I banked quite a few zzz's and slept well for the most part - EXCEPT at one point I woke up drenched in sweat after a nightmare that a serial killer had me captive. I woke up as I escaped from the house and went running down the street. Ugh! *lol*

Angie :: I'll need to look into the cartridge thing - thanks!...On the X, I lost 3-4 lbs. and about 8 inches. I wasn't following the eating program. I think the best results I've seen so far were from the Aug. 04 rotation. I am still thinking on this. I hate to back out of the X, but I don't want to gain over the holidays as I did last year.

Diana :: Thanks for the shake info...I think I may eat too unclean for the core plan, but I think if I drop that recipe back to 1 scoop of protein, it'll still work for me. What kind of powder do you use?...The elliptical I bought is the NordicTrack Autostrider 800 from Sears. It is a spacesaver. http://www.nordictrack.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product2_12401_10301_27451_-1_19053 It was $719 at Sears if you use your Sears card ($780 with tax), but I am seeing the Nordic website offering it for $799 with free shipping, and since *I think* you don't pay tax on the internet (right?), it'd be about the same. This also has a music port where you can plug in your iPod or MP3 and play the music through its speakers. Two folks on the cheetahs thread have the same or similar model and they are very pleased with it.

Hi Wendy and Laura! What's new with you two today?

I didn't work up a new rotation for these next two weeks (the in-between period before the X) as I'm still not sure what to do. For this week, maybe I'll just repeat what I should have done last week but mostly scrapped in favor of rest. So tonight I'll go for my usual Mon. yoga or stretch.

Have a marvelous Monday! Students have half days today and tomorrow while it is parent/teacher conference week, so these'll be fly-by days. Will BBL...

ETA: Today's weigh-in day for me, and I'm happy to say I'm down 1.4 for a total of 8.1 lbs. since starting WW in early September. Considering that the past 4 weeks have NOT been exemplary eating weeks, I'll gladly take that!

Good Morning.

Cathy: Glad you got some good sleep last night. DH finally slept well after a few nights of relative sleeplessness due to his cough. Between being exhausted and taking the Nyquil I made him buy and take (instead of just complaining about the cough!), he slept like a rock he said. Good. Maybe he won't be so darned cranky now!:p
So if you don't think the X will work with your current goals, then don't do it. I was looking forward to the company but I'm a big girl and can go it alone if need be!;) And besides...it's not like I can't understand how someone could CHANGE THEIR MIND about a work out or rotation they are going to do!:7 :7 :7

So the recovery drink I bought from Hammer must be doing it's job! After y'day killer leg burner that I did, my legs don't hurt this morning!!!!! I used my last packet y'day though and haven't ordered anymore yet. I am wondering if I should hit a store and pick some up (even if it's not the same brand) this time instead of having to wait for it to be shipped. Hmmm...decisions. :p

Off to get more coffee now!:9
 
Morning Ladies ..

aahhhhhhh a short work week this week!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA:D

This is going to be MY REST week! Yes .. I think I am going to try to do nothing ... (except major clean max and shopping max getting ready for turkey day) ... I canceled my classes .. and I am going home straight after work and enjoy my babies and DH!! Not even going to do the gym at lunch .. taking the week off to re-charge my very burned out batteries!

Weekend was a good one .. was able to relax and let go a bit! No ball game to worry about .. the BIGGIE is this Sat. ... we battle our sworn longtime enemy .. Auburn V/S Alabama .. man I hope we put a whooping on them!! It is so bad a rival game that 2 of my AL friends do not want to come over to watch the game w/us .. like I said they are really obnoxious fans .. LOVE them though!!

My baby dog seems to be feeling better .. he threw up ONCE this weekend .. but he started back eating .. and has perked up! So I am praying it IS just his tooth .. I took him to the vet Friday .. and the tooth is cracked .. and part of it broken off .. the vet cleaned it and gave him some antibiotics .. and seemed to think that was the problem .. he ran some bloodwork and I am to check w/him Wed. .. and report in.

We went out w/DB and SIL Sat. night .. ended up at Shorter .. SIL won!! She put $5 in and ended up w/ $280 .. I ..sad to report LOST this time .. but that is the way it goes!! DH won so that was good - he was due!!:D

Cathy .. think I got your vertigo .. my head is just a spinning today .. sinuses I think ... that and I can not hold my eyes open this morning ... why is it I can NOT sleep on the weekend . .but on a work day I feel like I could sleep forever??

Di .. congrats on Jerod's team! WOW I know he was thrilled and Mom was beaming w/pride! I am doing a happy dance for both of you!!

Angie - how did the guy's hunting go? LOL .. DH is getting soft in his old age .. he wimped out of hunting Sat. and Sunday morning .. his excuse was he forgot to lay everything out and did not want to wake me looking for things! :eek: yeah right .. uummm think the fact that is was 32 degrees and the bed was nice and toasty had something to do w/it. But he went Sat. afternoon .. didn't bag anything though!

Wendy - hope your "blues" are better .. and hate hearing about your troubles .. whatever the case I hope you were able to handle things the way you needed to and hope it is all better today. I know about letting things go until something has GOT to be done about it .. and it is never an easy thing .. but sometimes once the air clears things seem so much brighter!! Sending some bright positive energy your way!!:D

OK .. I am going to go .. lots of reports to do .. and hoping to survive this Monday that really is a Wednesday!!

Hi Ladies,

I've been really busy at work this morning. We put a new system in prduction this morning. So far everything seems to running smooth.

I did GS C&T this morning when DH kicked me out of bed. He is off this week so I asked him to make sure I got up in time. I usually just wake up on my own while he is in the shower. Since he's off this week-he's getting me up:)

Cathy-The elliptical looks wonderful. In order for DH to be able to use one we need to get a gym style elliptcal that is for over 300lbs. If it was just for me, this one looks great. I use different protein powders but the one I'm using now is an EAS brand I picked up at Costco. 2 scoops is one serving and it's 150 calories. Maybe we can pick a rotation for December. Good job on the weight loss. I haven't been able to make my weigh ins consistently. I'm looking for another time or location that would work with my schedule.

Wendy-I'll be interested to hear what kind of results you get from the bands (no weights). I'm thinking of holding off on the X until maybe Jan. Weightloss is my current goal and I didn't get that from the X.

Laura-Enjoy your rest week. I'm sure you'll be re-energized to start up again in another week. Thanks for the kind words about ds. Sorry you lost but that's why it's called gambling. I'm terrible at it, but DH has pretty good luck.

Angie-Make sure you read my post to from last night. What are up to today?

Laura, Enjoy your rest week. You deserve it the way you teach classes AND do your own work outs! Now if you only had the week off from the asylum as well then it would be PERFECT, right!? }( Glad the doggy is getting better and that SOMEBODY in your group won some cash over the weekend!:)

Diana, So DH is off and he is getting YOU up?? That's funny! Whatever works!:) Glad you got in your work out this morning. Feels good to get it done first thing. It's so hard to motivate myself that early in the morning though. :-( So far I am thoroughly enjoying not using my weights. It's such a nice change of pace and I am still working my tail off! I am not really keeping track of my measurements, etc right now but will do it for sure during the X as well as pics again so I can really see what happens.

I just finished Imax Extreme. WOW. It's been a loooong time since I picked that one up! I didn't do the weight segments obviously. I just grabbed some water at those points and ff'd right to the next cardio segment. I'm super sweaty and it was so much fun!}(

Have to hit the showers. I'm training tonight.

Wendy :: thanks for understanding...I was all set to go forward with it (even investing in the Door Gym), but upon further contemplation, I really don't think it is the best move for me with fat loss as my primary goal. I think I am going to go back to doing a leg-intensive rotation with 6 days of cardio and the 4DS, which is I suppose is X-like in that it goes pretty heavy. The timesaver aspect of the new series seems to work well for me.

Laura :: glad it seems to have just been a tooth issue...the vertigo seems to be on the wane...it only happened a couple of times today...very disorienting, though!

Diana :: I fiddled around with a possible rotation this afternoon between parent conferences. It would include the 4DS, 6 cardio sessions (30 min or longer), abs 3x, legs 2x plus a little freestyle, and yoga or stretch 1x. I haven't settled on it, though. What are you thinking?

Angie :: so where you at today?

I had to pick up the elliptical tonight, so I squeezed in Amy's Abs & Stretch segment 1 (which is stretch only). It was quick but felt good. I'm still DOMSin' from y'day - way deep in the glute! Love it. I think the BOSU did it. Now I am beat and ready to hit the couch.

Hi girls

Finally got back from the away game with dinner afterwards of coarse. Their team won again. They have some of the sweetest plays. We were sitting around a bunch of Onaway folks and even they were clapping at some of the plays our guys pulled off. They play better in 7th grade than I ever did in high school. LOL!

I got my measuring tape and calipers in the mail today but haven't had a chance to play with them yet. Maybe on Thanksgiving.......or maybe not!

Thank goodness! I can still do it to this day, but I hardly ever have bad dreams anymore. Some of them can be disturbing though and I wake myself up from those too.
I'm thinking I may lay off the muscle and work on fat loss for a while too. I just am not certain how I'm going to go about that yet. I'll have a few extra days off this week to figure it out.
Wooohooo! on your weight loss! Those are pretty impressive numbers. Slow and steady wins the race. You're doing great!

Laura - So glad your pooch is doing better. What a relief!
DH didn't bag a buck but my dad did. They go to the same hunting camp and dad got a 6 point. Apparently dad doesn't want the meat so we're getting half of it. Grrrrrr. I like cooking with venison burger but I have limited freezer space right now.
Enjoy your rest week.....I'll bet you'll be ready to get back to it next week.

Hi ladies,

Class was great tonight. It was a circuit consisting of cardio and upper body weights-only a little bit of running stairs tonight.

Wendy-I'm not really a morning person. I can get up and work out, but I'm not a very nice person until I've worked out and had my shower and coffee. DH is the annoying happy person in the wee hours of the morning. He's up by 6am on the weekends and I usually sleep until after 8am if possible.

Cathy-I've been perusing the rotation forum looking for one to start next week. I've narrowed it to these Cathe rotations: Jan 04, Jan 06 (90 min), Jun 04 (ADV), Aug 05, Jul 03 (using updated cardio) and this one from fitness freak http://69.0.137.118/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=7&topic_id=4341&mesg_id=4341 Oh, I guess that's 6. I will decide by this weekend and let you know. I really need some high intensity cardio everyday and cleaning up my eating would help a lot. (I'm eating chocolate chips right now)

Angie-So glad to hear you won!!! I'm probably a sore loser so I'm glad my son tends to win. LMAO-They play better in 7th grade than I ever did in high school. LOL! So do you want to join me on a fatloss rotation. I would love the company and Cathy probably would too. It would give you a chance to try out all those workouts you have now:) Obviously you missed the point and you are missing out on eating healthy hummus and tofu:) DH doesn't care for tofu either but he doesn't complain (too loudly) anyway. He would definitely prefer beef!

Off to take care of laundry before heading to bed.
