Hi all. We had a blast at Great Wolf Lodge. We were all very tired and hit the hay early last night. I used the elliptical and treadmill while there, but it wasn't enough to overcome the indulgences in food, so my weight is up today. :(

Not sure what my workout will be today when I return from the office. Weight dvd of some sort-maybe something shorter so I can try out my new bosu dvds!

Jill we posted at the same time! Glad you had fun at the Dells. We will be going with my family over the Thanksgiving Weekend.

Today will be the start of my 4 weeks with Pure Strength. I will be doing PS Legs Standing, Abs, and 30 min Interval Run 1:1. I did the GS CT Premix Superset on Saturday, and I really enjoyed it. Went heavy on the dumbbell chest press (20 lbs.). It was only 31 mins. total with warm up and stretch. Going heavy really worked, and you don't have to do all 72 of those push ups.

The weekend really flew by but mostly running around alot. Yesterday we had a surprise party and then had to rush home for trick or treat. I have a little bit of a cold starting so didn't sleep too well. I picked up some cold stuff this morning so hope that helps me get over this quick.

I picked up a whole bunch of floor samples on Saturday and am totally confused on which one to go with. I feel bad going with vinyl but ceramic won't work because of the added depth. Still I want to pick something I like and can live with for a long time. I can't believe that a new (vinyl) bathroom floor is going to cost about $1000!

Jill - the pounds you are seeing might just be water weight. I think when you eat out you get more sodium and retain fluid. Glad you had a good time at the Dells and also are still enjoyinng the BOSU. I am sure it is happier being used rather than collecting dust.

Laurie - I look forward to hearing how your PS rotation goes. How will you use it? I just got this and like the length of these so would like to work out a rotation with these.


Remember BBs - Next Monday is the get together. Is is 6 or 6:30?

Today is a rest day for me. I was tired all weekend and got lots of sleep, but I was still tired this morning.

My weight also continues to creep up. I finally told my boyfriend about my weight issues so he can help me be more disciplined. He doesn't really understand why I worry about my weight or why I work out so much, because he can lose weight practically just by thinking about it, but he can be helpful by reminding me that I don't necessarily need to eat that cupcake. He only does that when I ask him to, so it's not like he critiques my eating habits — he just knows what my food triggers are when I'm trying to forget them :) Ugh! I hate having to think more about food. But not thinking about food is what made me gain weight, so I just need to make smarter choices.

I can't believe tomorrow is November already! My brother in Florida bought his plane ticket home for Thanksgiving, and he's thinking ahead to Christmas because flights are so expensive right now. The holidays will be here before we know it!

Jill, I'm glad you had fun at the Dells. Sounds like a fun weekend.

Laurie, excellent work on your dumbbell chest presses. I'm so impressed!

Marie, good luck finishing up your bathroom. Do you feel like the end is in sight?

We got back from Minneapolis on Saturday night. Only worked out once at the hotel. Otherwise, it was a vacation from working out and eating clean :). We walked a ton at Mall of America and IKEA so I didn't feel like a total slug. Plus, I lost count how many times I went up the stairs on the waterslides at Great Wolf. Howlin' Tornado was a blast! Yesterday I was lazy though. I raked leaves for an hour and a half and planned on working out but felt more like watching Survivor and The Apprentice. This morning I finally got my groove back and did HSC.

Jill - I worked out on the teadmill and elliptical at Great Wolf, too!:)

Marie - Have you considered using a decorator to help you pick your tile? I can give you the name of a good one. We used her when we remodeled our upstairs and are using her again for downstairs. She's great at picking out paint colors, carpet, lighting fixtures, furniture, etc. and gives you tons of ideas. She charges about $65 an hour but it's money well spent IMO. What I really like about her is she knows how to decorate for pets and loves a bargain.

Good evening ladies. Is everyone out trick or treating? lol. Ours was Saturday so I missed it, but my older son is in Elkhorn handing out candy (aka scary the little kids) with a friend.

Laurie-it sounds like you're embarking on yet another tough rotation. I wish I had your determination! I just can't seem to get my mojo back..

Marie-I do know that most of what I put on will be gone in a few days. I tend to balloon up when I eat a lot of carbs, and yes, those restaurant meals are sodium-laden for sure. I hear you on the cost of vinyl. I did my kitchen floor a few years ago and it was $1,600. I was stunned. But it's beautiful. It really looks like ceramic--my sister was totally fooled lol. Good luck choosing-I know it's difficult.

Ellen-making the right choice is no fun most of the time lol. I can really relate to your struggles, especially the last few months. I'm kind of embarassed for you (well those that are going) guys to see how much I've gained on Monday! :-(

Jedi-way to go on the double workouts. Wow!!

Sue-I loved that Howlin' Tornado too. What fun! I was so surprised that it wasn't that crowded. We didn't have to wait at all really for the rides, except for the HT and that was only about 10 minutes. What a fun water ride!! I made my younger son (autistic) go on one of the easy rides and he was terrified. He spent the majority of his time in the 3" pool where the water shoots out of the floor. My other son's gf didn't want to get her hair wet, so she and her sister sat there and watched him while me and DS went on rides. GIRLS!!!! Honestly! Her mom said " do you really think Taylor won't like you if he sees you with wet hair". Geez louise! She doesn't even wear makeup that I noticed so what's the big deal!? But I had fun hanging with my kid. :)

I only managed 30 minutes walking on the treadmill tonight. But it's better than nothing. I really didn't feel like anything. It was crazy busy at the office today with my boss returing from a week's vacation.

Jill - That is so funny what you wrote about your son's gf not wanting to get her hair wet. Funny because I was like that when I was younger, too! There was NO WAY I'd let a guy I was interested in or just started dating see me in wet hair or (gasp) no makeup! :eek: Happy to say that I've reached the stage of my life where I don't give a rat's behind what I look like at times. LOL
