Cathlete
Morning BB's,

Today will be GS Legs Premix #1 and cario only from Power Cirucit. Tomorrow will be a 5 Mile Run and GS Legs Floorwork. Sunday will be a rest day.

Tomorrow my oldest DD has a swim meet so that will take up most of our day. She will be swimming the 50 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast and 200 IM. She was mad at me for signing her up for the IM, but I told her she just needed to do her best. I don't care if she wins. She wasn't so mad at me after that. :)

Today I'm suppose to be going out to lunch and then we are having a team building event. Frisbee Golf????? This should be interesting. I don't like golf and I can't throw a frisbee.

Have a great day and weekend!

Laurie

Hi everybody,

Laurie, have fun with the Frisbee golf :) I have no idea what that would be like.

I was feeling guilty for not getting up to work out this morning, but I'm getting over it. I woke up at my usual time but just didn't feel like working out. We're leaving for Indiana right after work tonight, so I won't work out all weekend. I'm sure we'll walk a lot tomorrow though... Notre Dame is such a pretty campus, and the weather is supposed to be nice.

Have a great weekend!

Ellen

Ellen - As hard as you workout, DON'T feel guilty for taking a rest day!:)

Laurie - One of my co-workers and I were just mentioning to our boss this morning that we needed to go someplace warm like Miami for a "team-building activity" but she didn't buy it.;) Have fun playing frisbee golf! At least you have a nice day for it.

Marie - See my Lost synapsis below. (I might have gone a little overboard.) If anyone has anything to add or sees any errors, feel free to post.

Yesterday I was at a user group meeting at the BEAUTIFUL Franklin campus of NML. I'm a little envious of those who work there. Anyway, didn't get to post but I did a 4 mile jog yesterday. Today was PUB.

Have a great weekend everyone!

LOST SYNAPSIS:
A plane crashes on a supposedly deserted island 1000 miles off-course so chances of being rescued are nil. Soon after landing, some strange occurrences start happening: an unseen but very loud monster kills the pilot and chases some of them through the jungle, polar bears appear after a boy reads a comic book with polar bears in it, a man in a wheelchair on the airplane is mysteriously healed and can now walk, etc. Lately though, we haven't seen the monster, polar bears or wild boars that conveniently appeared when they started running out of food.

Sayid, a former member of the Iraq military takes off after torturing Sawyer (for good reason) and finds a mysterious cable, follows it and is captured by a french woman. This is the same french woman they hear on a mysterious radio transmission that has been looping for 20-some years. The french woman turns out to be a whacko and wants to know if Sayid is one of "The Others" and talks about whispers she hears in the jungle. Sayid escapes from the french woman and then we don't see her for a while. Later in the season, the french woman comes by to warn them "The Others" are coming and you must run, hide or DIE!

Through Locke's many escapades into the jungle, he and Boone discover a hatch. They dig around it and keep it secret at first from the other survivors. I'm not sure at what point they tell everyone about the hatch but after they hear about "The Others" coming, they decide to blow open the hatch with some dynamite they find on the island and hide in there.

Meanwhile, Jin, Michael and Sawyer build a raft in an effort to get rescued from the island. The raft is rigged with radar salvaged from the plane and when they see a boat come into range they signal with a flare gun. Little do they know, "The Others" are on board the boat and they kidnap Walt and blow up the raft. That's how season 1 ends - the hatch blown open but we don't know what's inside and the 3 men on the raft in the middle of the ocean left to die by "The Others".

Season 2: We find out a man named Desmond has been living inside the hatch for 3 years entering these cursed numbers every 108 minutes into a computer to prevent some catastrophe from happening (or maybe nothing at all). Supposedly the island is 1 of 6 scientific testing facilities and the island has some mysterious magnetic powers. Michael and Sawyer are washed onshore after their raft is destroyed and end up right back on the island! They find Jin right away who is tied up and running away from some people (The Others, perhaps?) We find out they're not The Others but the rest of the survivors of the plane crash from the rear part of the plane (plane was broken in 2 when it crashed). They started out with 23 but are down to only a handful now so the question is what happened to the rest of them? Rose's husband, Bernard, is one of the survivors from the rear of the plane.

Main Characters:
Jack - doctor and leader of the group
Kate - ex-con and love interest for Jack
Locke - the wheelchair guy who can now walk who seems to understand the secret of the island but hasn't shared this with anyone
Hurley (aka Hugo) - large guy who won the lottery playing the "cursed numbers" that must now be entered every 108 minutes to prevent the world coming to an end (or maybe nothing)
Rose - black woman who believes her husband who was in the rear of the plane is still alive
Claire - young Austrailian mother who delivered her baby on the island; a psychic warned her about not having the baby so we know there might be something special about the baby
Charlie - ex-member of a rock band who's fighting a heroin addiction made even more difficult because of a stash found in an airplane wreck (another wreck - not theirs) but only Charlie knows about the hidden drugs
Michael - black father who was forced to give up custody of his son, Walt; since the mother died he is now trying to get to know his son; he and Walt were both aboard the raft they tried to use to get off the island
Walt - Michael's son; kidnapped by "The Others" from aboard the raft
Jin - Korean husband to Soon Yi who doesn't speak any English but his wife does; was also onboard the raft
Soon Yi (I *think* that's her name) - Korean wife to Jin; was planning on leaving her husband before the plane crashed
Sayid - Iraqi hottie; he and Shannon have become an item
Shannon - spoiled, self-absorbed rich girl who sleeps with her half-brother, Boone, who was in love with her just to get him to do what she wants
Boone - rich half-brother to Shannon who died after an accident in the jungle
Sawyer - bad boy hottie with a criminal past; was also aboard the raft

There are a lot more subplots and background stories but this hopefully is enough to get you caught up.

Sue - Thanks for the detailed background info! That will definitely help. I can tell you are hooked.

Any thoughts on 11/21 (Monday night) for the next BB Get together? Also should we stick with Houlihan's since it seemed like a good location for those that attended the first get together.

I did a Karen Voight cardio workout this morning. Very tired this week and didn't sleep good a couple nights. BUT the weekend is here and hoping this one is not as insane as the past couple have been. A week from today Phase 2 of the bathroom begins. This should only take 3 days and then it will be just about all done - floor, window treatments, etc still to do but minor compared to everything else. The toilet and light fixture will be the only original things left unless they end up going for some reason.

Have a great weekend!

No workout today! Friday and Sunday will be my off days this week. Tomorrow I will do a circuit workout of some sort. Too soon to decide though.

I actually went to this health club down the road today to see if they were hiring aerobic instructors. The head trainer wants me to come back in a couple hours, after she's done teaching. Her body puts mine to shame. I can't believe I did that. I don't know if I will go back. They said we have a top notch fitness facility. In other words, I better be good. I don't know if I should go back. Then again, what have I got to lose. It sure would be fun to teach once in awhile, but it may be too much pressure. I think I would get so nervous, my legs would shake and I would trip on the step and forget my routine. Oh this is too scary!

Have a good weekend everyone!

GO! You'll be fine and you could share all the things you learned from Cathe. Have you taught before? Just from knowing you, think you'd be great.

Hi all. I don't think I checked in yesterday-I was happy to get through Cardio & Weights. Yay! Today was an easier Firm one.

Tonight is Varsity football (go Trojans!) and tomorrow is getting the house cleaned and ready for my boys' joint family birthday party. I'm having about 30 people over for a cookout. Lots to do!

Laurie-LOL @ frisbee golf. I've never played. Don't really wanna. ha ha. So how was it?

Ellen-have a great time at the game tomorrow. I hope the nice weather holds for you. :)

Sue-I didn't know I had a fellow LOST addict here! I bought season one and have watched it three times already! I have also recorded the season two episodes and usually watch each 3-4 times before the next one. There are SO many questions!!

Marie-11/21 is fine for me. I just have to find out what time my older son will be home to babysit his younger brother. He'll have basketball by then. It seems like you've been remodeling for months--has it been that long?

Cynthia-I think it would be awesome for you to teach!! You know what to do----just pretend you're Cathe! And I can't believe the person you met puts "your body to shame". You are in GREAT shape!

See, Marie agreed. LOl

Have a fabulous weekend fit Badger Babes!!

11/21 works for me. Houlihan's is fine unless someone can think of something better. Let me dig out my Entertainment Book and see what other options we have in that area.

Sue

Wow, Cynthia. . .I didn't know you taught (or were thinking of teaching). That's really great. Yeah, don't let that lady intimidate you. You have a lot to offer.

Sue :)

Wow, Jill, maybe YOU should have written the synapsis!!ha ha Yeah, it's one of those shows you can watch over and over because you pick up little things each time. I like looking at different Lost forums and seeing what crazy theories people have about the island or the plot. For example, they're all really dead and are in purgatory. Weird, huh?

Sue

There are so many sites----I was really behind. I didn't watch it at all until the week before season 2 premiered, so I had to watch all of season one in a hurry! I spent about 4 hours surfing websites one day!! (That's right-I have no life lol)
