Hi BBs,
I am off today but up early and did Turbo Jam Cardio Party. Some pixelation problems with it but will check the last 2 I haven't done yet before contacting Amber at BB. We have a wedding to go to tonight.

Jill - 9/28 should work ok for me. And February is a long way off so don't be worrying about that now. I spent my 40th with a female friend in Cancun. Laying on the beach sipping a margarita with a friend was a nice way to spend the day. But if nothing better comes along, I will meet you at Tumbleweeds and we can celebrate your day with a margarita or two or..... I had many times alone (including holidays) between my divorce (1985) and getting re-married (2000). I came to prefer being alone than being with someone just for the sake of having a date on a Sat night or a guy in my life that wasn't right for me. The only single guys I know are older - but they are very stable. :) You are beautiful, fun and nice so there are lots of guys that will be thrilled to meet you. Are there any singles groups out by you? What about Parents without Partners? I knew someone that belonged and they had lots of group activities (bowling leagues, dances, etc).

I am anxious to see the pre-order prices! Hope she has more details too - like if there will be pre-mixes and an approximate date. Since she is releasing a few at a time and has this company behind her, maybe the time from pre-order to having the workouts in our hot little hands won't be so long.

So glad it is Friday. Tomorrow is the first sleep late on a Saturday I have had since July. I'm more excited about that than anything else. Well I'm excited about the pre-sale also. The workouts look great. Like Jill said I don't like spending the money so far in advance of getting the DVD's, but I WANT them. :D

Today will be a run on the treadmill, or MIC that I was suppose to do on Wednesday! We will see. I may split it up because I need to bring my DD to swim practice also.

Jill, I would love to do a get together again. But that date will not work for me. We are going on vacation the 26th. Mickey Mouse here we come. I have never been to Disney, I know I lived a sheltered life. :D A puppy hey! We also lost our dog to cancer about 3 years ago. And we have not been able to bring another one into our lives. The crate is the best advice I can give. And block off as many doorways that lead into carpeted areas as possible.

Okay maybe we should plan a get together further out so more people can come? Do Wednesday nights work okay for most? Wed/Thur is always good for me, every other week.

Marie, I'm not really "worrying". I don't really celebrate my birthday anyway. February is probably the worst work month of the year for me because of taxes. I'm always too busy working to care. But I will try enjoy my last few months in the 30s lol. It will be quite awhile before I am looking to meet anyone. I want to be single. I have never been alone more than 6 weeks of my adult life and I want to just spend as much time with my kids as possible. My son only has 3 more years at home and I know it's going to fly by.

Laurie-have fun at Disney! Are you staying on the grounds? My older son and I went all by ourselves when he was 11 and had such a great time. It was a really fun mom/son trip. My younger son would have hated it-he's autistic and the noise and activity level would have been too much for him. But we had such fun! I will def. crate my dog!

Oh oh, the presale is on already! I'm going to order....
 
Good morning,

I slept in today; my bed was too comfortable to leave until I absolutely had to! My plan is to do the GS upper body premixes then GS legs in its entirety after work if my motivation is still high. This has been an exhausting week.

I was happy to see the low preorder price on the new DVDs. I had prepared myself for more than $100. I added on the two newer DVDs too, since I've read such great reviews of them. And now the wait begins :)

Jill - Glad to see you back posting. You have the right attitude. Enjoy your time with your son before you get into another relationship. And you're getting a PUPPY! How exciting. Loved the website you linked to. My daughter and I spent a little time looking at all the cats. I just want to adopt them all! Any of those dates work for them except 11/23 & 11/24 (Thanksgiving).

Laurie - We went to Disneyworld last year and stayed on the grounds. We did so much walking and standing in lines my feet tingled at the end of the day. The Animal Kingdom Safari is a must-see.

Marie - Other than the pixelation problem, do you like the new Turbojams? I'm still on the fence about this one. You're so lucky to have the day off. My afternoon is going to be very, very slow I'm afraid.

Well, I couldn't help myself and pre-ordered all 4 new workouts this morning. Hope to get these in time for Christmas.

Did KPC this morning. I have to admit I didn't really like this one at first. The hammer punch lunges were awkward and the combos were tough with all the jumping kicks. Really enjoyed myself this morning though which is good considering the boxing workouts Cathe is coming out with next.

Hi Ellen and Sue. I also ordered all 4. Can't resist that price.

I FINALLY worked out. I hope I can get out of this exercise slump before I lose all my cardio stamina and muscle! I only did Basic Step and Stability Ball Abs and I feel so tired. My eating has been suffering, though; I know I'm not eating enough.

Hopefully the puppy will cheer me up. :)

Can't wait to hear about your puppy! Did you officially decide to adopt him? If so, congrats. It's always exciting, I think :) If we had a big back yard, we'd probably adopt another one ourselves.

Ellen, I'm pretty sure. He will be at a Petsmart in Madison tomorrow and I'm going to meet him. The shelter lady is going to get back to me on when he's scheduled for neutering. If it's the beginning of the week, I will pick him up after. If it's not till later, I might bring him home tomorrow. I'm debating.....Monday is the day that I work at our office and am gone about 7 hours. I don't know if I want to leave him home alone on his second day here. He's okay in the crate, but I don't want him to think he's abandoned right away!

What do you dog-owners think? He's 4 months old.
 
Good prices on those pre-orders so I will be caving too! And getting all 4, of course.

Sue - I like the TurboJams but in Cardio Party she doesn't que very consistently. I'm sure doing it more would make it easier to catch on. Let me know if you want to borrow one sometime!

Jill - Those dates should work for me. I think my only scheduled thing in October so far is on a Monday except maybe a haircut. Too lazy to run and check the calendar now. I am glad you are feeling OK with just being alone for awhile - or at least without a man. But those organizations might have alot of group activities - and maybe bowling. Glad you felt good enough to exercise today. Let us know about the puppy. Even pictures of puppies make me feel good. Although Muggs was quite the hyper puppy but that was only a short time. We bought him on a Saturday and Monday he went into his crate. He adapted very well.
 
Hi Guys!,
I'm free for the 28th!! It would be quite a long trip though. But I will be there in spirit. I decided not to exercise today. I have worked out 5 in a row and my neck is feeling it. I think I will take the rest of the weekend off. I might throw in a quick circuit tomorrow, but my neck has felt so good with the injection, I don't want to blow it. Today I'm a little stiff.:-(

Laurie, I went to Disney a couple years ago about the exact same time and there were hardly any lines. It rained alot, but it was still fun. I hope you have good weather.

Gals those presale dvds are tempting. Right up my alley and the price is sooo tempting, but we have 2 houses right now and buying groceries has been tough. I'm sure my husband will have a fit. He'll say wait till Christmas. I hope our house sells soon. I need to get out more on the weekends.

Everyone has been busy today! Just got done with some reports for the big cheese! Any of the Thursday dates are good for me except for 11/24. I will be eating my turkey that day! :D My youngest has swimming lessons on Wednesdays!

Still have to do my picks for my football pool. How many points should I put on the Packers? x(

I also ordered all 4 of those DVD's. Couldn't resist. Cathe is going to be very busy in the next year with all the work outs she has listed.

Hi Jill,

When we've had puppies, we've usually started them in crates right away. They didn't necessarily like it at first, but they adjusted. Three of the dogs we've had, in fact, learned to see their crates as "their" little house and would go in there to sleep even when we were home. We'd just put down a couple of old towels and blankets and have treats in there for them for comfort.

It'll probably be hard for you to leave him alone at first because he'll cry and make a fuss, but he'll get used to it. Dogs are very routine-oriented animals. Plus, I know we always think when we leave our dogs for a few days that they're giving us sad faces and missing us as we walk out the door, but we're convinced that they have no concept of time :) They celebrate when we come home if we've been gone for hours, days or just been sitting on the porch for five minutes :) That's the beauty of having dogs.

Also, keep in mind that if you pick him up after neutering, he'll probably be pretty dopey and sleepy, so if you have to go to work he may not notice if you're gone. I think my dog slept almost constantly for about three days after she was spayed, but then she was fine.

Thanks for the dog advice, Ellen. I will remember it. I am going to meet him at Petsmart tomorrow. He will be neutered on Monday, and I'll be picking him up on Tuesday. :) Can't wait!
