I would really appreciate any info on this. I've never taken a supplement before, but I'm in a terrible rut and I want to kick myself out of it. I'm revamping by diet (probably the biggest cuplrit) and increasing the cardio, but a little help would be great! An article I read stated that CLA is found in whole- vs. low- or non-fat dairy products. The thought of drinking 20 oz. of whole milk every day (as the article suggested) just sounds gross. I enjoy milk but only non-fat (just my preference). Would drinking non-fat plus taking the supplement give me the same results? Summer always seems to leave me heavier...we're with people more, going more places, being spontaneous, etc. and diet/exercise is less consistant, so obviously I'm in a body-image funk and looking for adivce. Thanks!

I can't say I've had significant results, but I do feel that the CLA supplement I'm taking helps me get rid of that stubborn belly fat. Several factors may be at play, here, but I've stopped taking it, then started up again, and I think it helps. Other people respond to it differently, though. My dad took it for a month and gained five pounds, with no other changes in diet. I think different bodies respond differently. Let us know what you think if you try it.

I know what you mean about summer time. They always say that you normally gain weight in the winter monthes but I usually gain in the summer.
I to have been trying to fix up my diet.Half of the problem is that I need groceries now and I don't want to go and get them.x( I was also going through a slump for a little while, where I would workout 1 day and take a couple of days off.And I was always use to working out everyday for 2 hours.I have increased my cardio and I am trying to get myself make into lifting.I am now doing the sept rotation so that is helping.
I tried CLA before but I didn't see any results from it.But I do think that the American version and the Canadian version are two VERY differnt things.
Even though I have tried supplements, I have no problem saying that the majority of them were a waste of my hard earned money. If you have a healthy diet and a good workout scheldule then you should see results.Sometimes I felt like I needed a pill though to clean my diet up.I am a all or nothing kind of girl.
Anyway,I don't know if I helped much but I just wanted to let you know that I have been where you are.:7

Thanks for your responses. This summertime phenomenon seems to happen every year! You'd think that with all the fresh produce and grilling that I'd be lighter in the summer, but it is just not so! And it makes me so uncomfortable...like I'm going to crash into everything and pop all my clothing seams. As for CLA, I think I-ll try it for a bit...I'd love to reduce the belly fat. I'll let you know if I see any results!
Thanks again,
CinDee
