Buff Badgers Monday June 12th

Can't believe I am starting us out this morning. ANother very busy weekend of working in the yard. The only things left are edging around the one tree with the stuff planted around it and along the side of the house. Both need to be mulched too. We bough 35 bags of mulch and only have 9 left. Believe me - this is a workout! It would be nice to have it all done by Father's Day but might be another weekend after that although actually the brick edging goes quick and looks nice. Prepping for it takes a little more time though. Neighbors were stopping by with compliments this weekend so DH is very happy and proud.

I slept in this morning but am going to the turbokick class at the gym after work.

Morning Marie! Yeah, Laurie or Susan usually start us off. Hmmm.

Wow 35 bags of mulch! I know that's tough work-DS and I replaced all the mulch in our front this spring, too. ti's not easy.

I decided I'm going to get back to exercise with the Nutrisystem plan. It's pretty easy, but it's a good starting point. It's just 30 minutes of cardio on days 1, 3, & 5, and 20 minutes of weights on days 2 & 4.

Kitty picture sharing time! Daisy is such a little sweetheart. She fell asleep like this on my lap!

Marie - I'll bet your yard looks compliment-worthy after all your hard work! DH and a friend (who needs the money so we pay him) worked on the yard all day Friday and most of Saturday. They straightened out a crooked tree we planted last fall, did tons of mulching (probaly not 35 bags worth though!) and pruned. The yard looks so much better. I was on kid-duty on Saturday - escorting the kids to their games - so I didn't help. Have fun at Turbokick!

Jill - Love your kitty! Ours were sitting by the patio screen one night and I happened to walk in the room and saw a raccoon on the other side of the screen! They were all silently sitting there, sniffing each other. Looked kind of cute but I freaked cuz I've never seen a raccoon on our deck before.

Are you still liking Nutrisystems? I fell off the WW wagon big-time yesterday. I was tired, sore and there were cookies in the house! I'm back on track today.

Did Viper on Saturday, CP2 Remix plus some ab stuff on Sunday, Power Circuit and CP1 this morning.

Thanks Sue! It is good to see DH so happy and proud of the yard since he would have been fine with it the way it was.

It is probably stupid but I also have anxiety before starting a new class at the gym. I am fine after the first class but making that first move is sometimes tough. I hope I love this class though since after a Monday work day, going home is much more appealing. One of my employees joined WAC and she is going to the class tonight too so glad I have someone else that I will know. At least you fell off the WW wagon for something good!!!

Jill - Your kitty is a cutie! Can you do the NS exercise plan with your videos?

Hello BB's,

I'm here! I'm here! Just busy at work today. I will be doing Imax2, 300 walking lunges, and Seg2 of Stretmax.

Marie, when you are all done with this landscaping project you will be able to sit back and enjoy your yard for the summer. Then of course another project will have to appear for the future. :D

Jill, you kitten is cute. I'm not a cat person, but think they are adorable.

Sue, I know what you mean about carting the kids around. That was my day on Saturday.

I went to my neices dance recital on Saturday. It lasted 2-1/2 hours, but when I got to see her dance it was special and worth all the time. She was so proud of herself, and I was proud of her. Of couse she was adorable in her little dance outfit. :) On the way home she wanted me to spend the night. Too bad I couldn't. Maybe if I was 4 years old like her. :+ Made me tear up when she asked, because she said please Auntie Laurie...

Have a great day!

Laurie

Sue & Marie, I'm still liking NS a lot! There were some foods that I didn't care for, and they let me exchange them. I think that's great!! Who wants to waste money? I was really surprised. I did have to pay to UPS them back, but I was happier with that than throwing the stuff away.

The exercise plan is extremely basic-30 minutes of walking and just 20 minutes of weights, and it's just a list of what to do. Ie bicep curls, rows, pushups, lunges, etc...

Hi laurie! Hope you're day gets quieter!

Laurie - I might have to sit out on the road to admire the lawn. We did this more for curb appeal so we don't get to see that much of it. Next year we will start on the back. I have learned so much with this project though so I can hopefully do the back without so much mental work and anxiety.

Evening ladies!

Marie, go take a picture! I'm serious. Christy took new pictures of the front of my house, from the front instead of the side. It looks WAY nicer than I thought it did!! You should take a picture and SHARE with us. Come on! Brag a little!

Your neighbors who are out walking, jogging and biking will get to appreciate it at least! ;-) When DH and I go for a walk, it's usually a more leisurely pace than when I'm alone and we love to look at everyone's landscaping.

I just read your message about your class and I know what you mean - not knowing what to expect from the class, what the instructor will be like, how many people will be there, what to wear, etc. Being the only one in class who either can't follow along or keep up are 2 fears of mine even though this has never happened (at least to the extent I imagined). The older I get though, the less I seem to give a darn what anyone thinks. (Not that I'm saying you give a darn.)

Time to go for a leisurely stroll with DH and admire some landscaping! ;-)
