Morning BB's,

Today will be all three segments of Coremax. I'm taking it easy this week. :) Haven't done my measurements yet. I haven't lost any weight, but I know there is fat loss and increased muscle. I can see it in my shoulders, back of arms, inner thigh, and stomach. :D

My oldest DD did a great job at her swim meet. She came in second on both of her heats, and shaved 2 seconds off her time in front crawl.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi Everyone!

Did Kelly's R,S,G Saturday and BC/ME bonus combo. I love that one. I needed some good strength this weekend and that's my favorite. R,S,G is so fun. Today will be Cardio Collectibles. I'm trying to love the step section, but not as good as the hi/low. Her music isn't as good in this one either.

Here you guys got a little snow this weekend. I hope it's melting. We didn't want to pay someone to snow blow the driveway. I'm hoping not much snow until we close on the house.

Good workouts everyone!!

Cynthia

Today I am doing Circuit Max and the last 30 minutes of KPC.

I also haven't lost any weight but I measured myself this morning and since last Monday I lost 1/2 inch off my waist and 1/4 inch off my hips and thighs! So I won't be too mad at the scale! :) Unfortunatley I lost 3/4" off my chest and let me tell ya there wasn't enough there to begin with!:D

What frustrates me is that I lose from from upper torso first and then my lower half. Wouldn't it be nice if we lost from the places that needed it the most right away? Well, it keeps me motivated!

Have a great day and stay strong... Susan

Good morning,

Today will be a three-mile run after work. I want to work on doing more stretching. By the time I took my rest day yesterday, I was so achy!

Laurie, congrats to your daughter!

I must not have been paying attention to the weather last week, because I didn't realize we were going to get so much snow. It took almost 45 minutes to get home from work on Friday, and I only live about two and a half miles away. Everybody was being cautious, which is good.

Have a great day,

Ellen

Mornin' ladies.

I had a busy weekend. I worked on Saturday and spent all day yesterday cleaning and doing laundry, etc.... I was pretty upset when I weighed myself this morning. I'm up 3.5 pounds from Saturday morning. I have no idea why! My eating was great all weekend and I had no cheats and no alcohol, plus I worked out for an hour on Sat. and almost 2 hours total on Sun. Grrrrrrrr. Stupid scale!! It better be down tomorrow!

Laurie-fat loss and muscle gain is good!!

Cynthis, is Cardio Collectibles Christy Taylor? I like her step (LOVE Totally Cool Step) but I don't like floor cardio at all, and I think CC is floor? The snow is starting to melt. So we'll have lovely gray slush soon. :(

Susan-woo hoo on inches lost!! Yup, I'm the same-not too hard to lose from the upper body (including bra area lol) but the lower is tough!!!

Have a good day Badgers!
Jill

Happy Monday!

Laurie - Congrats on your daughter. I'm always in awe of good swimmers! I find swimming very difficult. Frankly, I don't even like to get splashed in the water! :) Great job seeing fat loss and increased muscle. That's great!!!

Susan - I'm doing Circuit Max today too, plus some Ab Hits. GREAT job on losing inches! That's amazing!! I never measure myself, except by how my jeans fit. They are snug, sigh. I've been working out so regularly, it is frustrating. My weight is just not budging. Gotta clean up that diet, I guess.

Jill - I totally feel you about being frustrated with weight. My DH as quite a bit to lose, and he's taking some steps (watching diet, joined a fitness program at the Y) and at the weigh-in this AM he had gained 5 pounds! He was soooo discouraged. I'm just stuck at my weight, not gaining or losing. Ugh!! :( :(

We didn't get much snow here in Oshkosh - our ground is pretty brown but there was sure a nip in the air this AM. Brrrr!

Have a great day, everyone! - Sarah

Laurie - I've noticed inches lost from this rotation, too. Was actually able to zip up a pair of old jeans that haven't "zipped up" in years.LOL Of course, I had bad eating over the weekend again so I'm up again on the scale. Rats! And tomorrow I have to weigh in at the doctor's.

Jill - Hang in there! Maybe it's just water retention? You're doing such a great job losing so don't get discouraged now.

Susan - Congrats on the inches lost! I wish I could reduce my lower half, too. It's so blasted stubborn.

Finished the Aug 05 "Bootcamp" rotation on Saturday! (Imagine me doing a happy dance here.) Because of the snow on Saturday, I couldn't jog outside so did Cardio Party 1 instead. What fun! I really felt it in my waist, too.

This morning I did SIM - one of the new TLTs. Maybe just coming off the Bootcamp rotation has something to do with it, but I just did not feel worked out after I was done. The intensity level reminds me of yoga or Pilates - neither of which I've ever been able to get into. I don't know - am I missing the boat here on this funtional fitness craze? Other people seem to like the new workouts. I know Jill likes them and I've read other favorable reviews. I used 3, 5 and 8 dumbbells so maybe next time I should use 5, 8 and 10. Guess I was expecting more repetitions with the lower weight but with some exercises it was over so quick I was left standing there going "What? Is that it?" Maybe I'll like the other ones better. Tomorrow though I think I need some Cathe intensity.

Discovered yesterday the bag of Splenda I had been using to sweeten my coffee and oatmeal is a Splenda/Sugar mix with 10 calories per 1/2 teaspoon! You guys, I was using almost a full tablespoon in my oatmeal (60 calories) and sometimes I have oatmeal twice a day plus numerous cups of coffee throughout the day. x( No wonder I wasn't losing weight! Ugh! Check your labels, always check your labels. . .

Have a great day!
Sue

Wow you did the Bootcamp rotation?! I am in awe of you. I printed this one out and read it over 2 or 3 times and I just don't think I want to attempt it right now! I applaud you though! :) Susan

Sue, I'm so sorry you didn't like SiM much after my glowing reviews!!!! You could use heavier weights next time. But remember, it's not designed to be a traditional weight workout---it's core focused, and also balance and posture.

Jill - I guess I feel like every workout has to leave me exhausted and sweaty or I've just been wasting my time. That's the mindset I can't seem to get past anyway. :)

I'm not giving up on SIM yet! I'm going to try heavier weights and if that doesn't work, I can always sell on ebay so I'm not worried.

Sue

Susan - Aren't you doing the January rotation? That looks harder to me than the Bootcamp one because it's 90 minutes EVERY SINGLE DAY! (I'd like to try it though. ;-) )

Anyway trust me, the first time I saw the Bootcamp Rotation, I thought it was way beyond my level. Then, one Saturday I did a Cathe marathon (re-living the Cathe Road Trip along with a few others) of 3 Cathe workouts in 1 day (RS, ME and KPC). While I was doing the 1st workout I thought no way would I make it thru the other 2. I just kept telling myself to "just do it" and see how far I could get. By the end of KPC it was definitely more mental than physical and that inspired me to give the BC rotation a try. BTW, I did rest between these workouts so they weren't done back-to-back. I would definitely bow down to anyone who could do them 1 after another! LOL,

P.S. Laurie did it, too. Twice!

Maybe I will try this one in the Spring! I'll have to work up to it! I just don't think I could do Bootcamp twice in one day!! And the running 5 miles didn't trip my trigger either but I could do my NordicTrack for 5 miles... I'll keep the print out in my little Cathe Folder I have! Thanks for the encouragement! Susan

Jill, Cardio Collectibles is Christi Taylor. Its 30 min. Step and 30 min. hi/low. I did this for the 3rd time today and I like it, but not as much as her others. She sure TIFTed alot and it's ok when you are just learning the routine but I think one would get bored quickly with this one. If you like TIFTing you may like this. I do like the combo of step and floor aerobics and 30 min. of each is just the right amount.

Exercising at 3:30 p.m. is much easier better than 9 p.m. I seem to get more workouts in in the afternoon.

My tendons are really starting to hurt again. I don't want to take 2 months off (when we moved), but that sure did the trick. I guess I'll just keep icing them.

Take Care everyone! Tomorrow is my off day.

Cynthia
