I have found Smart Balance to be the closest thing to "real butter" out there but it's better for you than real butter. They offer it in "light" but that is more like all of the other margarin or light butter products that don't melt like real butter.
Well personally I avoid all as much as possible. Butter is high in saturated fats, cholestral, but is natural. Then you go with margarines and you have different oils and various types of fats saturated, polyunsaturated etc.. and how hydrogenated they are. http://wd.1ww.us http://1ww.us/3.gif

mmmmm butter :9 I try to avoid all saturated fats but, and a big but-(no pun intended) If I really want a little butter I allow myself to have it. I have not found a substitute that I really enjoy.
Everything in moderation.
