Oh my can't believe it is Sept 1st.

Started this morning off with XTrain Burn Sets Bi's & Tri's. Had really good strength in the Burn Sets this week. Loved it!!

What movie were you watching while doing the elliptical? When I'm on the elliptical I usually have on the news. I have the TV on low so I don't wake up DH so with the noise of the elliptical I can barely hear it. I try to read lips, which I'm terrible at. I can't figure out how to put the captions on that TV so I could at least read what they are saying. Oh well, no biggy.

Looking forward to the 3 day weekend. Not that we have anything planned just that I don't have to come to work on Monday. ;)

This morning I did that 20 minutes of craziness on the elliptical. Doesn't seem to be getting any easier. Still like doing it though.

Happy Labor Day!!

Saturday I had my Tabata Bootcamp class, which went well. Sunday was my no workout day. This morning I did XTrain Hardstrikes - the cardio only portion. I had enough other activity throughout the weekend. Between lawn trimming, cleaning houses, digging up and moving rocks....those were my extras. ;)

Good Morning!

This morning I did RWH Chest, shoulders, and Tri's. I have a feeling those muscles will be talking to me tomorrow. That's okay, the workout felt great.

Sorry for not checking in consistently last week. I put in old DVD movies to watch on the elliptical. Last week was Good Deeds.

I can't remember what I did last week but I know I got in 4 days.
None over the holiday weekend. DH nephew and fiance came over and we don't get to see them often so it was nice catching up.

I love Burnsets or I love the way it makes me feel. Today was AOLH for some low impact cardio.

No worries. I figured you were busy with school starting and who knows what else.

That was nice you got in a good visit with DH's nephew & fiancé.

This morning I did a 20min lower body workout from the 20x20 challenge I did. I really like doing that 20 min blast for the lower body. Finished it off with the extended stretch from STS.
 
This morning I did RWH Back, delts, and biceps. Had another great weight workout this morning. Real good strength. Love days like these.

Not sure if I asked you already but are you on Instagram at all?
 
I overslept yesterday. DS woke me about shortly before 7. Yikes. He told me if I were planning to slept 2 more hours after dad leaves for work that I should set the alarm [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]. As if I planned to overslept.

It has been a tiring week so I am resting today but plan to get a good workout on Saturday.

Yes, I have an Instagram account. I have a few pages that I follow but don't really post.

Happy Friday!!

This morning I did the elliptical craziness as I call it. Finished that off with the relaxing STS stretch.

I hardly ever oversleep but man when I do, that's an awful feeling when you realize it. At least for me anyway. My heart starts pumping and I freak out, especially if I need to be somewhere.

Mine was nothing too exciting. Had Tabata class Saturday morning. That was the last class until Oct 1st. I have two weekends off. That'll be a nice little break. I decided over the weekend that I wanted to start this 12 week workout called #treadlift. It's 4 days a week for about a 1/2 hr. You have to do your own warm up and cool down. After the warm up you start out with 10 mins. on the treadmill. I do the elliptical since I don't have a treadmill. Each day we do something different for the 1st 10 min. Today for the first two min we "ran" at a certain speed. Then after that it was 40 secs sprint and 40 sec rest. Each sprint you went faster. I messed around with the resistance and my speed to make it work for me. Then after that I did 20 min of weight. Today was Chest & tri's. I have 4 exercises (chest press, chest fly, tricep push-ups, and overhead tricep extension w/one heavy db) and do 10 reps of each. The key is to go heavy and rest when you need to. I did go heavy. I liked it.

Had a bridal shower on Saturday afternoon. I never really get into those but it was nice.

Up late watching football on Sunday so I overslept again this morning so laced up after work and got in some elliptical cardio. Feel accomplished to stick to my word and did the evening workout. More football tonight so will probably go evenings again this week.

Your new challenge sounds like fun but I really can't sprint on my elliptical. I am more at a walking speed.

Ah.. that time of year again with football. Glad you stuck to your word and got some cardio in.

Today of my new challenge was 10 min on the elliptical. This time we stayed the same resistance and increased speed each min for up to 5 min and then the last 20 sec I went really fast and then rest for 40 sec and then repeated one more time. Then I had legs today. The 4 exercises were 1) lunge, squat, lunge; 2) Bulgarian squats (or elevated lunges in Cathe's world); 3)glute raises w/10 pulses at the end; 4) Still legged deadlifts. The first one I used 2 15# db, the Bulgarian squats I held onto 1 20#, the glute raises I put a 30 lb weight over my pelvis, and the deadlifts and used 2-25's. 4 rounds 10 reps each. I think my legs will be feeling this tomorrow. I'm not used to doing glute raises.

What's nice about these workouts is it's really easy to modify to what works for you.

Muscle Max was my evening workout. I can tell the difference because even though this is an endurance workout and weights are light...my body is tired at the end of the day and I could barely get through.

This morning was a leisurely stride on the elliptical for 30 min and then followed by the STS Extended stretch. My legs feel way better than I was expecting unless it's going to hit me later today or tomorrow. They're sore but not as sore as I was expecting.

Gosh, Muscle Max...haven't done that in a while. Glad you got your workout in at the end of the day despite being tired.
 
I can say that there has been a few times where I had a delay in DOMS after working the legs. Let me know if it hits you later [emoji23].

I had a hair appointment after work and tomorrow is Open House in the evening at work. I probably won't get home til 8:30.

I may not squeeze in a workout.

Good Morning!

Well, definitely a delay in DOMS. I started feeling it yesterday afternoon in my quads and in my glutes from those glute raises. Today I can definitely feel it from the glute raises. :eek:

Today my 10 min on the elliptical was an incline walk (so to speak). So I did a nice light warm up for 2 min. Then I got into it. So I had to do 1 min at a lesser incline (so I increased the resistance) and then the next minute increase my speed a little and resistance for another minute. Then the rest of the time it was 2 min faster and 1 min slower. Quads were feeling that. Then I went to back, bi's, and abs. Did 10- 2 arm db rows, 10 push-up row R &L = 1; 10 fast bicycles, 10 slow bicycles; 10 supermans. Did 4 rounds of that. Because I didn't feel like my bi's got a real good workout I did two sets of 10 bicep curls with 20's with a short rest between. Then finished with a nice stretch.

You got a long day today. Hope things go well at the Open House.

How did the Open House go?

This morning I finished my first week of the Build Phase in #treadLIFT with intervals on the elliptical and shoulders. The exercises today were shoulder presses, front raises, rear delt flys, and bench dips. Got it done and it felt real good.

Hi!

I was on vacation yesterday so I forgot to check in. A quick run down of the weekend. DH and I went to the Wisconsin Dells for a little weekend getaway. It was fun and relaxing. Went on a jet boat ride and had an absolute blast. My activities for the weekend consisted of going on walks.

Yesterday was back to the workouts and started week 2 of the Build Phase of #treadLIFT. Chest is feeling it today. Had my kickboxing class last night. This morning was legs. We'll see how I do this week. Last week DOMS set in on Thursday.

We had some bad storms and heavy rains bright and early this morning. It even sounded like it was hailing a bit.

This morning did 30 min on the elliptical and the STS Extended stretch. A relaxing workout this morning. :)
 
It has been cloudy and dreary the last few days. I have been so busy at work and just totally wiped out. No workouts so far this week.

I have read good things about Wisconsin Dell. Glad you had fun.

I see those DOMS kicked in[emoji2].
