Cathlete
Morning BB's,

Well yesterday instead of doing Coremax I did 10 min. Solutions Kickbox Bootcamp. It had 5 - 10 min segments that consisted of punching, kicking, bootcamp type cardio and Abs. This would be something that I can tack the KM Intensity drills onto, and have had a great workout. The one segment I really liked was the punches with 3lb weights. I feel this in my upper back and shoulders this morning. }( The ab segment was also effective. So big thumbs up from me.

Today will be all three segments of Coremax and a light 3 mile run.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Sounds like a great workout Laurie!

I did IMAX2 followed by 30 minutes on my Nordictrack. I am also leaving to walk the dog in a few minutes.

Hope you all have a good day! Stay strong - Susan

Hi BBs!
Sorry for not getting here yesterday - just a very busy day.

Wasn't happy with the snow Friday night! I had to cancel my Sat Spin class and did Low Max at home instead. DH and I went on Sunday though - crosstrainer and weights again. Yesterday was Leslie Walk and Kick in the morning and pilates at night. This morning was a Margaret Richards Upper Body and tonight is Spin.

I have a bunch of new workouts coming - 2 TLTs, 2 new Turbo Jams, and last 2 P90 Masters. Guess this will have to tide me over until the new Cathes come out.

ATTENTION BBs - ANY OF YOU INTERESTED IN GETTING CERTIFIED IN TURBO KICK????? WAC in Greenfield is hosting the training and certification in March. You don't need to teach but you could either at WAC or the Y. This would allow you to be able to buy TK Rounds which I think are better than the Turbo Jam workouts. I don't think I am ready but would do it if someine else wanted to do it. It is a Saturday and I can find out more about the cost etc if someone is interested.

Good workouts, everyone!

Sounds like everyone's working out hard!

Laurie - Wow, punches with 3 pound weights! I bet that would be challenging! I wonder if Cathe will do anything like that in the new workouts.

Susan - Wow, IMAX2 followed by a 30 minute cardio! You're awesome!

Marie - Sounds like you have some great workouts coming. I'm always curious about the P90 workouts, but I've never tried one.

Last night was Circuit Max for me - those compound moves always get me. I like the variety of the cardio in this one, too.

Have a good day, everyone! - Sarah

Good morning,

Today I did Legs and Glutes, the timesaver premix from GS back, shoulders and biceps, and Coremax 1. I wanted to do the full version of the Gym Style workout, but I didn't have time. Oh well. Last night I ran only half of what I intended... I've gotten shin splints the last two times I've gone running. Boo. They seem to come and go with me — I'll get them every run for a week or so, and then they'll go away. It's weird. I tried stretching and walking in between laps, but I didn't want to be at the gym all night! I'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Great workouts everyone!

Ellen

Hi ladies!!

I had to take a rest day yesterday because of work. :( I have some bad doms in my inner thighs and butt today, so I'm going to do an upper body weight workout and then later cardio on either the TM or elliptical. I was down 3 lbs this morning, from being UP 3.5 yesterday. It must have been all the extra water I drank on Sunday night, or the Weights First workout I did.

Laurie I have to LOL when you say "a light 3 mile run". I'm not a runner so any distance is not light to me!

Susan great job on your workout already this morning!

Marie sorry you missed your Sat. class. :( Oh which TLTs did you order?

Hi to Sarah & Ellen!!

Jill

Jill - I got Strength in Movement and Finding Your Core. I agree with your running comment. I would be dying trying to run 3 blocks right now. DH is thinking of doing an Ultra Marathon this year. I think he is nuts.

Laurie - All THREE sections of Coremax! Are you nuts?! ;) I've never tried that and I don't know if I want to. LOL Your abs must be in awesome shape.

Susan - I have a Nordic Track, too and it always amazes me how I don't feel like I'm working that hard but I sweat like crazy and my HR monitor always shows a nice calorie burn. I've been meaning to do a little cross-training with it so thanks for the reminder!

Marie - Which Turbo Jams are you getting? I'm thinking of ordering more since I like CP1 so much. Sorry the snow made you miss your spin class but DH and DS liked it so they could do their winter activities at Indian Guides camp on Saturday. DD's camp a couple of weeks ago didn't have any snow.

Ellen - Sorry to hear about your shin splints. I hate it when I get those. x( How are your shoes doing? Do you have enough "cush"? I think I got 'em one time because my shoes were worn out.

Jill - Yeah for being down 3 pounds! Don't you just hate that stupid scale. }(

Hi, Sarah!

I did Lowmax 1-4 and MIS abs this morning. My calves are so sore from my GS-Legs workout on Saturday (and those endless calf raises). Once I warmed up they were okay this morning but still a little tight when I walk.

Sue

Hi Marie & Sue. :) Marie, SiM is my favorite. (I hope you like it better than Sue did!)

My inner thighs and glutes were so sore this morning! EVERY time I do the old Fitprime Weights First I have doms there. There are so many lunges, squats, dips, and leg presses!!!

So I figured I'd do an upper body only workout today, and maybe some cardio. I decided on the Supersets premix. But once I was into the warmup I felt pretty good, so I stopped it and started over and the whole thing. Those jumping alternating lunges were hard, and also the pliet low ends!! (Is that how you spell pliet? I'm having a blond moment).

And my next Amazing Race dvds came today, so I'm going to get 45 minutes of cardio in later. :)
Jill

wow, you don't feel like you're working on your NordicTrak? I, too, have one, but I don't use it very often for the exact opposite reason. I feel like I'm really working on it. I must admit, cardio is my least favorite, so I don't do it near often enough, so that probably has a lot to do with it. It's on my New Year Resolution list to do more though, so here's to that!

Jill - Plie with one of the funny marks over it which theoretically tells you how to pronounce it since it is different than it looks.

Sue - there are 2 more Turbo Jams out now and 4 more scheduled to be released early Feb. The Cardio Party Remix (out now) is getting great reveiws. I thought you would be interested in the Turbo Kick certification!

Another one with a Nordic Trak. I would like to use it more but need to finish up my exercise room so I can get to it easier.

Thanks Marie. I am usually a pretty good speller but just couldn't figure that out at that moment!

You guys I am totally insane. Just put me away now! I decided last fall that I'm going to sell my house and move to a condo. There is only small area with condos here in East Troy. I saw the only one for sale last night and I want it!! So now I'm frantically trying to get things ready to put my house on the market asap. I have a handyman guy coming over Thursday morning to look at some minor repair stuff I need done (after 10.5 years the house needs a little sprucing up) and have to go to a carpet place in Franklin sometime. I need to put new carpet in my living room, but obviously it's not going to be real expensive stuff.

It's tax season! What am I thinking??

Well, I can tell you actually lol. The housing market is taking a huge dump and seller's are going to be hurting very soon, so I want to try to get rid of my house and not start listing it in June and have it sit for sale for a year.

Oh well, it keeps me too busy to be bored and eat! LOL

This will be me soon

Marie - The Turbo Kick certification sounds like it's for instructors, right? I know you said you didn't have to teach but I think I'd feel out of place. I also have 2 Saturdays in March booked already - 1 for work and 1 for fun so I might not even be available. Maybe someone else is interested.

Sue

Sorry I forgot to answer that Marie!

Um, I have enough commitments right now. I've always wanted to be an instructor though! I think it would be really fun once I got used to it. I'm sure I'd be shaking with nervous the first few times though lol.
Jill

Not just for instructors. It is for anyone that wants to be certified which means you can buy the instructor workouts. Many have certified just to be able to buy the rounds.

Jill - good luck with selling your house. I agree a condo would make life much simpler. Muggs barks and freaks out now when we leave so they would be kicking us out.

Off to spin!

Wow Jill! That's pretty exciting! Did you put in an offer? Selfishly, I want to hear that the housing market is slowing down... we want to buy a house (we're renting), but most of what's available in and around Madison is out of our reach. I hope it works out for you :)

LOL @ "selfish". I want the same--I want mine to sell high and be able to buy low! LOL. I did not put an offer in yet. It's too early. That's why I don't think I'll get it. I at least have to have the things I need done arranged for!
