Buff Badgers Week of July 14th

Cathlete
Saturday I did KPC without the crunch part. ;) Sunday was my no workout day. This morning I did Burn Sets chest, back, and shoulders and did core1. Strength was pretty good this morning.

I had a very nice birthday. We had a couples massage which was great and then dinner with friends and that was fun. Sunday was my parents anniversary and majority of the family went over by them for supper and us kids and grandkids brought all the food so my mom didn't have to do anything.

Had some exciting things happen Friday night and Saturday with my business. I meet with the Director of Marketing at Karen's Energy (health store) and she asked me to put together a presentation as to why people want a person trainer and why they would want me as their PT. She's helping me promote my business. Then I ran into one of my cousins that works for the local police dept and we got to talking and she's going to give my card to the captain. She said that they usually have someone come in and work with the force to keep them in shape. I told I was absolutely interested in talking with him to see what he's looking for. That was kind of exciting.

Hope you had a great weekend!
Brenda

Oh Brenda what great news for your business. You had a fantastic weekend all around.

Saturday was the step portion of Intensity followed by elliptical cardio. Sunday was lower body blast. DH just left to run but I told him that my body needed a rest day. He was out of town this weekend so he didn't workout.

This morning was STS Total Body. I skipped the core because I had to take my son to football weight training.

Good Morning!

This morning I was deciding between Intensity or all 5 levels of Tabatacise and since Tabatacise was shorter in time. I didn't have to take too many extra breaks so that was good.

Today's workout was a killer. I did the extreme premix of Cardio Fusion---73 minutes. Oh my, I wasn't sure I was gonna make it past 45 minutes but I modified and hung in there with more breaks. It was tough.

Way to go Hearty on the workout. That is a tough one. You made it through!!!

This morning I did Burn Sets Bi's & Tri's and core 1. Did pretty good. On the first two bi exercises on the TF set I dropped down to 17 lbs instead of trying to do it at 20. Getting 10 reps out at 20 lbs was tough.

I usually can't do total failure with 20 either. Sometimes I drop to 17 on 2nd set. I only seem to be 20 pounds strong when I'm doing STS.

We are leaving Friday to go to GA to visit my family. The trip is shorter than we would like because we have to be back in time for my oldest to go to varsity football camp.

Double workout today. Xtrain Bi's and Tri's and Hiit 40/20. I just felt like I needed some cardio after I finished.

Hi Hearty - 40/20.... that is a tough workout, at least I think it is. Have a safe trip to GA and enjoy yourself.

This morning I did double Hardstrikes (cardio only). I went a little to hard with my punches (due to all the stress at work, which has been much worse than normal) and got a knot in my right delt area. It's sore so I keep trying to stretch it out and massage it. Thankfully I can reach the spot that is really tender.

Isn't it great Brenda to have a healthy to relieve stress from work. So glad Hardstrike punches did the job. Yes, 40/20 is really tough for me too. I actually make it more of a 30/30 workout even though it's 40/20. :D

We leave later today so I wanted to make sure I got my workout in. I did 35 minutes of Bootcamp Horizontal Conditioning followed by a 30 minute premix of Party Rockin' Step 2. That combo 4 is tricky at the end. One day I will get it.

Enjoy your weekend Brenda. I won't say that I will be working out while I am away even though I would love for DH and I to get up and run or walk in the mornings but I am not sure if I can convince of him that.

This morning I did Lean legs and abs and I added a little extra inner thigh work at the end. I need to build up more strength in that area. I do like that workout though.

Hearty - I have done any HC workouts for a long long time. Nor have I even previewed either of the Party Rockin workouts. One of these days I will. I typically only to step on real good days. An RN that I know had mentioned to me about a different type of hip replacement surgery that they actually do as an outpatient. They don't dislocate the hip, or tear the muscles, tendons, or ligaments like they do in normal hip replacement surgery. The doc is located in Chicago. So I'm seriously thinking about making and apt and doing a road trip and meet with the doc. That I would have an easier time doing. I need to talk to DH about it. He's been after me about it and would like me to get it done because he see's how hard it is for me to walk majority of the time and how frustrated I get. We'll see.

Have a safe trip and a wonderful weekend!

Thanks Brenda. Sorry to hear that you are dealing with pain. My former coworker had hip replacement surgery last summer at 65 and she is doing well. Her doctor came highly recommended and she was pleased. Glad that you have some one that is highly recognized.
