Buff Badgers Week April 22

This morning was STS Back and Triceps disc 5. I should be on disc 7 but I am not stressing. I decided that I would just move along with the program this time at my own pace as long as I get through it. There are days I choose cardio and delay the strength training. I have an evening event at work tonight so it will be a very long day.
 
Good Afternoon!

Saturday I did HoCo Bootcamp, still didn't make it all the way through. I think I skipped the last two combo's. My abs and inner thighs (from the disc work) were sore yesterday. Abs are still feeling it today. This morning I did Disc 4 from Meso 1, Chest, Shoulders, and biceps. Had a pretty good workout. Fairly good strength.

Got some bad news over the weekend....found out my oldest sister has Stage 4 Melanoma. She goes to the oncologist this afternoon so we'll be waiting to hear more.

Hi ladies! Saturday was Body Max 2, only the second time I've done the whole thing. No workout Sunday and probably no workout today. I'm helping my mom clean out my aunt's apartment all day, and have a "Walk for Boston" (a very short walk) this evening.

We had DS's birthday celebration last night. He had a great time but was crabby and birthdayed out by the end. I will fully admit to enjoying some cake. I will probably have more, actually :D

Hi Heartymax. You're right... don't stress about your rotation. Just do what you can when you're able.

Sat. I did Peak Fit Strength 1 and Sun. I did Ride. Today I did Kettlebell workout of Lauren's with the suspension trainer along with it.

Sam, nice job on BM2. One of my all time favorites. Glad you had a good time at your DS birthday. What kind of cake.

Brenda, sorry about your sister, I hope they can get it all at one time. Nice job on the HoCo bootcamp. I need to put that one in again soon.

Hey ladies! Went out of town over the weekend for my friends, fathers funeral. Came back late Saturday, did not workout and I have been sick both Sunday and today. Drinking some herbal tea and heading to bed. Hoping to wake up feeling better. Hate not working out.Thinking about heading back out running, but I need new running shoes first!

This morning was Afterburn. I was wiped out at the end so my sliding plank push ups turned out to be sliding holding planks:D.

This morning I did All Out Low Impact HiiT and the step cardio from Athletic Training.

Got a text message yesterday from my sister and they have more tests they plan on doing and she said it sounds hopeful that it didn't spread too far. Not sure when she goes back in and what their plan is. Wish she would have given us more details. Guess we'll have to hang tight.

Sam - Love, love BM2. Haven't done that one in its entirety in a long time. I love the step portion of that one. I bet DS was wiped out by the end of the day. How was the "walk for Boston"?

Karen - Someday I would like to try a kettlebell workout. How easy can you modify if you don't have kettlebells?

Susan - Glad you're feeling better. I always liked Cathe's Bootcamp workout. I like the variety and that hour seems to go by pretty quick. Gotta love those Terminators. :D

Heartymax - You go girl for tackling Afterburn after having such a long day yesterday. Those sliding plank push ups at the end are tough.

Hi, today I did Peak 10 Interval 1 and used my mini trampoline for the high iimpact moves.

Brenda, it is good they don't think it has spread. My mom had it on her nose and it spread to under her eye. They got it out but her face was swollen for a while. Cathe actually has some kettlebell type moves in a lot of her circuit workouts so it is easy to sub them in but a kettlebell feels a bit different.

Susan, nice job doing Bootcamp after coming off a sickness.

Just finished disc 6 legs. Youngest son had a baseball game yesterday and it was so cold out there. I need the temps to warm back up.
 
Morning Ladies,

Finally somewhat caught up from last weeks Lean event. Those things really get me tired. I got home and didn't do anything. :( This week has been much better, I restarted up Jillian's Body Revolution, so I have done Workout 1 yesterday and Workout 2 this morning.

Heartymax, Totally agree with you on the temps! We where at a track meet on Saturday, and there was still snow on the track! ;) I was warm enough, because I had all my winter wear on. I just can't imagine how cold the girls where running on the track though. WTG on the workouts!

Brenda, So sorry to hear about your sister, but I hope that her news is really good. I'm looking forward to the warm temps also, need to get outside and pick up the winter debris. ;)

Karen, I used the band from the Peak system for Jillian's workout this morning. That one really has some good resistance, so I think it was much better than any other band that I own.

Susan, Glad to hear that you are feeling better. What a workout to do after you have been sick. :eek:

Good Afternoon!

This morning was Disc 5 Back and Triceps. This week went better than last week with back & triceps.

Found out this morning that my sister has an appt with the dermatologist today, MRI tomorrow, and PET Scan on Friday. Then should be able to tell if it's localized or not and plan a course of action whether its surgery and/or treatment.

Karen - How scarey for your mom. Glad they got it all though. Stuff like that is always in the back of your mind but when it affects someone you know it just seems to punch you right in the gut.

Heartymax - Brrrr... that couldn't have been do fun for the kids to be playing in the cold/wet weather.

Laurie - I have lots of outside work I need to do once the temps warm up and things dry out. I have rabbits that decided to leave all there droppings amongst my landscape rocks by our shed and eat some of my shrubs. They are cute but they need to leave my plants alone.

Hi, today I did a Bosu workout and HoCo Hardcore Feb. yr. 1.

Brenda, hope your sisters is localized. Glad your workout was better this week than last.

Laurie, glad you got caught up with everything. I like the band in Peak 10 too. I did her dynamic stretch today. I really am liking dynamic stretching compared to static. I am sure I need both. Is your DD running track in college?

I need spring. No more snow and wind. It should be interesting up here for opening ice fishing, the people won't be out on boats but will be using tip ups.

I'm taking a rest week, not necessarily by choice :confused:. My aunt, whose apartment I'm helping to move, is mentally ill, and... well... her apartment is indicative of her mental illness. It's taking a ton of time, which is fine, my poor mother needs all the help she can get. But, when I'm home I just want to relax and try not to think about it :).

Brenda- We were posting at the same time on Monday. I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. I hope that she gets good news and all the bad stuff is localized. How I hate cancer.

Karen and Heartymax- I'm with you. I WANT SPRING! Our weekend is supposed to be fairly decent, and I think I saw that next Tuesday we were supposed to actually hit the mid 70's.

Laurie- I'm with you this week on coming home and not doing anything, well, except drinking wine :) It's okay. We all have off weeks. I'm glad you're feeling caught up and back on track.

The walk/run for Boston was uplifting. My brother is a manager at the running store that hosted it and he sang the national anthem. I cried :rolleyes:

Have a good second half of the week everyone. I hope to be back into it on Friday or Saturday.
 
Hello! I overslept this morning so I am heading down now to do MMA Kickbox.

Laurie, glad things are almost back to normal for you. Busy weeks can be so exhausting and the weekends seem to fly right by!

Karen, I will have to let my DH know there is still ice up there. We were just talking about when the pier should go in for the in-laws cabin! ;)

Brenda a friend of mine at work was just diagnosed (3 weeks ago) by a small lump on her leg. Well they did surgery, and removed it all. Did not get into lymph nodes. She'll have a very long scar all the way down her thigh, but at least she's okay. Prayers for your sister.

Okay, I better stop typing and get to Punchin'! See you tomorrow!

Hello,

This morning I decided to do Hardstrikes and then I followed that with 3 rounds from Cardio Core Circuit. Don't know what I was thinking when I decided to go with CCC. :) About 1/2 way through my workout I got a piece of fuzz in my eye (and I wear contacts) so I was crying out of one eye and it made for an interesting remainder of a workout. Man that smarted.

Karen - How do you like your Bosu. I used to have one but hardly ever used it so I sold it a long time ago. Kind of wish I would have kept it.

Sam - Moving and cleaning is a workout in itself. That sounds physically and mentally tasking. It's nice of you to help your mom out with all of that. I'm looking forward to the warmer temps we're supposed to be getting. Yeah!!! :D

Susan - How horrible for your friend to have to go through that. Cancer is just nasty, nasty, nasty. Glad she's okay though. Hope you have fun with MMA Kickbox.

HI there. So, today I overslept again!:eek: So I was going to do Core Syn. when I got home from work but DH asked me to go for a walk instead. SO we walked for 40mn . I will do Core Syn. in the morning.

Brenda, that's work out you had! I had having anything in my eye and I don't even wear contacts! :D

This morning was legs and went with Cardio Leg Blast. Love that workout. Had a pretty good workout!

Susan - Yeah, that made for a fun workout having something in my eye. :)
