Hi Ladies!
I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and New Years and that everyone had a happy and safe one.
Last I reported I was dealing with kidney stone issues... thankfully the one that was creating problems passed but I still have 5 others hanging out. I found an herbal remedy online that is supposed to cleanse the kidney, gallbladder, and liver. It's supposed to dissolve all types of kidney stones. I started that yesterday. I hope it works and dissolves the other ones so they don't create issues down the road. It could take a long time for them to ever move.
Last week I started doing a 1 mile walk with Leslie Sansone and I did BS Chest, Back, Shoulders one day and a different day I did BS bi's & tri's. It felt great to lift some weights and thankfully I didn't lose too much upper body strength. For legs I need to stick with what I was given from physical therapy. I've been doing front, side, and back leg extensions with the pink resistance band. I do squats (started adding weight last week, only 10 lbs but better than nothing). Also do walking lunges and slow and controlled step ups focusing on my left leg.
Today I did a 2 mile walk with Leslie Sansone and my leg exercises and stretches. Even broke a little bit of a sweat.. felt great. I'm going to gradually build on the walk and at some point in time I'm going to try the elliptical and see how that goes. I want to feel more comfortable with the walks. Wanted to get myself back into some kind of routine after the first of the year so this is my start.
Anyone have any good New Year's resolutions? A few of mine are to get my strength & flexibility back in my left hip, after my Feb follow up appt. (if all goes well), I'm going to start promoting more on the business side of things. One other one is to hold a Barnyard Bootcamp event to promote Fit4You. If anyone has any experience doing anything like this that they would like to share, please do so. I know I'm in over my head but I'm up for the challenge.
Here's to a better 2015.
Brenda
