Today is the last day of school for the kids!!

This morning was Meso 2 Disc 16, Chest, Shoulders and Triceps.

I am going to try to adjust the STS schedule so I can get in week 2 and 3 before I go on vacation. Not sure it will work, but this is my plan.

M - Chest, Shoulders and Triceps
T - Legs and Cardio
W - Cardio
Th - Back and Biceps
F - Cardio
Sat Chest, Shoulders and Triceps
Sun - Legs and Cardio
Monday- Cardio
Tuesday Back and Biceps
Wednesday- leave for vacation to visit our family in Georgia.

I will be gone for 10 days so I really could benefit from getting in some extra cardio in the evenings. I usually don't have energy in the evenings so I won't even bother to commit to that:D. I will just see how it goes.

Morning Ladies,

Had a great weekend, sure didn't hurt that Saturday was so nice. ;) Got housework and laundry done on Saturday along with Kenpo+ from P90X+. Sunday was faire rehearsal, and my workout was Kristen McGee's Power Yoga. This morning was CTX Back & Triceps, and KPC Premix #2 Kicking and Punching.

heartymax, I think your rotation leading up to your vacation is very doable. You have made sure that you have two days on one day of cardio, perfect for getting all those weight workout done. ;)

Hi gang! My weekend was busy. Saturday I cleared out a big area in the basement we had full of old toys, etc. DH has been asking me to do this for a long time. We wanted the area clean so we can make it into a spare room. So as a surprise to my husband, I cleaned for 12 hours, took two full van loads to Goodwill, and it looks SO nice! He was very shocked when he got home from his trip to the cabin. DS was a bit worried when he saw all the toys gone but I showed him where he and my DD both have 1 bin each of "favorite" toys. Sunday I took a long walk.

So today I had to make-up my Kenpo. I did that at 5am and now I am heading down to do Chest/Shoulders/Tris/ABs. I am in week 7 of 12! I have lost 12 pounds so far!:)

Heartymax, I think that rotation will work well for you!

Laurie, are you just picking your workouts by the day or did you write up a new rotation?

Good morning! Well, right now it's raining like crazy... Didn't manage to get a workout in on Saturday. I had to get up at 4:30 to see my brother run his half-marathon (he came in third!), and by the time the beer lover's festival was over, I was whipped :) But, I had a nice day. Did Mix It Up! yesterday and had a heavy dinner with my dad. So, today is Tone It Up!, and because of the indulgent weekend, perhaps some cardio in the evening? Hmmm... we'll see.

Heartymax- your schedule looks good to me. Congrats on the last day of school!

Laurie- Sounds like you had a productive weekend. You're definitely getting a variety of workouts in. Power Yoga is the one yoga video I own. Every time I do it I tell myself I should do it more or get more yoga videos...

Well, back to work today. :( I really enjoyed my time off and got a lot done around the house. Saturday was S90 Shoulders & Arms plus walking around at Lakefront Festival at the Arts (LOTS of walking - DH doesn't like paying for parking so we find street parking and walk). Sunday was S90 Cardio Challenge and bussing tables for 2+ hours at a church pig roast. This morning was S90 Legs. DD has a softball game tonight if it doesn't get called off.

Heartymax - You're going to Georgia in June?! Are you nuts? ;) I say that because DH's sister lives in Marietta and we've been there in June. They don't call it "Hot-Lanta" for nothing! You probably already know this though. It'll be nice to see family. Hope you have fun.

Laurie - You sure come up with interesting rotations. And I mean that in a good way. :) Lots of variety and good use of your workout collection. I was wondering about Ren Faire and whether you were doing it this year. I'll pray for cooler weekends for you. ;) Cool and sunny though - not rainy.

Susan - I wish I could claim to have cleared out a big area like yours but I did attack DS' dresser and filled 2 bags of clothes for Goodwill. That'll be nice to have a spare room. Is it going to be a guest room or something else? Workout room perhaps? ;) You are doing awesome on P90X! I'm feeling about Supreme 90 right now how you are feeling about the X. It really seems to be working for me. The weight is coming off slowly but my middle feels tightened up.

Sam - 4:30 is way too early to get up on a Saturday but what a nice sister to go cheer on your brother! Congrats to him for coming in 3rd. He must be a really good runner. Do you have Leslie's 5 Fat Burning Miles? Each mile takes about 12 minutes and when I want a little extra cardio but don't have much time, this is my go to workout.

Sue, glad you are liking the S90 series. I want to make the room an exercise room, DH wants an office type. We'll have to see who wins!;)

This morning was STS Legs followed by CTX Kick Box for 30 minutes of cardio. I wasn't sure if I was going to make it but I did.

Susan-----WTG on getting that basement cleared! What an awesome surprise father's day gift for your hubby! Have fun decorating and organizing for your new room.

Laurie---I guess you would think my plan for the next week is doable since you do 2 workouts most days:D

Sam----You are having fun with your Mix it Up workout! You deserve an "indulgent" weekend every now and then.

Sue---yes, it is HOT in Georgia! We are not visiting a rural area ( near Florida) and my sons love hanging out with their family---plenty of space to run and enjoy the fresh air in the evenings. I hate the mosquitos!!!!
 
Morning Ladies,

Only had a chance to get in my weight workouts this morning with CTX Leaner (Meaner) Legs & Shoulders. :eek: I will get in KCM's 30 Minutes to Fitness Kickboxing workout #2 when I get home.

Funny thing on my morning walk with the dog. The newspaper delivery dude was going around the neighborhood, and I noticed that he had stopped. I see what I think are deer on the street, but they are not moving. Apparently some people (I'm guessing young) put our neighbors three deer lawn ornaments on the street, all in a row (male to fawn). :D The newspaper guy just drove around them. :D I just hope no one hits them with this fog. :confused:

Susan, Congrats on the weight loss! You are doing a great job. WTG on getting that area cleared up, sure do wish that my DH would get rid of stuff in our basement. I have been leaving hints, but so far he has not been motivated. ;) I actually do have a rotation all figured out. I'm following the Look Great in 8 rotation that was put out years ago by Muscle & Fitness/Hers. Enjoy your book.

Sam, Congrats to your brother, third place is wonderful. I think that Kristin's Power Yoga is my fav of the three that I have of hers. ;) I had an indulgent weekend also, so in the same boat. :D

Sue, You had a busy weekend, and of course got in all that walking. ;) Yes the Ren Faire has started again, and we are still involved. :D I was not enthused at first, but my spirits where lifted by one of the young ones on Sunday. Made me realize why I do this. ;)

heartymax, Well yes I guess I would think it is doable. :D Most of what I've been doing lately has been running about an hour. Well except for this morning. :eek:

Heartymax - Great workout! I think I'd be dragging a little bit, too, doing kickbox after a leg workout. ;)

Susan - Can the new room be a combo office/workout space so both of you get your way? That way if a pc is in there you can do downloads or make your own workouts with Workout Blender (I tried WB once and decided to leave premix creation to the experts). Just a thought - don't know how big your space is. I haven't done Plyo X in ages. I should pull that out one of these days.

Laurie - Funny prank with the deer but you're right about the fog. It was bad on my drive in with Menomonee Falls worse than Waukesha.

No workout yet today. Decided to "sleep in" (5:30 isn't really considered sleeping in, is it? :confused:) and workout tonight. Will do S90 Total Body. I'm leaving the house half an hour earlier for the next 6 weeks to drive DS and a friend to weights starting at 6:30. It makes my morning workout a little tougher because I have to get up that much sooner but I get to work earlier which works out well for summer hours (Mon-Thurs 9 hours and 4 hours on Fri).

I have my Biggest Loser Weigh In on Thursday. I'm down 8 pounds from where I started but don't think that's enough to win. It's good motivation though and I'm automatically entered in the next round which starts right after this one.
 
HI there! Today is Back/Bi's/ Ab Ripper and then the elliptical. DS saw my stomach yesterday after working out and he touched it and said "Good goin', Mommy". :D

Sue, that is a good idea, had not thought of it. He needs to put up a wall, and then I'll see how much actual space I have. To me, 5:30 is sleeping is as well. On the weekends that about as long as I get! Congrats on the 8 pounds! I bet you'll have even better results this next round! And S90 will help!

Laurie, yes, my Dh has some stuff to get out of the way as well. I thought if I did the major stuff, it would motivate him. He said "Well, now I just have to move that,and that and then I can put the wall up." Don't know when that and that are getting moved!:rolleyes: MEN! It's just a couple boxes but I know if I move them, he'll be grumpy....

Another gloomy day here. What is with this weather? It is summer, isn't it?

Susan---I see you beat me posting the last two mornings. Since school is out for the kids, I technically get to sleep in late too ---5:30;). What an awesome compliment from your DH! Great abs is a dream for most women.

Sue--congrats on the 8lb weight loss. Regardless if you win or not....you have been motivated by the challenge and you must feel great!

Laurie---I hate it when people play pranks that could result in someone getting hurt.

This morning was timesaver cardio blast from Low Impact Circuit. I love those Michael Jackson songs in the beginning and I was jumping and pumping and having a great time sweating!:D

Morning Ladies,

Got in the KCM Kickboxing workout last night. This morning I did the cardio only from 10 Days to a Better Body ~ Upper, and then S90 Core Dynamics. After work I will do CTX Chest & Biceps. Easier to do the weight work later in the day, so switched it up a little bit. ;)

Sue, Having to only work 4 hours on a Friday would be great. ;) It is nice that they let you do the 9 hours during the week, to get that time off. Congrats on the weight loss, keep up the good work.

Susan, LOL on your DS comment on your stomach, bet that really felt great. ;) I'm wondering when the summer will get her also. Those storms where sure fierce yesterday.

heartymax, Usually I don't notice music when I work out, but when I was doing the leg workout from Pure Strength, she had "She's got Legs" music from ZZ Top. Sure made the torture much easier. :D

Good morning! Crazy storms last night. I was out for drinks with a friend and the power went out in the bar! They had to close, so we had to leave earlier than planned.

I did Tear It Up! yesterday and it was one of "those" days. I felt terrible the whole 78 minutes. Since I didn't get in a workout on Sat. I hadn't taken a day off before that workout, which is recommended. I think it was a mix of that and the humidity in my basement. DS didn't nap well either. I'm keeping the AC on today. Just a stretch today.

Sue- I've been thinking of getting a Leslie or something more intermediate when I want to get some cardio in but don't feel like killing myself. I have her old Walk Away the Pounds set, but it's a bit too easy. Yes, my brother's an amazing runner - I'm a very proud big sister :D Congrats on the 8 pound loss!

Laurie- What a weird/dangerous prank to play in the fog. I hope no one got hurt. That fog was nuts. You do ren faire? I've only gone a couple times but I really like it! Sorry, I'm picking up on that a little late :)

Heartymax- That premix may be one of my all-time favorite workouts! The first combo always has me grinning. Now I kind of feel like doing it!

Susan- Hmmm... my DS still giggles over my jiggly tummy :rolleyes: It's okay, I just tell him it's his fault ;) Sounds like you're getting a lot done in your basement. I hope you and DH can find a good compromise.

Susan - After seeing your sculpted abs yesterday don't be surprised if your DH decides to start working out so he can look as good as you. ;) Maybe you're closer to getting that workout room than you think! LOL I heard the weekend is supposed to have nice weather -dry and not too hot.

Heartymax - Thanks - I do feel great! Sounds like you had a great workout this morning. I think we're the only ones who understand that exercise can be FUN!

Laurie - We both did Core Dynamics this morning. :) The 9 hour days are long but Friday afternoons off are worth it. With the kids' schedules, this is the first week this summer I've been able to take my summer hours. Hopefully I can do it again next week. Did those deer ever get moved?

Sam - 78 minutes! That's a LONG workout. I'd have trouble with that even after a rest day! Hope you find some fun indoor things to do.

Did S90 Core Dynamics this morning for the first time. I like that this workout doesn't repeat the exercises like most of the other S90 workouts do. Tonight I plan to do Cardio Challenge since I don't plan on eating or drinking before BL weigh in tomorrow morning shortly after I get to work. Wish me luck!
 
Well----there has been a change in my summer plans. I have decided to take a class that I need for professioal growth and to prepare me for some future opportunities. It starts next week----so I won't be traveling this summer to see my family. DH and boys will be going so I will have several days to myself:D...sorry, didn't mean to smile so big. Both of our families are there and the boys have been so excited about seeing their cousins. If I go, we would have to cut the trip very short and turn around and come back in a few days for me to get back to class. I didn't want to disappoint the boys so I am preparing for them to go without me which is not unusual. Often, they make a trip when I first return to work in August to allow me to work late and get a lot of things done to prepare for the new school year. It also allows me t get a lot of cleaning done around he house and get things organized at home for the new school year.

With that said, I don't have to rush my workouts and I can take a rest day today. My quads are SORE so I could use a break today. Even though, today was going to be biceps and back.....I don't feel like lifting any weights or stepping......I am sitting up in bed with my laptop.....just chilling.

Susan---when are you posting an updated abs photo??

Sue---can't wait to hear about your weigh in.

Sam---we've had some nasty storms here recently too...I enjoy the special time with my kids too even as they get older. My 9 year old and I played a game of scrabble yesterday after I got off work and it was fun. Sometimes we just play for fun and sometimes we keep score just to make sure he learns to be strategic as well.

Laurie---If i had to do two workouts in one day, I think doing weights(nothing like STS--though) in the evening would be easier for me too.

Sam, Even with this wet weather we are having the air is really damp. Good idea to keep the AC on, just to keep the house comfortable. Sorry to hear that you had one of those days. ;) The road that the deer where on is in a cul-de-sac, so there is not much traffic. We didn't have near as bad of fog as when I got into work. :eek: But I did notice this morning that the neighbor didn't leave the deer out again. ;)

Sue, Good luck on the weigh in, hope you are the biggest loser! ;) Yep the deer where gone, but I don't think Helmut and his wife are leaving the temptation out. He has added deer over the years, and this is the first time someone has moved them. Core Dynamics is my favorite ab workout right now. I always feel my core afterward.

heartymax, That is nice that the family will be able to venture on vacation without you. And of course you get some time to yourself. I would be smiling also. Not that we don't love our family, but sometimes we need time away from each other. I think that is why I'm ready for DD18 to be in college. :D I will miss her for sure, but she needs time away from us. ;) I'm glad that these workouts later in the day are short, STS would have a huge dread factor if I had to do them after work. :eek:

Good morning! Not much to report since yesterday was my rest day. I feel ready to tackle my last week of Slim Series. I'll be finishing just in time before leaving for Missouri next week. My plan for today is to do Shape It Up! and buy Travel Fit :D

Heartymax- Enjoy having the house to yourself. I've been taking DS to his sitter a day here and there this summer already so I can get some cleaning done, so I definitely understand cherishing that time.

Sue- I hope your weigh-in was rewarding!

Laurie- Love 4DS kickbox! I'm taking that one on vacation.

Heartymax - We're both in the same boat this summer - not going anywhere but a few days alone away from the family. I shouldn't smile about that either but I am. :D Sounds like you needed a rest day so that worked out well.

Laurie - Great workouts. You are a machine! :)

Sam - So what's the verdict on Slim Series? Would you do it again? Have a great time in Missouri! We visited Hannibal, MO and thought the people were some of the nicest I've ever met.

BIGGEST LOSER RESULTS ARE IN:
drum roll please. . . . .

I came in 3rd which means I get my $20 entry fee back. The winner was paid $340! :eek: Kicking myself for not trying harder! 2nd place gets $40 so they make $20. I lost 10 pounds total which is more than I thought. 6 people gained weight so they had to pay an additional $20. That's what made the pool so large. I'm signed up for the next round which ends September 30 so I've got to keep going. Any suggestions for a rotation after I finish Supreme 90? I'm on my 4th week of S90. I'll have about 5* weeks after finishing S90 to do something else. I keep hearing about people losing with Slim Series and Tracy Anderson. I know any program will work though as long as the diet is good.

Today is a rest day. Tomorrow is a short day because of summer hours so won't get a chance to checkin. S90 Total Body is on the agenda for tomorrow afternoon or night.

It's Friday again ladies! Just finished back and biceps and my muscles are tired in a good way!

Sue---WTG---in the contest. 10lbs in a great! I didn't realize the people who gained weight would have to pay $. WOW!! Gaining weight while doing a contest.....argh...Were they really serious about the contest or do you think they just joined because others in the office were doing it?

Sam----so what's your verdict with Slim Series??? Is it a thumbs up?

Susan---can't wait to see the new pics?

Laurie---I love leaner legs. I think they should call it LEAN MEAN Legs.
