Burn Sets

I know it's too soon to be dreaming about new workouts, because Cathe is busy with LMR2, but I would LOVE another burn sets. It wouldn't even have to be a series or anything. Cathe has produced such a variety of active recovery, legs, etc. to go along with it that I could build my own workouts. I just keep finding myself going back to Burn sets, and would love the variety that a Burn Sets 2 would provide. I have all of Cathe's strength workouts, and I enjoy them all, but there is something about Burn Sets that just keeps calling my name. lol
 
@Braille , great idea! It was Xtrain's Burn Sets' 3rd set to failure that really helped me to think about progressive overload regularly. Even more so than the original STS. And I was able to see greater strength gains faster using Burn Sets in the Xtrain 90-day Undulating Rotation than i noticed in OG STS. Another Burn Sets with maybe different exercises for the UB. I'd order on Day 1 of a Pre-Sale and not think twice. Hmmmm .... I wonder if there are any LIVE Burn Sets (I'll have to check - I'm updating my CL list for the sale). :)

ETA: There are 3 Live Burn Sets! One is for Legs!

Seriously? I'm going to put them on my wish list. Thank you for the info! :)
 
To those who've done the live versions, does she include "to failure" portions in the workouts (particularly legs)? It's hard to tell from the preview clips.

According to the description of the download the technique behind is not mentioned . cathe would have metioned. This workout last 35 minutes. I doubt there is any lifting to failure.

ETA : There is no leg segment in original Burnset from xtrain series. There is no lifting to failure for legs. Only high reps and CLB which is a heavy workout containing plyo. Not everyone cup of tea!!

It could be dangerous. I must admit I had not wondered why cathe didn't produce a failure for legs. I haven't not come across leg failure anywhere else
When I want a very intense leg workout I have two options plyo or triset legs STS 2.0. Pyramid original leg is also challenging. There is also triset leg from XTrain.
Well if you want super heavy pull out rack from STS 1.0.

ETA : There's no lifting for legs in BURNSET X-train because cathe knows her craft! The technique does not not apply to beginners. It is not safe for legs because it involves multiple joints. @Kellyro77

Yeah, her description in the legs workout didn't specify the failure aspect - and yes, I was curious about a failure aspect with legs because it's probably kinda dangerous. ;)
Excellent point! I'd always wondered about why we didn't work legs to the point of failure, but you're right... if my legs failed, I'd end up sprawled on the floor on my backside with my weights ending up who knows where. lol
