Buff Badgers Monday

Good morning BBs,

It's a bummer that Monday is here again. It seems to come up on us so fast! I did a treadmill workout for 25 minutes followed by PP this morning. Had my weigh in Saturday morning at WW, but stayed the same. Probably better than a gain though! Had a good weekend but ate lots of junk and I am not sure why!

What do you guys think is the best Cathe cardio for me to try next (after ankle injury which is doing very well)--I have been doing LIS but am getting tired of it. I was thinking of maybe Low Max and doing half of it at a time at first? I figured that would be much tougher but not a lot of impact. I don't think I am ready for the pounding of IMAX yet! I am not sure about kickbox either, as there is so much side to side movement?

Hope you all have a good day!

Morning BB's,

Today will be PS CST and a 30 min. Interval Run.

Yes today is Monday again. x( Yesterday was DD's swim meet, she did very well. Came in 3rd in her 100 IM, but she got DQ'd because one of her turns she did wrong. Had some tears, but she learned a lesson. She also shaved 9 seconds off of her previous time. Very proud. :D They needed volunteers for timers. One way to get wet and not even step into a pool. I had fun though.

Thea, I think that Lowmax is good. How about the Step Combos Premix to start off with. If you have KPC do some of the punching drills?

Have a great day!

Good morning,

Today I did Kick Max, after getting up a little later than I wanted to :) It's getting harder and harder to get up in the morning.

My oldest brother is coming home a week from Wednesday so I'm already ready for this week to be done!

Thea, I'd agree with Laurie that a Low Max premix could be a good start. Some of the step combos have somewhat twisty moves (such as combo 3, when you're doing a diagonal basic on the narrow end, then go to a slap-clap). If you're cautious with those and do some modifications, you should probably be okay.

Have a great day!

Thea - Ellen has a good point about the twisty moves in Low Max (or any w/o for that matter).

Ellen - Is your brother in the service or does he just live far away?

Laurie - Sounds like your daughter's turning into a little fish. Too bad about the DQ but as you stated - a good lesson.

Caught up on my workouts this weekend and did All Step cardio (sub for 20 min. run), Stretchmax #2, HSTA, MM lower and Rhythmic Step. In addition, my husband needed help hanging our new chandelier for the foyer so I had to stand on the ladder and hold it while he connected it. It's a heavy piece and my arms were shaking. Biceps still hurt today. Thank goodness today is a rest day. :)

Have a good Monday everyone!

Hi Sue,

No, he's not in the service... just a PhD student at Florida State. We don't see him much so it's always an event when he comes home. He and his fiance are moving to California in January, so we have to make the family times count!

Thanks for asking :) And you did some awesome workouts over the weekend!
