Buff Badgers Month of August

Sunday was RWH back, shoulders and biceps. Today was RWH Low Impact Hiit One and 30 minutes of elliptical cardio.

Hope you had a great weekend. Did you teach any classes this weekend?

Saturday I obviously didn't work out since we had the mud run. Didn't teach any classes this weekend. I was out the door at 4:30 am and didn't get home until 4pm. It was a long exhausting day. Volunteering was fun but very busy and then we did the mud run afterwards. My sisters were kind of being "sticks in the mud" ;) and almost backed out on me but I talked them into doing it anyway. They were still not as into as I thought. My one sis didn't want to get so muddy. That's the fun of it. They were glad we went ahead and did it anyway. Sunday was no workout for me. Cleaned my parents house in the am and did the trimming in the yard in the afternoon which takes at least 2 hours. Monday I did ROKO and yesterday I did XTrain Chest, Back, shoulders, and core. I haven't been sleeping well lately so this morning I decided to take an extra day and get a little extra sleep.

The interview on Friday went well. Very informal. It pretty much boils down to I need to let them know which openings I'm interested in and they had about 5 different things that I could do. The down side of it is that without clients, you don't get paid. I'm not sure how to do this with my existing job and financially I have to keep this job until we get rid of some debt. I don't know... need to figure this out.

You've been working it with RWH. Woo Hoo!! Are those muscles feeling all PUMPED!!:D

So you were able to do the mud run. That is awesome. You have to be mentally prepared for something like that. It's nice that you live close enough to your parents to be able to do things for them.

The teachers come back on Monday so the students have one more week home.

Today was 45 minutes of elliptical cardio. I am pleased with my current plan to rotate every 2 weeks so I have one more week with RWH. I haven't decided what's next. There are so many that I don't reach for often til the 2 week focus could work well.

I have a much needed hair appointment after work so it will be a long day.

Good Morning!
This morning I did XTrain Bi's, Tri's, and core. Muscles feeling pumped.

My diabetic cat, Bandit, is not doing so well. He looks like he's shutting down. I've noticed within the past few months he was getting weaker and lighter and it's getting worse. Trying to decide if we should take him into the vet to see if something else is going on or if he's shutting down. I don't want to spend over $500 on a bunch of blood work for the vet to tell me he's shutting down. The vet has been telling us for the past 2-3 years about his age and with being diabetic and having kidney disease that it's just a matter of time. He doesn't appear to be in pain. He just looks really tired and weak. I was concerned that this morning he was going to be dead. He turned 17 this past June and has been dealing with diabetes and kidney disease for the past 5 years. The vet is shocked that he is still alive. I do think its only a matter of time. I'm hoping that he goes to sleep and doesn't wake up. I'll be able to handle that a little better than having to take him to the vet and put him down. Ugh... this sucks. Our cats are our kids. We have had Bandit and his brother Smokey since they were 6 weeks old.

One more week and back to school. I can't believe Labor Day is right around the corner. Summer is almost gone. :(

Have a great day!

I remember you sharing that Bandit was really slowing down a while back. I know it must be tough seeing him not be his normal self.

I don't do the regular bi's and Tri's. I normally do the Burnsets one. Hmm. I need to remember that as I am trying to keep changing things up.

Today was RWH Lift It Hiit It Legs. I needed a short workout so that was perfect. As I age heavy leg work is just harder on me so I think this was perfect. Reminds me of cardio leg blast.

Not muched planned for the weekend.

Good Morning!

This morning was Cardio Coach Press Play. I did 4 out of the 5 challenges. Ran out of time. Still had a great workout.. great sweatfest.

Last night we had to put Bandit down. At 4:30 I got a call from DH as I was leaving work and he left me a message saying that he was shutting down. He was barely breathing. We were trying to decide if we wanted him to let him pass naturally or take him in. Then we could tell he was suffering and struggling so I called the vet to let them know we were on our way. Thankfully they were only about 10 min away. A couple times I thought he died on the way there in my arms. Which I would have been okay with. I got worse once we go there and he was really struggling and suffering so said our good-byes and left the room. I wasn't sure if I wanted to be there when the gave him the shot. Part of me wishes I would have stayed in the room. Either way it would have been hard. I cried for over 3 hours. I still have such a headache from crying. Thinking about what he looked like when I walked out of that room was horrible. Very weird not having him around. His brother Smokey is by himself. Smokey has kidney disease as well. He seems to be doing pretty good so we'll see.

I did RWH LIHI legs once and it reminded of cardio leg blast as well. I did like that one.

Found out last night that my youngest niece got a job in Arizona as assistant store manager at Maurice's She'll be leaving in two weeks to head out there to start her new life. Her dad lives out there and she really liked it when she visited. She was very excited about it so I guess that is all that matters.

We don't have much planned for the weekend either. Pretty much just doing stuff around the house and yard.

Have a great weekend!

My heart goes out to you for the loss of Bandit. I can only imagine the pain you are experiencing.

DH and I have been going out to dinner on alot on Fridays to enjoy some quiet time alone. I must admit that I am really enjoying it but the late night eating is not good for me. This past Friday was a restaurant with food with a soul flavor and they had a live music. It was really nice. I ate too much. Had a glass of wine and didn't workout the next day. Yikes!! I did get in 45 minutes of elliptical cardio today though.

I started out with 15 minutes of core from Horizontal Conditioning Bootcamp and then RWH Back, Shoulders and biceps.

Good Morning!

Saturday morning I did Lower Body TriSets and my legs are still feeling it. Plus I also had my Sat Shape Up Class. Sunday was my no workout day. This morning I did Hardstrikes with the 3 Tabata Heavy Bag Bonus. That was fun.

Friday when I got home I went through an album that has pictures of our cats. I took out 2 nice pictures of Bandit and put them up on our fireplace mantel so I could remember him that way. It is helping me not think about that horrible image of him on Thursday night. Yesterday I was looking at Pet Urns and I think I found one we both like that we'll get and can put his picture in it and then when Smokey passes we can put his ashes in there as well and he'll be with his brother again. It's going to take some time getting used to him not being around. I miss him dearly.

One of these days when I feel ambitious I'll need to get out my HC Bootcamp DVD and give it a go once. Haven't done in it such a long time.

It's nice though that you and DH are enjoying some "we" time. I think it's important that you have that. I know what you mean about the late night eating.

Good Morning!

This morning I did Athletic Training. I like that workout. I like it with all the cardio at the beginning. It's just a good overall workout.

I had a bit of a melt down last night before I went to bed. I was looking at a picture of Bandit and started crying. I miss him so much and still expect him to come popping around the corner. I feel so bad for Smokey know being home by himself during the day. Granted they stopped playing together and laying with each other for a long time but you can tell Smokey misses him too. It's his brother. Deep breath....

Hope all is well and have a great day!

Well I started out with Athletic Training but I wasn't feeling that workout so after 20 minutes I moved to the elliptical for 30 minutes. Funny that we both had same thoughts today.

Happy Wednesday. Today was RWH chest, shoulders and triceps. I skipped the push up finisher because my chest was fried :). Today is a long day at work so tomorrow may be a rest day for me.

Good Morning!

This morning I did Crossfire. I like the workout. The one exercise I don't like in there is the 180 degree turns. Hate those.

RWH Chest, shoulders, tri's is a tough workout. Muscles are fried after that one. Those push-up finishers are definitely tough. Need your game face on for those. ;)

Good Morning!
Today was Upper Body Tri Sets. Forgot how hard some of those push-ups are in there. It was a good overall upper body workout.

Hope your day wasn't too long yesterday. Friday is almost here.

I hate those 180 degree turns also. I usually just do a 90 degree turn:). I am taking a rest day again because I will likely be working late again to make sure I am ready for Monday.

Will celebrate my 47th bday tomorrow. Plans to go out to dinner.

Enjoy your weekend. I have to figure out what workouts I will do the next two weeks. I may do one week of total body again and then move to something else. I thought about slow and heavy but boy does that require a lot of concentration so I am not sure.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY for tomorrow! Enjoy your dinner.

Today was Cardio Coach 5 on the elliptical. Had a very long day yesterday. Was out the door at 5:30 am and didn't get home until 8pm last night. After work I had dental appt. and then at 6:30 I had to put on my personal trainer hat and meet with someone. My Saturday class is canceled tomorrow, which isn't a bad thing. I have fasting blood work I have to go in for tomorrow morning and I have lots of other stuff going on so it worked out for the best.

Have a great weekend!

Saturday was CrossFire. We went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and then finished a little back to school shopping. Today is the first day of school for students.

Started my morning with Muscle Endurance.

August comes to an end and I am happy that I have been very consistent with my workouts. I am writing down everything in a notebook so I can keep track. I have been doing at least 5 workouts and sometimes 6. I can see the difference in my arms since I have been more focused lately.

Tomorrow will start the September check in.
