Morning BB's,

Today will be GS Back, Shoulders, and Biceps, and a 25 Min. 1:1 Interval Run on the treadmill.

Oldest DD had a great time at her first swim meet. She isn't the best 12 year old swimmer out there, but she isn't the worst either. :) She did have fun. One heat she came in 3rd and had the biggest smile on her face.

I will never play frisbee golf again. It was a beautiful day! The park is on Small Road in New Berlin, just off of Beloit Road. Glad I had shoes build for mud though. I just can't throw a frisbee to save my life. x(

Have a great day!

Hi Everyone!
Taped L&G off Fit TV. Plan to that after some cardio. Not sure which cardio, but I here Christi calling my name.

I chickened out and didn't go back to the health club. I told her I had an appointment and would try to come back, so maybe I will try it again this week. Kids don't have school today (Fall recess), so they are having a couple friends over today. They sure are adjusting well. It was cloudy all day yesterday and rained this morning for a bit. I haven't experienced cloudiness like this here. The temperatures have been very comfortable. It feels great to have windows open.

Good workout everyone!

Cynthia

Good morning,

Today I dragged myself out of bed and did HSC, one of my favorites. I'll get back into my regular more weights-focused workouts tomorrow. I'm wondering if it would be effective to alternate weight and fat loss rotations month-by-month or if that would be counterproductive. Would I lose any strength gains if I focused primarily on cardio for a month? I don't know, I overthink this stuff sometimes.

We had a great time in South Bend. If you watch football at all, you probably saw highlights from the Notre Dame/USC game all day yesterday. It definitely was the best game I've ever seen.

Can those of you from the Milwaukee area recommend a restaurant or something that is easily accessed from Madison and Milwaukee? A friend of mine is going to a conference in Milwaukee next week, and we want to meet somewhere between the two cities. Thanks in advance :)

Have a great day!

Ellen

Laurie - I'm with ya on the frisbee golf. Played it once and that was enough for me.;)

Cynthia - Let us know if you go back to the health club. Think of it this way: if you don't go you'll always wonder "what if?".

Ellen - Unfortunately, not too much for restaurants between Madison and Milwaukee other than fast food. :-( There's a truck stop (name escapes me - BBs help me out!) at the Johnson Creek Outlet Mall exit right next to the mall that serves HUMONGOUS desserts. (Cinnamon rolls as big as a plate!) We stopped there once and it was good. Portion sizes were huge. Other than that, you could look for a place in Delafield or Oconomowoc.

My husband caught the end of the Notre Dame/USC game on TV and he knows I don't follow sports but had to tell me anyway about the game. He said "They'll be talking about this game for a long time." and I said "One of the BBs is at the game!"

For workouts:
On Saturday I did Legs & Glutes thru the explosive lunges 2X and a 1 mile walk. On Sunday I did Imax2 1-5 plus Cardio & Weights heavy wts. upper and abs only followed by 20 minutes practicing Christi Taylor's Totally Cool Step* and a 1 mile walk later in the day. Today I did a premix, Solid Body Sculpting, off the new DVD and went as heavy as I could. All exercises were repeated and it lasted 45 minutes so my muscles feel very well worked out. I did some extra leg and ab work on my own.

*Jill, I think I have the first 20 minutes downpat! :) I struggled the first time I did this but yesterday it just seemed to flow. I remember struggling with RS the same way and now when I do it I can't understand what was so hard about it.

Have a good Monday, everyone!

Sue

I think that restaurant in Johnson Creek is the Pine Cone. It is part of a truck stop, and from what I heard the food is good. There is also a place called Hi-Way Harry's. Have never been there though, so couldn't tell you what it is like.

Laurie

Yep, thanks Laurie - that's the name (Pine Cone).

I know when my sister was home over the summer, she and my mom stopped off to do some shopping in Delafield and ate at a nice little place. Don't know the name but she said it was comfort-type food.
