It was a very cold weekend. Saturday was HC and AOLH. Sunday was my rest day. This morning I finished Xtrain chest back and shoulders and most of core 1. I don't feel comfortable using heavy weights on the ball so I used my bench most of the time.

I return to work today. I squeezed in a little closet organizing last night before bed. Not alot, but enough for now.

Sunday the really cold weather hit us and today is beyond freezing. My office area that I work in is cold as well. I have three layers on plus my scarf around my neck. I even resorted to putting my gloves on for a while so my hands could warm up some.

Saturday I did X10 Low Impact, Hi/Lo, and Cardio Blast. Had a pretty good workout. Sunday was my rest day. This morning I did Supercuts Extreme premix.

Took my Christmas tree down this weekend. It's nice to have our front room back to normal. I took the Christmas decorations down but left up the wintery decorations.

Does anyone have a NuWave oven? I'm considering getting one but wondering if it's as good as I'm reading.

I have a Nu Wave and love it. Several members of my family own one too. My boys can use it. I can cook sausage, bacon, hash browns for breakfast while im getting dressed. It is used almost daily in our house. I used it to cook whole chicken. I can also flour chicken wings and they will look like fried chicken and taste good. Great investment for our home.
 
Good morning. No workout for me yesterday and none over the weekend either. I'm in a place right now where if I'm dreading my workout AT ALL, it's not going to happen. So... I decided today to do whatever I feel like each day, which seems, for the most part, to be gentler, lower intensity stuff.

I think I also learned a lesson from my two weeks off. When I was eating about the same amount (though lower quality) and not working out I actually got a bit smaller. I was also much less hungry. So, it's possible I was stressing my body out and needed a little break from the high intensity stuff anyway.

So, today was Jessica Smith Cardio Ballet. It felt great and I actually got a decent sweat.

Heartymax- Thanks for the info about the NuWave! Now I want one!

Brenda- I hear you on the cold. DS was supposed to have his first day back at school today, but it was canceled. I know I'd feel differently if I had to be out in it, but I don't really mind the cold much, and I'm actually enjoying an excuse to hole up and putter around the house :) Plus, at least it's been sunny. I can't stand the gloom.

Good Afternoon!

This morning I did Hardstrikes and one of the punching tabatas followed by part of the warm-up and floor cardio from Cardio Leg Blast. Doing the punching tabatas from Hardstrikes makes me really want a punching bag.

Hearty - Thanks so much for the info on the NuWave oven. You probably just talked me into getting one. :)

Sam -Nothing wrong with taking a break and changing things up when you need to. I can honestly say that all the years I've been working out, I've never gotten to a point that I dreading having to workout. Glad your finding something that is working for you.

Good news today.. here I thought I lost my client that I was supposed to start training with after the first of the year and I got a text from him today apologizing that he dropped the ball, never got my emails, and he's still interested as well as his wife. I'm super excited. My area in the basement is not done yet. DH said about 3 weeks. I'm still going to get going with my new clients, I'll just start with them at their home or the business. I was thrilled when I got his text.

It was so freaking cold yesterday. I was up late Monday watching the football game and assumed school would be delayed or closed Tuesday. Oh was I wrong-----anyway, got up just in time for work. Wanted to get a great workout today. I did the core of HC followed by Super Cuts. What was I thinking? ?? My core was screaming.

Brenda and Sam----didn't mean to be an enabler and try to convince you of the Nu Wave but I do love mine. I know people buy so many gadgets thay never get used.
 
Good Morning!

This morning I had intentions of doing Afterburn but I felt like I got hit by a truck when I woke up so I did Travel Fit and doubled the cardio sections in it.

Hearty - The NuWave has peaked my interest for a long time. I'm finally seriously considering it. Do you make your vegetables on there?

Brenda I have not used it for veggies. I have baked sweet potatoes during summer to keep from turning on the oven.

This morning I did my Thurs thing lately which is AOLIH and Stretch Max.

Temp is gradually getting warmer. It was 23 when I stepped out to warm my car up for a while.

Hearty - thanks for the info. I bake sweet potatoes quite often so that's good to know.

Hello!

Yesterday I did another Jessica Smith... her 30 minute "Power Walk" on You Tube. Felt nice and energized after. No workout yet today. I slept too late, but I might try to squeeze something in a bit later. I'm feeling like something yoga-ish.

Heartymax- No worries. My kitchen is too tiny for a NuWave anyway :D But you can bet I'll keep it in the back of my mind. I have a very long list of kitchen gadgets I want....:eek:

Brenda- It's been a long time since I've dreaded working out... not since my pre-video days when I was very overweight. I can tell I'm doing the right thing for now, though. I'm not as hungry as I was and I have a lot more energy in the afternoons. I do miss my NROLW workouts a bit. I think I might bring them back, but only twice per week instead of three times, or I might even seriously try yoga again. Either way, I can't let my muscles turn to mush :) Oh, and good news about your clients! You must be so excited! If you didn't live so far away I'd have you train me :D

Today was Xtrain Biceps and Triceps. Freezing rsin so unexpected school closing. It was a tough week coming off a 2 week break. I have been so tired so I am going to enjoy the day.

This morning I was in the mood for Flex Train. Had a good workout.

I'm glad the week is over with. It was my first full week back to work after not working a full week in 3 weeks.

Sam - I know you won't let your muscles turn to mush.. you've worked so hard and accomplished so much. I was trying to figure out a good way to train people from a distance. Haven't came up with anything that jumps out at me and says "this would really work". If you have any ideas, I'm wide open for them.

Hearty - Enjoy you day off. I'm hoping we don't get too much of that freezing rain. I'd rather deal with snow than freezing rain.

Happy Friday! I did Jessica Smith's Ballet Body Sculpt on YouTube. Once again, it was just what I needed. I was in a really foul mood, and now I feel much better.

I'd write more, but I've got a ton of stuff to do today and I'm running way behind. I hope everyone has a great weekend! Ours looks like it's going to be fun, but very busy.
