Good Morning.

I've been up since 4am. UGH. I wonder how long this bout of insomnia will last. Atleast I am falling asleep fast and STAYING asleep for several hours before it starts. Getting up at 4am is not nearly as bad as not being able to fall asleep until 4am! :eek:

So I've decided to run this morning. I may or may not do 4DS weights at nap time but I GOTTA start my race training and this morning is a better choice then tmrw. It'll be 7 miles. I'm hoping to hit the road at 7 to beat the heat. It shouldn't take me more then 1:15 to finish.

Laura: Thanks for the input on leaning out the lower half. I think I will throw those body weight exercises into the mix. I'll have to see how I can fit it all in. I have to avoid being sore on my long run days after today. I can already feel my glutes from Plyo y'day but I can handle it on a 7 miler. As the mileage goes up I am not going to want to be sore.

Off to get more java...BBL!
 
Back from my run. I lucked out in that it was overcast so I didn't have any sun to deal with. It wasn't hot but a bit humid so I was sweatin' nicely anyway but that's okay. I completed my 7 miles in 77 min 51 secs. That's 2+ minutes more then what I was shooting for but I'm still happy with it. It's a training run, not a race, right? :)

It's just me and Maggie.;) Thankfully she is much better behaved when it's just us b/c I don't let her get away with any crap....and I don't play rough with her like the boys do. So, she's just laying by the door and watching the birds and critters. It's kinda funny how she is so amazed at everything. I don't think she's ever just stopped to see what's out there.

I'm not sure how much stuff I'm gonna get done today since I have to watch her. It's hard to keep tabs on her and get anything done!:eek:

I do have to get the laundry, vacuuming, dishes, etc. done though b/c tomorrow the heat and humidity come into the picture. Ug! I don't know how you girls deal with that all the time.

Wendy - Good for you in getting that run outta the way. Glad it wasn't too hot for you. Great time too!
Luckily I rarely get insomnia. I'm pretty consistent with when I go to bed and get up. OK - I stretch that on the weekends, but overall it's pretty close. I did get some insomnia last week though when I stayed up and watched "Fear Itself" on NBC. Have you ever watched that?? Yikes! I'm such a scare-d cat.:rolleyes: I layed there and tossed and turned and put in a horrible night. Note to self - stop watching that show!
So when will you get the next installment to One on One??

Good Morning Ladies,

After working with support-I finally got a new password and am back to Senior Member status! Unfortunately I was not given my previous user name but that's okay.

The schedule calls for a 12 mile run today. The temps are supposed to be over 100 again today. I cannot handle this kind of heat. I plan on doing a total body weight workout and cardio fusion. It's been a really long time since I've done a Cathe cardio. I'm sure it will be fun.

I plan on packing my suitcase for the RT tonight or tomorrow. I just want to make sure I have everything I need and give myself plenty of time to pick anything up I don't have.

Wendy-I too struggle with insomnia from time to time. As a matter of fact, I was down here on the computer at 3am this morning. Good job getting that training run out of the way early today. I don't usually care how long it takes me on my training runs, especially if it's hot! When is your race?

Diana: Enjoy your Cathe weights and cardio today. So when will you do your long run if not today? Good for you packing for the RT this weekend already. I won't pack until Thursday night/Friday morning. I'm always a last minute packer. I'll never change! LOL

Ang: I figure the next One on One will be shipped mid-month as the first was shipped in the middle of July. I can't wait to see what kind of work out it is. So what exactly do you want to know about Plyo legs?
 
Hey Wendy-I have no idea when I will get the long run in. I might try for tomorrow since it will only be in the high 90's. Next Saturday is supposed to be a 13 miler-but I will be at the RT. To be honest, I'm growing bored of all the running. I miss all the other workouts I have. My weight is up, my definition is gone etc. As you can tell, my motivation is gone.

I can't schedule a workout on MyCalendar. When I click on the date, nothing happens. Does this feature work for you ladies?

Diana: Sorry to hear you've lost your motivation to train for the mary. What are you going to do? How many days a week are you running? Perhaps you can cut back a day to atleast guaruntee yourself a good solid weight work out every week. Atleast it's a start! Perhaps it will help?
 
Hi girls

Well, I can actually SEE my countertop now.:D It's been a while. I've got a few more things to do, but am happy with the progress of cleanmax. I thought it was gonna be a real bugger with Maggie, but she has been hangin close to me all day and has not had an accident yet. Although, she'd better quick attacking my shoes! *lol* She's curled up next to my feet now.....I think she's feeling lonely without the boys here.

My next step is to go down and print of some of these Cathe sheets for my notebook. I want to get all that stuff together today and my bag packed as well.:)

Diana - Senior members are now "Cathletes". Glad you got that straightened out. I haven't tried the workokut manager yet, so I'm not sure about it. I do know that the only way I can get into it is to log out of the forums first. I'm not sure if Chris has fixed that yet or not.
I'm packing up my stuff today too. I don't want the stress of last minute packing since these next couple of weeks are gonna be super busy for me and I need to get as prepared as I can or I'm sure I'll go nuts.
I didn't call the Fairfield since I thought we would be meeting up at the airport and then heading to the hotel with Cathy. Is that OK or do you want me to call them and give them your name just in case plans change?

Wendy - I can see that AC would be a must in your neck o' the woods. We rarely have to use it here, although I'm sure Mon and Tues it will be on. We just have a window unit in our bedroom, but I don't like to use it b/c sometimes it messes with my sinuses and gives me a headache.
You pretty much answered the questions on plyo legs - old exercises with a new twist and about an hour long. I'm tempted, but I'm waiting on STS before I do anything else. And with all the spending we will be doing on the house, I need to cut in other places.:(
I'll PM you with my cell phone number. Maybe we'll be able to meet up before going to the meet and greet?? I'm not sure what your time frame is on that but Cathy is planning on picking us up at the airport. My flight is supposed to come in at 1:49. I'm not sure how long it will be for me to grab my bag and get to the hotel. Everyone from the July RT suggested going to the hotel first to drop off your stuff and then heading to the gym since Cathe doesn't even get there until 6 or so. Any ideas when you will be getting to the hotel??

OK - off to get my Cathe book together.... Then I gotta tackle a workout - still thinkin BBC legs.:confused:

Hi Girls,

I'm back to report my workout is done. I'm sure I will be sore tomorrow! I did MIS and opted for a shorter cardio-Step Blast. I will do CF mix & max premix tomorrow. I am beat.

Wendy-I'm going to peruse the internet for some 3 day/wk mary training programs. The program I'm following is running 4 days per week. It just doesn't give me time for weight training and now I'm starting to dread running instead of enjoying it.

Angie-I love how the house looks when cleanmax is done! It would be nice if it could stay that way. I will plan on meeting up with you and Cathy at the airport. I already sent you my itinerary. Do you mind pm'ing me with your flight info so I can check the monitors at the airport when I get there. My flight gets in 1 hr before yours does.

Back to report that BBC legs is done! I'm sure I'll be feelin it tomorrow.:confused: I followed up with IMAX3 stretch. Ahhhhh - that was all good. BBC really should have a stretch segment....

I think I have my Cathe book together now too. Now, just to read thru it all. I might just have to sit back with a CAB and go thru it tonight.

Di - I'm glad you found some fun with Cathe. I hope you figure this running thing out. It stinks when you don't look forward to a workout.:confused: Too bad we didn't have STS since that is only 3 days per week, you could do the running on the other days and be all set to go.
I'm wondering what the RT surprises are.
I'll pm you now with my flight information.
