BUFF BADGERS Mon 1/16

Morning BB's,

Today is a 3 mile run, MM, and PLB Stability Ball segment.

I have to be a proud Mom for a few minutes. DD had her intersquad meet on Saturday. She came in first on her 100IM for her heat! Should have seen the smile on her face. :D She also shaved off 3 seconds from all her times.

Went to Chicago for some drapery shopping. Got some great material in an eggplant and light green stripe. Absolutely beautiful, and only $11/yard.

Have my new computer, and I didn't lose any of my files.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi Laurie. Sounds like you had a nice weekend. :) Yay for DD!

I rested on Sat and yesterday did SiM from TLT. (Sue-did you get yours yet?)

I worked a lot this weekend, too. Another busy day today but I think I might get a reprieve from going to the office this week. My boss hasn't said anything so I'm crossing my fingers. :)

I am forcing myself to take a break from TLT before I overdo it and get sick of them, so today I'm planning on doing Rhythmic Step. It's my fave step workout from Cathe. :) Christy and her whole family have the flu, so I'm on my own.

Jill

Good morning,

I'm off work today, and I slept until almost 10! Of course, I stayed up till almost midnight too. :) Back to work and school tomorrow.

Since it's sunny and warmish (relatively) today, I'm going to run outside. I think I'm going to do some weight work first, either S&H or Gym Styles. I don't want to lose any strength while I'm focusing so much on running. I also ran on Saturday and did Muscle Max yesterday.

Laurie, congrats to your daughter! That's so exciting.

Have a great day,

Ellen

Hi BBs,
No workout this morning but am hoping to do a pilates workout and maybe some stretching tonight. Saturday was a spin class at the gym and yesterday DH & I went to the gym where I did 30 minutes on the crosstrainer and strength training. My body (esp thighs) are feeling this so wasn't sure what to do this morning. By the time I thought "ABS!" it was too late. I did like this spin class so plan to stick with this for my Sat class if I can get in. A very popular class so you need to sign up early to get a bike.

Someone posted at VF that Greg (CIA) posted that he is producing Cathe's new workouts but a filming date isn't set yet.

Laurie - Congratulations to your daughter. You have every right to be the proud mother! What kind of new computer did you get? And how did you transfer files? We have our old PC and hoping to get some of the old files out of it but not sure what happened to the files so not sure if they will be able to retrieve them. We bought a Dell about a year ago and it is OK but not happy with their tech support or customer service. What room is the new fabric for? Are you making these or having it done?

Jill - sorry you lost your workout buddy for a while! Good plan to mix in some other workouts so you don't burn out on your TLTs. I ordered the new I mentioned last week but not sure when they will arrive.

Ellen - good plan to mix running and strength training! DH is a runner but doesn't do enough strength training, IMO.

So happy that January is over halfway through and continues to be mild. I am not missing the snow and cold.

I didn't see that one was started sorry!!

Hello there ladies! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Mine went by too fast as usual! Todays workout was Step Jump and Pump followed by the abs portion of "Strong Legs and Abs". My tummy is on fire!
I am doing Cathe's Jan. rotation and wondering how it will feel to do 400 jumping jacks in the morning! I realy do like how she keeps me pushing myself in new ways.
Another dreary day here... I am hoping for an early Spring already!
Stay strong - Susan

Good afternoon everyone! Glad to see that despite the gloomy weather everyone is getting some good workouts in.

Ellen - I WISH I could have slept until 10 this morning! Stupid, blasted, @#$% beeper went off at 3:15 again this morning so I had to get up, dial in to work, ya-da, ya-da. Isn't it great being able to run outdoors without the ice and snow? I went for a walk yesterday and it felt great to get fresh air.

Jill - Yes! My TLTs came last Thursday. I've previewed SIM and FYC and am anxious to try them both and preview the others. This is my last week on the August rotation and then I plan on trying some of them next week.

Marie - DH gets turned away once in awhile from spin class at the Y, too because it's so popular. It's surprising they don't add more bikes or more classes. How's your butt doing? ;-) (If you don't mind me getting too personal. LOL)

Laurie - Congrats to your daughter! Are you going to make your own draperies? If so, my hat's off to you. I don't sew and probably never will. :D

SusanZ - Great workout! SJP is one of my faves.

This morning I finally dragged my butt out of bed at 5 - half hour later than I planned - and did Muscle Max and PLB stability ball. It was tough because I was still tired but I did it. Tonight I'll have to do the cardio - either run 3 miles or sub in a CTX cardio depending on my mood.

Hi Sue,
Same size :( but the soreness goes away quicker so I think my butt is adjsuting! :) You can sign up 7 days in advance for spin classes but the Sat one was filled for the following week before class started. So I know I need to sign up as soon as I get there. The class is at 8 so they could add a 7am class and I would go if the instructor was good. They hope to expand the room but it might not happen for another year. Those were the 2 TLTs I ordered so I will be anxious to hear your thoughts.

Hi Everyone!

No school today so I had a good workout. I have been trying out my new vids. I did Ready, Step, Go a couple times, Patrick's Body Design and Cardio Collectibles. Today I did R,S,G and Ripped upper body.

I really disliked PAtrick's. He is so annoying. The workout was creative, but not advanced. It never got my heart rate up. I felt like it was a waste of time. I gave my opinions on VF already. However R,S,G is a definitely near Cathe range. I breathed hard and got a great cardio workout. It's 40 min, but she never takes a break. She keeps adding on, but the choreo. isn't difficult. The second time I got it down. It has a Mindy-Cathe flair to it. Christi's is a lot of fun too. She's back in full force with this one.

Tomorrow is my off day. I'm finding my tendons are needing a break once in awhile. I really need to start icing them.

Good Workouts everyone!

Cynthia
