Good Morning. Wow----It's April already. I didn't feel well last week and took a rest. We traveled to Ga to visit our family for spring break. We got here Sunday. I had dinner with my mom at her sister's house and DH and boys had dinner with his family.

I found a few full workouts of Jillian on You Tube so I have my week planned out. Today was 6 week 6 pack. It was nice to have more than clips so I can get a workout in without traveling with equipment. I was also able to do this in the bedroom because not that much space is needed. I also did Cathe's Ab Circuit workout first. I really need to watch my eating this week.
 
Morning Ladies,

No this is not an April Fools joke. :D This year has been so busy for me at work, it has been really difficult to get on line. When I get home I'm usually to exhausted to do much of anything. I did a Jillian workout on Saturday. I thought the first phase of her Body Revolution would be easy enough for me to start with. I did the first workout, and did really well. Didn't do anything yesterday, because we where with the family almost all day. Today will be Workout 2 when I get home.

Heartymax, It seems like we just celebrated Christmas, and then BAM the first quarter of the year is over with. :eek: I'm hoping that this summer will not go to fast, I really want to enjoy our summer. That is one thing that I love about Jillians workouts, she doesn't use a lot of space. Perfect for the amount of space I have.

HI there. Yes. I am back in action. This winter and work and life.. ugh. But I am finally feeling better and ready to get back to it. I start my own Summer Slim Down today. Starting with Cathe's Cross Fire and Pilates lower body.

My main thing is clean eating... must do better...

Easter was nice. We went and saw some of my family. We don't get together often enough, so it was wonderful to see them all.

Laurie, this first few months of the year, went by way too fast. And it was too cold and dreary.. lets hope this 1st day of April is a start of sunnier days ahead.

Heartymax, smart idea to go online for workouts! Have fun on your vacation!

Good morning! It's so good to see everyone back :) No workouts for me since Thursday. Everything got very busy in preparation for Easter. I hosted dinner, which is usually my mom's territory. It was great having my little house full of people!

I don't know what I doing yet today for a workout, but rest assured, I will work out. I had way too much salt and sugar yesterday and can't wait to get rid of that bloated feeling.

I too, am hopeful for a sunny spring for my and DH's family. We've had a lot of sickness and sadness, and I know there's more to come, but when spring is blooming, it helps us feel hopeful.

Heartymax- How's the weather down there? I bet it's spring where you are :)

Laurie- I've heard good things about Body Revolution. It's good you found something to get you back into a routine.

Susan- So nice to see you back! I'm trying to shed some weight for summer myself. It's going very slowly. Eating is my weak spot as well.

I preordered Cathe's new videos last night, the package without the spinning one. Although the name "Pedal Power" is so cute I almost wish I had a spin bike ;)

Happy 1st Day of April!!

Our Easter was pretty quiet. We had dinner with DH's dad, my parents, and nephew at a restaurant and that was it.

Saturday's workout was SuperCuts and I added on the Cardio Circuit Blast from CF. Sunday was rest and this morning I changed things ups and did BM2 Step Portion (no blasts) and followed that with 4DS Chest and Back. I wasn't sure how I was going to do with all step (because of my hip) but I did better than I expected. I had to be careful with some of the moves. I love the step portion in BM2 and I was missing doing step.

Heartymax - Glad you found good workouts to do without having to take a bunch of equipment and that you can do in smaller spaces. Enjoy your time in GA.

Laurie - I'll be anxious to hear you feedback on Body Revolution. I was wondering about it. I know what you mean about work being so crazy. It's been too crazy by me for way too long. I think if I didn't make a point of going on the forum during my lunchtime, I'd probably hardly ever be on. After being a computer all day, that's the last thing I want to do when I get home.

Susan - Welcome back!! Nice workouts to start out with. Love CrossFire!

Sam - I ordered the new Cathe workouts on Saturday. I did the 6 bundle. With her spinning DVD's kind of makes me want to get a bike.

Susan---glad things are slowing down a bit.

Laurie-- one of my colleagues is doing 90 day revolution. She uses the recipes and is doing a good job.

Sam-- it has been sunny and mid 70's. Supposed to be nice all week:).

This morning was Jillian's BFBM workout. Someone in my other check in recommended it and it was a good workout. Glad I found some full body workouts on You Tube. This can actually be fun. Trying something new. Let me know if you have any recommendations. I have plenty of time to preview the workouts to see if I will like it. Needs no equipment and little space.
 
Good morning. Yesterday I did rounds 1-6 of Cardio Leg Blast with Burn Sets Bis.

I'm having a bit of exercise paralysis this morning and can't decide what to do. I'll figure it out :p

Heartymax- I wish that weather would get here soon. I'm trying to be patient, but it seems to be taking forever!

Brenda- It's been a long time since you've done step, hasn't it? I bet it was fun to get back to it.

Morning Ladies,

Got in Workout 2 of Jillian's Body Revolution. I find that I can lift heavier with these workouts than other workouts of hers. She goes at a better pace. ;)

Susan, Glad to see you back in action. ;) I have been sidelined by some issues, but hoping to get back on track again. The eating part is the toughest.

Sam, Hosting those parties can get pretty hectic. I know what you mean about the sickness, my dh is still coughing. Sounds horrible! I'm hoping that getting in the dryer air of Vegas will help him. He leaves this week.

Brenda, That is the way I am some days, don't even want to look at a computer when I get home. :D Right now these workouts in Phase 1 are all low impact, but I think it is a good place for me to start. It may be to easy for someone that has really good endurance.

heartymax, I have not looked at the recipes. I usually have a hard time keeping to that, since my family usually doesn't like those meals. :eek: If you like kickboxing Chris Freytag has a good one. Also look at some of the Jessica Smith ones. She has a hiit workout.

Good Afternoon!!

This morning I did Hardstrikes with 4DS shoulders, calves, and core. The LIS that normally is part of that workout is fun but I wanted something that was going to get my heart rate a little higher than that.

Heartymax - I'll have to check out some of Jillian's workouts once and see if maybe someday I'll want to purchase.

Sam - I love Cardio Leg Blast. Yes, it's been a long time since I've done a step workout. I do the little bit in Cardio leg blast and tabata, but not all step. It was fun.. I would like to see if I can gradually bring some more of it back into my workouts. I'll have to feel it out and see how it goes.

Laurie - Jillian is in Milwaukee at the Riverside on May 5 (I think that was the day). Kind of wouldn't mind seeing her. I might check out to see how much the tickets are. Then my other is finding someone to go along with me. I don't like driving in Milwaukee. I'm a country gal and like my country roads. :)

Hi ladies! Sorry for the late post, had to take my van in this morning. My workout was Supreme 90 Total Body. This month I am doing a mix of S90, Cathe and P90X.

Brenda, I am with you on not driving in Milwaukee. I actually would prefer to drive in Chicago!:p I am a nervous wreck in Milwaukee...

Laurie, did you just get her new workouts? I am interested in seeing how things progress for you!:)

Brenda--I'm not a fan of JM but it is serving the purpose this week. I do like her Ab work.

I did JM Cardio Kickboxing this morning and it was not intense at all. I had to add level 3 Shred to feel like I had worked out.

My eating has not been bad this week so I hope I can hang in there. Things are always quiet at my Mom's house. No kids around so my boys spend all their time at my brother in laws cause they have kids and can hang out and play ball and have good ole fun.
 
Morning Ladies,

I did JMBR Cardio 1, and I must say this was a good workout. She did eight different exercises, and then repeated it two more times for a total of three. This is one that you can make a lot thougher by just doing the move a little differently. I loved Jillian in this workout also, she seemed to be having a lot of fun. ;)

Brenda, I had heard that she was going to be in the Milwaukee area. I too hate going downtown, I have to know exactly where I'm going before I attempt the trip. :eek: Nice workouts!

Susan, Sounds like a very interesting rotation you have going there. ;) I did purchase her new Body Revolution, I just can't stay away from Jillian. ;)

heartymax, That workout is not one of my favorites of hers. She was way to giggly in that one. :) Sounds like you are having a very relaxing week.

Good morning! Yesterday I did Hard Strikes and Burn Sets Triceps. This was only the second time I've done Hard Strikes. I liked it a lot better this time around, I think because I already knew about all the jumping jacks. The music is definitely fun.

When I do Burn Sets sections after cardio I can definitely NOT lift as heavy.

Laurie- It's always nice when the instructor seems to be having fun. That's one of the reasons I like the Intensity series. Cathe seems so happy in those.

Heartymax- Ah... enjoy your quiet time :)

Susan- That's a killer rotation!

Brenda- I agree, LIS is a lot of fun, but not that intense, even for me :p

I used to be nervous about driving around downtown, too. I would just sort of feel my way around. When I sang with the symphony chorus I got really used to it from always having to find a parking space for rehearsals, and then we started going to church downtown. So... I'm an old pro now ;) I'd much rather drive around downtown Milwaukee than downtown Waukesha. I lived there my entire childhood and still have no idea where I'm going :p

Today is my Friday. I have vacation days the next two days. I have something very important going on and we'll see how it all pans out after Friday and then I'll update you on what it was all about. :) Is that mean of me? Do I have your curiosity? ;)

Susan - I checked out the cost of the tickets to see JM and I don't think so.... out of my price range.

Heartmax - It seems like you're enjoying your week. Take advantage of the quiet time when you can. :)

Laurie - Glad you enjoy Jillian's workouts.

Sam - They say when doing weights and cardio in the same workout, do whichever one you want to perform the best at first. It doesn't surprise me that your not as strong with your weights after cardio. Did you ever take a picture of your new hair cut & color?

Almost forgot to tell you about my workout this morning. I went with one I love but haven't done in a super long time.....Intensity. There's not too much pivoting in that workout so my hip handled it pretty well. Man did that kick my butt though. Enjoyed every minute of it. :D

Mon. I did HoCo Hardcore yr. 2 June and Burn Sets Tris. Tuesday I did Tonique Born to Move workout 2.1 and Burn Sets Bis and today I did Cathe's Xtrain Ride and Burn Sets Back.

I tried to post on Mon. but it didn't let me post two times after I wrote tons so I quick trying.

Brenda, I am curious what you have going on. It will give me something to look forward too. Have a good vacation. After you mentioned Intensity I looked up a clip and I think I will do it on my next cardio day unless the weather warms up enough to run. Still in the 30's here. Yuk!!!

Sam, I have to give Hardstrikes another try. I didn't care for it the first time. My husband was in the symphony choir when we lived down there 15 years ago.

Laurie, Jillian workouts burn quite a few calories. I have the revolution series also. I have only done the last few workouts in the series and just didn't like the music. lately I have just needed fun music and workouts. Glad you are on the mend, sounds like you have a great plan.

Heartymax glad you are enjoying your vacation. It is nice you have found some workouts you can use in a small area. I think the kickboxing workout is the only Jillian I don't have.

Susan, I have to get my Supreme 90 out again. I remember I liked the workouts. You get a lot done in a short amount of time. Glad things have slowed down for you and you have a great rotation it sounds like.

Morning Ladies,

I didn't workout yesterday, had a day with DH and no kid around. Youngest went to spend the night at her friends house, and then they are going to a track meet today. So DH and I went out to dinner, and then caught up on some tv while snuggling on the couch. Dr. called yesterday, and said that my blood levels have improved. :D I can really tell by the way I feel. ;)

Sam, LOL about Milwaukee vs. Waukesha. I can get around Waukesha better than Milw. :D Must be how my brain works, but most people complain about Wau. all the time. ;) WTG on the workout, glad that you are enjoying Hardstrikes.

Brenda, Yes of course you have us curious! :eek: Enjoy your vacation, today is my Friday. I decided to take tomorrow off since youngest and I have dentist appointments.

Karen, I'm waiting for this weather to get better. Sure would be nice not to have to bundle up all the time. WTG on those workouts. I hardly ever pay attention to the music in workouts, but can understand when you need that. I noticed the music more in the Combat workouts, and they where really fun.

Susan, That bear crawl is tough. I like the way Jillian does the bear crawl in Ripped in 30 better. ;)

Good morning! I got a great workout in yesterday. I did To The Max up through the Hiit 30/20 and then did Burn Sets Shoulders.

I had some drinks with a friend last night and I'm feeling lazy this morning. Not sure what I'll do later. Maybe some legs with no cardio.

Brenda- You definitely have my curiosity! I have taken pictures of my hair, but haven't gotten around to getting them from my phone to the computer yet. Gotta get to that. My avatar picture is very old :) I need to acquire Intensity. That's the next on my list of single Cathe videos to buy.

Karen- Really? I miss singing with them sometimes, but did not like being away from my family all week before performances. Also, a lot of women in the chorus took it way too seriously :rolleyes: Still, I might go back to it someday.

Laurie- I can usually get where I need to be in Waukesha, but only after driving around aimlessly for awhile :) I went to gradeschool right by the river, so that's okay, but once you get where all the streets converge by where the gazebo used to be, I'm better on foot :D

I had a bunch of stuffed typed up to post and the computer did something stupid and I lost everything.

This morning was 4DS Kickbox and legs.

I was able to be a part of presale tickets to go see Luke Bryan at Summerfest on July 3rd so I got DH and I tickets. How exciting!! :D

Karen - I think you should give Hardstrikes another try. I really like it but I don't mind the jumping jacks and I love all the punching plus the music is fun.

Laurie - Nothing better than spending quality time with our hubbies. :) Enjoy your day off tomorrow.

Sam - Great job on the workout. I've only done TMM a couple of times. Hasn't fit into my rotations lately. Check out Intensity... it's a great workout. If you like Tabata I think you'll like this one.
