Wow, it is pretty sticky outside again today. This summer has been kind of miserable! I think relief is coming later tomorrow though, let's keep our fingers crossed.

It was hard for me to get up again this morning but I made it and did MM. Jedi, you're right, I love MM too! Thanks for reminding me of that! I know it's supposed to be an endurance type workout, but I tried to lift pretty heavy and I don't see how that workout can't give you some strength gains.

I am supposed to get my treadmill fixed today. It runs but the incline won't work which is pretty frustrating. Hopefully they can fix it today and it won't be some long, drawn out ordeal!

Good morning Thea and everyone else.

Today's the day! I'm excited to meet you all and look forward to 5:30! I seriously will bring a Cathe dvd to hold because I'm usually early everywhere I go and won't know anyone when they walk in lol. I assume this place is casual? Shorts okay?

Thea, once again I have to say kudos to you for working out so early in the morning. I just can't do it. So many mornings I set my alarm earlier and always end up hitting the snooze or re-setting it for when I HAVE to get up. I hope your treadmill incline works. Do you use Cardio Coach at all? It has given me a new love of elliptical and treadmill.

I blew my eating yesterday :( so back on track today. I decided I am just concentrating on maintaining my weight until school starts. Having my kids here for summer has been so stressful; I know that's contritubing to me not being able to stay on my eating plan.

And I did something to my toe-I dont' think it's broken but it's definitely sprained, if that's possible. The one next to my big toe-I can still walk and workout but when I don't have shoes on it hurts. I slammed it into my shoe, which was on the floor in front of a table. Ouch!

Good morning.
Today is my last day at work before a week of vacation. I'm really looking forward to it, but I still have meetings and other fun stuff to get through before I can focus on getting ready for my trip.

Last night I did Imax 3 and Stretch Max 3. I'm learning to like Imax 3 the more I do it, but it sure is a tough one. I paid close attention to the intervals and have decided that the ones with the biggest dread factor for me are #4 (jump wide, turn, tuck jump, etc.) and #8 (plie jack, plyo jack, airborne jump, knee up). I think it's mostly because I get through them by counting how many more rounds I have to go, and both of these intervals go through the routine six times on each side. They just seem long — but I also feel the best when I finish these without stopping at all. :)

Anyway, I slept in again this morning, so I'll work out tonight. I'm going to do one of my favorite workouts: cardio and legs from Boot Camp, then HSC in its entirety. It's just enough cardio for me to feel like I've done enough, and the weights hit all the body parts. I think I've officially decided that HSC is my favorite workout from the new series.

I hope everybody is surviving the heat! It's *supposed to* break this weekend, I've heard.

Oh Thea, it's great! cardiocoach.com has clips you can check out, and he frequently gives away volume 2 for free to try out. Are you coming tonight? I can tell you more about it, or let you borrow one and check it out if you want to. (Or email me at [email protected] for another idea!) There are tons of posts about it at VF and yaya if you post there. It's motivational really-"Coach Sean" leads you through an interval workout ranging in length from 34-51 minutes. I can't believe I can last 51 minutes on the elliptical, and I couldn't without these workouts.
 
Morning Everyone,

I had to get up at 4:30 this morning to make it to work. We had physical inventory in our production area, and I just got done with that. Whew! Glad that only happens once a year.

Tonight will be SJP and KM Leg Drills. Last night I was doing the walking lunges outside after 9pm. Was is muggy out. At least I didn't get eaten up by mosquitoes. x(

Thea good luck with the treadmill. I don't know what I would do without mine.

I am also excited about the get together tonight. :D

Thea & others with a treamill or elliptical - I'm jealous. I'd LOVE to have one but our house is so small there's no room.:-(

Pedmom - I'm coming from work and didn't think to bring a change of clothes (but I did remember my camera!) so I'll be slightly dressed up but please by all means dress comfortably. My husband busted his toe in June and it STILL hurts him. Hopefully yours will heal much faster than his.

Ellen - Those intervals in Imax3 you described are the ones I dread the least! LOL The ones that get me are the plie jacks and the long hop to the end of the board, hop to the other side, turn, tuck, richochet. Even counting dosn't help me on the latter one. :p

It was Kickmax for me this morning. The blast actually felt easier than last week but was still a butt-kicker. I couldn't believe my heart rate monitor said I burned 549 calories! This included the leg sculpting drills at the end.

Tomorrow I'm going to Six Flags with hubby and the kids so I don't know if I'll have time to checkin. I plan on doing a 30 min. jog + 1 segment Coremax + 1 segment Stretchmax. For the rest of the day it will be DriveMax, TollMax, RollerCoasterMax, WaterParkMax, WhineMax (the kids - not me), and SleepMax.

I'm getting really nervous about weeks 3 and 4 of the Hardcore Fat Burning Rotation. It'll be my first time for Hardcore Extreme so someone may have to send the paddles out to Waukesha! Embrace the challenge - don't fear it, right?

Hey All! I woke up this morning and the first thing I said to my DH was "Tonight is my Cathe dinner!" LOL! I just can't beleive how excited I am to meet you all!

As for my workout.....blah! None today....no time. I had meetings all this morning and then well, tonight......you know!!! WHOOHOOO! Anway, glad you all are getting your workouts in and I think I'm going to put my bootcamp for tomorrow to make up for not working out today (or yesterday) .....ummm (or Monday) YIKES!! Maybe I need to squeeze in a workout tonight after dinner. I may have to do that. I didn't realize that I hadn't done a workout since Sunday!!! Oh well! See you all tonight!!!

Ok I'm happy to report that I did squeeze a workout in. I did HS Circuit. I made a bargain with myself that if I worked out, I could do my easiest Cathe. (Oxymoron, I know!). But then I ended up upping the ante-heavier weights, extra risers, straight-legged dips, stuff like that. So now my triceps are fried, but I feel great! I rested yesterday and I know for a fact that if I skip more than ONE day I have such a hard time getting back.

i am posting late today. Today I did Imax 2 and superset (I taped it from FitTV and wanted to try it-I Liked It). We got a digital camera yesterday. It is my first digital camera so I was playing with that today also. I also did so shopping for a wedding present for a friends wedding that I am going to be missing due to being in Ohio next week. I hope everyone has a great time at the dinner tonight.

I'm frustrated to report that although I had planned a great workout for today, I think I'm just too worn out to do it. I know it's healthy to listen to your body when it calls for an unscheduled rest day, but I still hate when it happens. I felt like I was just in a fog today, and caffeine didn't help. Ugh! It's rare that I feel like this but I'm always surprised when exhaustion catches up to me so suddenly.
Anyway, I'm going to plan to go to bed early tonight, hopefully get some decent sleep and do the workout I planned for today early tomorrow.

Jedi-have fun with the new camera. As the BBs that came to dinner tonight can attest to, it takes awhile to figure it out! I've had mine about a year and have never figured out how to get the flash to work lol. Luckily Robin and Sue had camers. Robin already posted a picture!

Ellen-rest days are hard, no doubt about it. Mentally anyway ha ha. I swear there are days on the weekend when all I want to do is lay on the couch and watch bad tv (Lifetime, Cynthia? LOL)

Cynthia said tonight she had nothing to do all day cuz all their stuff is packed, so she watched movies on LT all day :)

We had a great time tonight and I look forward to another dinner (or something else?) soon. Hopefully you guys can make it!
