Building muscle while breastfeeding

Hi Cathe or anyone else who might know,
I am currently breastfeeding my 13 month old 4-5 times day and read somewhere that you cannot gain muscle while nursing. I am looking to lose 7-12 pounds and was not sure if I should do March fatloss or April strength due to this.Please let me know what you think either from expereience or research.

P.S. LOVE LOVE LOVE your workouts although those "BONUS BURNS" make me a little cranky :)
 
I breastfed my son till he just over 3 years and worked out during that time. I found that the weight loss really wasn't as easy as most make it out to be. but I did cardio and weightlifting and kept some great muscle shape. Still working on the fat part though :)
You can gain muscle, it is the fat on your body that helps in milk production. Sorry if this is a bit disjointed, haven't had morning caffeine yet. I would do whichever you want or both }(
