…the chiro agreed that I overdid it when I lifted those cement blocks over the weekend. She does a lot of scolding. *lol* I feel my legs a lot during BC and was surprised I didn’t have DOMS last time…The follow-up went well…Dentist had to make molds of my teeth for the trays…Plus, he looked at the tooth that has been bothering me (aesthetically), so I made an appointment to have some cosmetic work done next week. Whoa, DH is partyin’ it up only working 8 hours. ;) Hope his schedule returns to normal ASAP.

Diana :: sorry that sinus infection is still in full force…Sounds like rest is in order…The chiro did help…I will apply some heat and BioFreeze before I go to bed and do more stretching/loosening up in the AM…That helped a lot…I hear you on the activity points! :7 I prefer longer cardio, too, actually, but I think this series will work well with the demands of my current schedule, esp. as we move into the holiday season. I’m trying to do hour-long workouts during the week with extended workouts on the weekends. If after four weeks I don’t see results, then I know I’d better step up the cardio some more. I do think I am a person who needs more cardio.

Laura :: Glad to hear some positive news about your friend…enjoy your leg work. All right, get that workout up on YouTube for us, and don’t say too many WOOs! ;) *lol* But we do expect a couple of Waaaaar Eagles!!!

Angie :: The chiro adjustment felt great (as it always does)…but once I slow down, it’s as if rigor mortis sets in. I think I’m getting it under control, though. At least I’m able to work out, so I’m happy!!…Hey, does that mean you’d come to Disney? A Cabber GTG would be AWESOME!…Are you doing full body Squeeze? I have to say, I laughed at the pushups in the beginning and based upon that, I thought the whole thing would be a joke. It’s not. But that being said, I don’t find the u/b very challenging. The lower body, on the other hand, (and I know I’m repeating myself here) is a different story. I've found it most effective when I use it as an add-on. I think you will definitely feel it in your inner thighs. The Windshield Wiper, the “L”, and the moves against the wall in Power Squeeze (I'm forgetting what they're called) are GREAT.

I can’t believe it is almost 11 pm and I am still up. In addition to the nap and late workout, I am having a tough week at school (some extremely stressful stuff is going on) and I have a feeling it will be hard getting to sleep tonight. I am really looking forward to the weekend...
