Morning BB's,

Today will be Cardio Kicks and KM Leg Conditioning Drills.

Weekend was very uneventful. The ladies from our quilting group at church put 5 quilts together. These quilts are for charity, so I don't mind giving up my time. :D

Hope everyone enjoys the snow for we will not have it around for very long.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Morning Laurie. I heard about the snow too----it will all be gone soon. We might see 50 this week!

I did good this weekend with exercise. Yesterday I did Cardio Coach on the treadmill and then Supersets later in the afternoon, after bravely grocery shopping at Super Walmart on a Sunday afternoon. Yikes it's busy!!

Today......I'm not sure. I'm going to do a bosu workout, but not sure which one. I haven't used it in awhile because I had hurt my ankle and it's kind of hard on the ankles. :(

I took the whole day off yesterday and feel so much better today. I hadn't taken a single day off in over a month. It was nice to have a little mental recovery. 6 weeks or so left and then I'll have so much more time I won't know what to do with myself!

Have a good day!
Jill

Hi BBs,
I did the Turbokick Certification this past Saturday and made it through the day with lots of coughing but I survived and could even walk the next day. So I am now TK certified although my ranking is TBD. I expect to get the in training ranking which means I still need to practice. But I DID IT and that was the most important thing to me. That and the box full of TK workouts that I went home with! I met a bunch of great people and learned a lot so well worth it. I wish one of you could have been there to do it with me. I was the only non-instructor person taking it but no one made me feel funny or treated me differently. I took Sunday as a planned rest day but wasn't as sore as I expected. Feeling it mostly in my glutes but better today. I did a Leslie walking workout this morning to ease back in to my workouts and getting up early. And each day I feel better and have more energy so that is wonderful. I also bought some PiYo workouts so I can see what that is like.

Good morning,

I'm probably going to rest today. I ran 6.5 miles on Saturday and 4 yesterday, and after I ran yesterday I got a bad headache, so I'm taking it easy. I think my legs could use the break.

The snow can go away any time now! Yuck.

Marie, congratulations on your certification!

Ellen

CONGRATULATIONS, MARIE!!!! :) Wow, what an accomplishment! I wonder if one of the people you met was Julie V. (not sure of last name other than it starts with V) from the Waukesha YMCA. DH asked her on Saturday if she was the one in the Turbo Jam online video pulling a prank on Mindy and it was! Now I feel like I know someone famous (or at least DH does since I don't really know her). Anyway, Julie's business card said she was in charge of Wisconsin Sales Promotions for Turbokick. And she had a little PiYo logo on her card, too.

Hello, everyone!

Ellen - Yes, I agree - the snow can go away anytime now. LOL I liked it a couple of months ago but now I just want to be able to run or walk outside without fear of falling on the ice.

Jill - Glad you had a day off - you deserved it. :)

Laurie - You are SO generous to do quilting for charity.

I did Coremax Friday night and my abs are still feeling it today. }(

This morning I did GS Chest and LowMax 1-4. I started today with a 1 body part per day rotation with cardio. Someone posted their rotation and I thought it sounded good so I'll give it a try. This week is GS and next week is SH.

Have a great day everyone!

Sue

Thanks! I am still really excited that I did this even though I know I could have done better if I had been healthy.

Sue - Christi did the training but Julie is the other one for the state of WI. Julie is in round 26 which is the one we did on Saturday and as part of the training fees we got this round. Both of them do PIYO too. Have you ever taken one of Julie's classes? If you can, you should try one sometime to see if it is something you would like. From watching Julie in the round, I think she would be amazing. What times does she teach it? And where is the Y? Maybe I could go sometime - I would love to do a class with her. As part of the certification (2 years), you need to attend 2 workshops in the 2 years although they have other ways if you can't. Now that WAC is offering this too, hopefully they will have more training sessions offered. I wouldn't need to go to the whole day again - just the round workshop part. Their website is www.turbokick.com if you want to learn more about the programs.

Marie -

I'd LOVE to take her Turbokick class but unfortunately it's during the day - I believe Thursday mornings. I can ask DH to get a current schedule so I can see if she's added any Saturday classes.

The Y is located downtown Waukesha on Broadway next to the Post Office. The tricky part is navigating downtown Waukesha (always a challenge for newcomers) but if you come from the east on Hwy D from 164, it's just a straight shot.

I'll checkout the website when I get a chance. Curious to see how much it's like Turbo Jam.
