Buff Badgers Week of May 21st

No workout yesterday as I expected but the good news is. . . . I'm done with concerts for the year! :D Don't get me wrong - I enjoy them very much but does a concert really need to be 2 hours long on a school night?! DD is exhausted as well. No workout this morning. I plan to do STS Disc 8 tonight. Achilles is feeling fine so I should be all rested up for cardio tomorrow.

Brenda - That's quite a variety in your garden! Do you can or freeze it as well? That's a lot of work. I remember helping my mom when I was younger. I have that Amy kickbox workout as well and it's a good one. Did you see she has 2 new workouts? Hip-Hop Walk and Drop Sets.

Sam - Take care of that shoulder. Hopefully it's not injured and just needs some rest. I like the 3 day on, 1 day off schedule. I'm always amazed when I see people doing 6 days of intense workouts in a row before a rest day. I used to do that but I don't know if it's age, fitness level, being overweight, or what - but I can't do that any more.

Susan - I would think you'd need a gym to train for Cross-Fit because of all the special equipment, a trainer to help advise you on form and hopefully a spotter as well. It's not something I'm interested in other than as a spectator. Enjoy your time up north! I'm on call this weekend (well, I'm always on call but I'm on call X 2 this weekend) so if we go anywhere it can't be very far away or more than a night. DH wants to do Elroy-Sparta bike trail.

Laurie - I definitely feel like a wimp watching Cross-Fit but I can't dance either and my favorite dancing show "So You Think You Can Dance" starts tonight! Yes, the end of the year is ridiculously crazy. I think I'm over the hump though.

Heartymax - My kids used to do softball and baseball and its a lot of games and practice. You get burned out so hoping for rain is definitely something I used to do!

Morning Ladies,

Wasn't able to get in the yoga workout last night, was having a case of the crabbies! I think Susan was the one that tagged that term. ;) This morning was 10lb Slimdown Xtreme Total Body, and after work will be No More Trouble Zones.

Youngest dd will not be going to state as an alternate, the 4x400 runners came in 4th, so they didn't qualify. :( She was a bit bummed, but there is always next year.

Brenda, Very nice that you can get outside for your lunch. Always enjoy that good sore feeling. ;) I love the Bob Harper Yoga, I know that he as at least two workouts. Yoga for the Warrior, and Biggest Loser Yoga. I don't have the Biggest Loser one, but I have heard that it is a good one. I never was into yoga until I did P90X, and then I was hooked. Now Susan likes pilates better than yoga, so it just depends on the person I think.

Sue, Those long concerts are tough, seems the best parts are always the ones that your kids are in though. :D Glad to hear that your achilles is feeling better. I really need to start looking into new cross trainers, I am starting to feel some foot pain. ;)

Have a great day!

Good morning! I don't have much to report. No workout yet today. I'll get some quick cardio in during DS's nap later. My shoulder was feeling better, but then I reached for my seatbelt and something "clicked" and now it hurts again :(

I'm very excited about the weekend! I'm going to Ikea and the Pleasant Prairie Outlets with my mom and SIL tomorrow. DH is staying home with DS and making sure he gets some grandma time with my MIL. Yay! Shopping!!!! I plan to get my yard fixed up with the rest of the long weekend.

Happy Friday, and have a great weekend, everyone! (Stay cool, the high on Sunday is 93!)

Hi ladies! This morning was total body strength training. Pretty much all packed and ready to go. Now just to get through 8 hours of work!

Our cabin is in Rice Lake which is about 4 hours from here. A long drive but I plan on napping anyway!

Laurie, glad you got over your "crabbies"! You are correct one tends to either fit into yoga or pilates. I have not tried "yogalates" yet though...

Hope you all get a chance to relax and enjoy the weekend. Sam, have fun shoppng and sprucing up your yard!

See you all next week! Susan

Happy Friday!!!

Yeah... the weekend is here and a long one!!.

This morning was STS Meso 1 Disc 5 Back and Triceps. We'll see how sore I am tomorrow. Love it though. My legs are still recovering from Weds.

Sue - 2 hours for a concert on a school night... wow... the kids are probably all tired today. Glad the achilles is feeling better. I freeze some of my veggies, give some to my family and my friends at No No's. I always make sure I have enough frozen to last me a while. Last year I had more zucchini than I knew what to do with and I had frozen quite a bit too. I didn't know Amy came out with some new workouts. I'll have to check them out.

Laurie - I have Bob Harper's Biggest Loser Yoga. Hopefully one of these years I can get myself doing more yoga. Sorry to hear dd didn't qualify for state, what a bummer.

Sam - Have a blast shopping and take care of that shoulder.

Susan - Have a safe trip to Rice Lake and enjoy yourself!

I'm sure I won't be on at all this weekend, with all that's going on.

Everyone haev a fantastic and safe holiday weekend!!

Take Care!
Brenda
