BUFF BADGERS Spooky Friday the 13th

Good morning! Do you all dare to leave your homes today? LOL JK. I have to go to the office today, so I won't be able to check in.

I ended up taking a rest day yesterday and getting a little bit caught up with work since I'll be at the office today. And.....

I got a call that Taylor had had a fender bender. 2 weeks to the day of getting his license! Ack!! But everyone is fine and the damage wasn't too bad to the other guy's truck. He was turning left into a parking lot and "didn't see the truck" and caught him on the end. :( He was really shaken up and last night told me he doesn't even want to drive. I explained that that's why we have insurance and accidents happen and it teaches him to be even more alert. I felt bad at how upset he was! So the insurance will go up I'm sure. :( :( I thought it was pretty cheap ($44/month) but so much for that!

Hopefully today Christy will be coming over and we'll do the TLT we had planned for yesterday when I get home from work.

Have a good Friday!!

Morning BB's,

Today is HSTA plus Abs from KPC (says to do the abs twice) How nice! My youngest DD loves playing with my stability ball so I need to add a little air to the thing. :) Saturday will be Step Fit plus 20 min of Ab Hits. Sunday will be Cardio Kicks / Imax 1 second 5 Intervals / seg#2 of Coremax. Next week is the last week in this rotation. Then I have decided to take an easy week.

Tomorrow we have a swim meet, this is only an Intersquad meet. Sunday we are going to Chicago to look for some drapery material for our bedroom. So another busy weekend.

Jill, sorry to hear about Taylor's fender bender. Too bad it had to happen so early in his driving career. My first accident was very similar. Only I wasn't the one making the left hand turn.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi Everyone!

Been sooo busy this week. This working all day, homework, errands, cleaning, and exercising is going to kill me. I'll adjust. I sure miss my free days though.

Did Ready, Step, Go the past 2 days with some weight work. I really like it. It isn't terrribly complicated, but she sure adds on quick. Not a lot of TIFTing. Just what I needed. It will be an intense one once I get it down. A little Cathe flavor in this. Very athletic and non-dancy routine. Tonight is my off night, I need to get this house straightened and cleaned. I am going to try Patrick's Body Design tomorrow. I don't have a bar, but I think I can improvise with weights. We'll see.

Accepted an offer on our house! Finally!! We had 2 offers, one offered us more money but contingent on his divorce in a month. I don't think so. We didn't have time to counter because we had to either deny or accept our other one, which we did. I am so happy. I hope this one doesn't fall through. That idiot from Remax had our house for 5 months, not one offer. Our realtor friend from Shorewest has it for a week and we get 2 offers. We should have signed with her from the get go, regardless of the commission. I hope DH never puts us through this again. My nerves can't handle it.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Cynthia

Boo!

Happy Friday the 13th to y'all. So far, so good. No black cats in my path, just a stubborn preschooler who doesn't like to get dressed in the morning. Urgh.

Jill - so sorry about your son! I had a fairly major accident when I was a teen - I was driving home from taking the ACTs, spaced off, ran a red light right into someone! Everyone was OK but needless to say it was traumatic for everyone involved. I'm glad it wasn't anything worse than a fender bender for Taylor - I hope he shakes it off. Poor kid.

Last night I did Imax as part of the Aug '04 Legs & Glutes rotation. After recently doing Imax 2 and 3, Imax does actually seem *slightly* tame. Not that I wasn't having cardiac arrest during the explosive lunges at the end. I usually poop out at about the same time Hope does. Gotta get through those someday!

Cynthia - congrats on accepting an offer on your house. I've never been in that position, but it seems kinda stressful. Hope it all goes OK.

Have a good weekend, everyone. - Sarah

Good morning,

Jill, I hope your son isn't too shaken up. That's always scary, especially when you've just started driving. I'm sure he'll keep it in mind and will be extra-cautious.

Laurie, what a crazy weekend ahead for you! You deserve an easy exercise week.

Cynthia, congratulations on your house! It must be such a relief. I think it took my parents eight or nine months to sell the house I grew up in a few years ago... it's such a crap shoot.

Sarah, Imax definitely isn't as complicated as the other two, and sometimes that's what makes me like it more. The intervals don't seem as long as they do in Imax 3 — that's one that hasn't grown on me too much, even though I still do it from time to time :)

I think today I'll do something from CTX, then Candlelight Yoga, which is one of my favorites. Tomorrow is another run, and Sunday is supposed to be a rest day, but I think I might do Muscle Max or something. Then I'll run again on Monday. That'll be my last day off work for quite a while, I think... school starts again on Tuesday. I'm not very excited this semester — I'm taking trigonometry and statistics. Whoopee.

Have a great weekend!
Ellen

Hello to All! I was up at it at 4:15. Did the first 1/2 of MIC and then Pyramid Lower Body. I felt pretty good. Usually all that bouncing in MIC irritates me so early but not today! Tomorrow is a run followed by Pyramid Upper Body! Oooo I get to sleep in too - til 5:00!:) Rest day on Sunday (sounds so good).

Jill, sorry to hear about your sons accident. I remember my first one in a parking lot. I was about 18. I was more shook up by having to tell my folks then the incident itself! My dad reacted the same as you- accidents happen. I haven't had one since.

Cynthia, congrats on the house! I have moved 7 times in 14 years with my hubby! He can never seem to settle in one house. So I know what you went through. It can be very frustrating! We sold 3 homes by ouselves. The home we are in now will be the last til the kids are older. I told my hubby at least 8 years. Good luck with your move.

Sarah, I don't know about you but I hate the plyo jacks in IMAX1. I get a mental block when I get to that point. I also hate those plyo scissors. Those are tough.I think I'd do IMAX2 everytime over #1.

Ellen, Trigonometry and statistics?? Oh my! I have a hard enough time helping my 3rd grade daughter her multiplication!:) Good for you!

Have a great weekend ladies! Stay strong - Susan

I agree re IMAX3

Ellen - Yes, IMAX3 is slightly insane, I think. Shorter rest periods, very high impact in so many intervals. Imax1 seems more balanced, and more easy to modify if necessary. I think I like Imax 1 and 2 better, for sure.

Candelight Yoga - that sounds great! Good luck with your upcoming semester. Statistics *shiver*!! Not a math person myself. More power to you!

Susan - I love the first 1/2 of MIC. I love that "up over, and then up back" move. I always feel kinda bouncy during that part.

Cheers! - Sarah

RE: I agree re IMAX3

Hi All! HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!

I continue to be consistent but still haven't been able to up the amount of time since I am struggling to get out of bed. I am happy though that I am doing something and that this is a good start to build on. This morning was a kickboxing workout from the Caribbean Workout DVD.

Jill - sorry about your son's fender bender. I heard that most will have an accident within 6 months of getting their license. So at least this was minor. DSD had a few but does not seem to learn from them. And that was before she had a cell phone to hang on to while driving. Scarey!!!

Cynthia - So glad you finally sold the house. When is the closing and transfer of the heating bills? Did you order Pam Cosmi's step? That is also getting great reviews from advanced step lovers. Collage is carrying it if you want to see a preview.

Out beautiful early spring seems to be gone but upcoming temps don't look too bad. Still above normal, at least.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Tomorrow I am trying a different spin class and hope I like this one better than last Saturday. I love my Tuesday class.

Jill - My TLTs came yesterday along with my 4 pound squishy med ball!!! I previewed SIM and FYC last night and can't wait to try them - a lot of new and interesting moves. May have to get a smaller stability ball though. Mine is 65 cm and when I lie on it on my side, I can't touch the floor. I agree with what some of the reviews have said about the camera work. At times, they zoom in too close and it's hard to see what they're doing. I get a kick out of how they name their moves - Statue of Liberty, playtime, draw the sword, etc. I only have a couple of Firm tapes so this is new to me. One more week of the Aug 05 rotation to go and then I can do them. Sorry to hear about your son's accident. I've had some near misses and was rear-ended once but (knock-on-wood) have never been in anything serious.

Laurie - You deserve an easy week after this rotation. I think I'll take one, too. ;-)

Cynthia - Congrats on selling your house! What a relief that must be. :)

Sarah - I agree that Imax is "slightly" easier than Imax2 and definitely easier than 3.

Ellen - I liked Trig but Statistics - yuck!. I guess it would have helped if I hadn't skipped the class so much to work on my computer programs. :7

Susan - MIC at 4:15?!

Still waiting on Cardio Party 1 from Beachbody. It hasn't been 2 weeks yet since they said it shipped and the email said it could take up to 2 weeks so I'll give them until Tuesday when it's officially 2 weeks to complain.

Haven't done my new Mindy one yet either (Awesome Intervals, I think). I kind of actively previewed it though during parts of it. I have more than enough to keep me busy waiting for the new Cathe dvds!

Did Step Fit this morning and will do 20 min. of abs tonight. REALLY looking forward to my rest day on Sunday. Tomorrow's another tough one - Cardio Kicks + Imax 6-10 + Coremax seg. 2
