Cabs & Abs - I like to move it, move it! Monday

Happy Monday, everyone! Although I can BARELY "move it" today. (More on that later.)

Personals first!!

Wendy :: how do you feel this morning? I can't believe how late you stayed up.

Di :: aww, thanks for the kind words. :) I had the same thought on doubling up the cardio sometimes. I haven’t checked out the premixes but judging by the length, some of ‘em must do just that, I would think. For now, though, I like the fact that you can bang out cardio & weights in an hour. With the way my schedule is going lately, it’s just what I need.

Angie :: so has DH decided to handle the employee situation differently than you’d discussed? I agree with you on the KB abs. Unique and seriously TOUGH moves!

Laura :: so what were you up to this weekend? How'd your team do?

I woke up with ground control to major DOMS in the booty region from yesterday's mishmosh. Yay! But I also woke up with some rather intense back pain. I knew I'd tweaked it the past couple of days, but it's worse now. And it's pretty bad. Even the slightest movement causes really sharp pains in my spine. I'm going to pop some Advil and take it easy. Luckily, my next adjustment is tomorrow. I still can't believe what kind of pain a minor fender bender can cause. So tonight, I'll either do Crunch: Joy of Yoga (which is pretty gentle) or I might just take the full rest day. Will play by ear.

Have a great day, ladies!! BBL to catch up.

Good Morning Cabbers!

Cathy: Sorry about the back pain! Hope it goes away fast!

I am hobbling around here rather slowly this morning. My hips, thighs, left knee and toes on my left foot are all screaming at me today. Some louder (hips/thighs) then others (knee/toes) but still yellin' none-the-less! OY! LOL Needless to say, I will not be doing ANY cardio for a few days until I can walk like a human again!:p

I am, however, considering banging out 4DS bi/tris today. We'll see what happens.

I slept lousy last night. It hurt to move in bed so I would wake up every time I went to change my position and then at one point I couldn't fall back to sleep and was up for atleast an hour. x(

That's about it for me...what's up with everyone else?

Grrr....somehow I managed to aggravate the arthritis in my neck this morning. That means definately no bi/tri work out for me today! ACK! Actually, not doing the work out is fine...I just can't deal with this pain on top of what my lower body is going through! UGH! x(

Hi ladies,

I did HIS with chest & back this morning. I need to work on section 3 of the cardio but should get it down in another time or 2. Love, love, love the heavy back work. I'm heading to the rec ctr now for some cardio and abs.

Cathy-sorry to hear about the back pain. Hope it goes away soon. I hate when pain keeps me from my workouts. You certainly don't want to do anything to make it worse. Take care.

Wendy-Take some ibuprofen and rest for a few days. I liked Angie's comment about the DOMs being like a trophy! For me, the last 3 miles are always tough. I just kept telling myself-"you know you can run 3 miles". What a great accomplishment.

Angie-Sorry you and DH had a disagreement. I guess he hasn't learned women are always right. I'm sure he will get it really soon. I really liked the KB abs too. I don't know how Cathe comes up with all this stuff. She is so creatively talented.

Laura-I'm worried you're locked in the asylum since we haven't heard from you. What are you up to?

Nancy-Hi Nancy, how is school going?

Diana

Hi Diana and all who follow.

HIS is a tricky step work out. I did it once and quit part way through cause I got mad. I'll try it again soon though.

I took ibuprofen y'day for my legs and then ended up taking my prescription anti-inflammatory for my neck this morning. It takes time to work but hopefully I'll be okay by later tomorrow. I don't feel my legs to much anymore with the exception of going down stairs. I think the prescription helped my legs more then neck so far!LOL

I am going to play my rest days by ear. Today is a full rest day and we will see how tomorrow plays out with my aches and pains. I'd like to jump back on the wagon asap though I have no plans on doing any intense cardio or running until the end of this week!:p I'd like to get back into weight work ASAP though.

So I was texting my DH earlier and I asked him if he thought a full marathon was out of my reach....Yeah, that means the thought is crossing my mind....I must be mad! Stark raving mad I tell you!

GTG 4 now. Will peek back in later to see if Angie or Cathy dropped in. Where's Laura today?

Later Babes!

Have read the posts but I'm running out of steam here with eyelids at half mast. You know I'm good for personals in the AM.

Did Crunch Joy of Yoga tonight. Was just what I needed.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Hi ladies

I had a rotten, yet productive Monday. It was just rotten b/c of my mood. I still haven't let DH off the hook and am dishin' out the silent treatment. At this point any words that come out of my mouth that he can hear are NOT very nice. I'm just not happy with the way he handled the situation and I'm still pi$$ed. When he's on the phone with Mike he sides with him and when he's on the phone with Jim he sides with him. I am so totally NOT a ride the fence kind of person, but then again, not everyone likes me either. DH is much more of a people person than I am, but I find his approach to this situation hipocritical (sp?). I do agree that they are probably both to blame but geez..... Oh well, I don't have to work with them every day, so I guess he can do what he wants.....he's gonna anyways.....which leads me back to the reason I'm mad.}(
Does this make any sense at all to your girls or have my hormones hijacked my brain?? Unfortunately, the latter may have a lot to do with this....maybe I won't be so mad in a few days.

Cathy - When was your fender bender?? Did I miss that?
Hope that chiro appt. tomorrow brings some relief for your back.
Good for you on doing that yoga.....I'm sure I would've passed on that one.
Sleep tight!;-)

Wendy - I was surprised at how late you were up last night too. You're like the energizer bunny.

You knew that was coming didn't you?? *lol*
Girl, I'm sure your muscles are screamin at you! A couple rest days would probably do your body good. Remember that rest is what builds muscle. Don't feel guilty about taking a few days completely off....you definitely deserve it.
BTW, a full is definitely within your reach......maybe not tomorrow or the next day.....but DEFINITELY within your reach!

Diana - Cathe is creatively talented isn't she? I like the way you worded that.....so appropriate. It makes me always wonder what she will come up with next and she never seems to disappoint.
Ya know, I was thinking about combining the LIS with the HIS cardio portions and coming up with a step blast #2!;-) Of coarse, I still need to study up on the moves in HIS and even a couple in LIS. I got a little mad at HIS too like Wendy did....but I know when I get it it will be so fun.

Laura - how's it goin' girl? What was your weekend like?

Can you all believe I received the squeeze today?? I think I ordered it on Friday or Saturday and it's already here. Wow! She could certainly teach beachbody a thing or two about shipping.
I'm gonna use it in place of yoga on Thursday....if I can hold off that long. Today was CST & ARX.....yup, I lifted super heavy and busted some of my personal bests. It's amazing what anger can do for a workout!}( Tomorrow is Cathe's new BC....I've heard great things and can't wait!

Hi Ladies,

I did make it to the rec ctr for a 40 min interval w/o on the elliptical. I really pushed it during those intervals and burned 629 calories. I had planned on doing 20 min on the stepper but was beat after that. I finished up with some weighted ab work. I'm going to give heavy legs and kickbox a try tomorrow morning.

Wendy-glad to hear your arthritis meds are working for your legs too. I have all the confidence that you can complete a marathon. I really wanted to do a full marathon but my feet problems have gotten much worse the past couple of years. Last year at this time I ran a HM and could barely walk afterwards. I had to ice my feet and they hurt so bad.

Cathy-see you in the morning:) Thanks to for suggesting the yoga toes. I'm asking for them for Christmas-they sound like they could really help me a lot.

Angie-Maybe DH should have a meeting with the two parties together to facilitate them working through the issue. It would be wise for him to come up with some acceptable (to your company) resolutions first and maybe go through those. I did have a little trouble with segment 3 of HIS so I'll probably watch and practice that section when I'm doing laundry. I haven't tried LIS yet but combining them is what I'm really looking forward to. I'm also using an 8" step next time. I didn't see any reason why an 8" step couldn't be used in HIS and that is my standard step height except for Imax 3.

Laura-where are you missy?

Diana
