Morning BB's,

Today is MIC plus Seg#2 of Coremax. TGIF everyone!

I have been reading the first book in the Chronicles of Narnia to my dd's. I read to chapter 10 yesterday and continued on reading it to myself. Now I want to read all of the books and see the movie of course. :+

My oldest DD told me yesterday that her swimming calms her down. Endorphines running through your body will do that too you, I'm thinking. :D I must say, once she is done with practice, she is a much different person to be around. In less than 3 months she turns into a teenager!

Found out last night that my 8yr old niece, who had an enlarged lymph node, had surgery to drain the lymph node. Apparently she had been scratched by a cat about two months ago and developed this infection. We are just thankful, at first you think the worst. Then my sister tells me that her 13yr old dd was playing Basketball and ran into the bleachers. Now her two front teeth are no longer big!! Do these kind of things really happen in three's?

Enough yapping for now!

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hello BB's! Today is IMAX 2. I love the music in this one so I am looking forward to it.
Laurie, we took our children to see Narnia over Christmas break and we loved it. We haven't read the book yet though. However seeing the movie made us want to go get it! I had watched the making of the movie a little while ago and it was really neat all the work they put into it.
Hope you all have a good Friday!:) Susan

Hi Badgers!

Laurie-thank goodness your neice is okay!

Susan-narnia is on my list of "must see" movies, too. :)

I'm not sure what's on tap today. Christy planned to come over but her leg was having some weird pain, like sciatica or something. Haven't heard from her today. We have really been hitting it hard and I'm thinking maybe we should do a rest day. So far this year we have done:

1/1 Cardio Coach
1/2 Ab Sculpt and Complete Body Sculpting BSS3
1/3 Cathe Push Pull
1/4 KPC and stability ball abs
1/5 Body Fusion

I think if she comes over today we will just do a short 30 minute cardio coach. I could use a day of no impact! Then tomorrow I'll be doing my first new Tracie Long workout. They're arriving today!
Have a great day!
Jill

Just a short strength workout this morning and tomorrow another spin class.

Jill - You have been hitting it hard. If Christy hasn't been exercising regularly that might be too much, too soon. Maybe some stretching after the cardio would help. The reviews of the TLTs have been great. You will have to let us know what you think.

Laurie - glad your niece is OK.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Good morning,

No workout yet; I felt glued to my bed this morning. Last night I ran three miles and did just a couple of weight machines at the gym. Today I think I might do Circuit Max doing only legs on the weight portions, then add on PUB up only. Or I might do the Gauntlet or Hardcore Extreme #1, which I just did for the first time recently and really enjoyed. I'm indecisive today. Tomorrow I'll probably go running again.

Have a great weekend!

Ellen

Good afternoon, BBs!

Laurie - Glad your nieces are okay. DH took the kids to see Narnia over Christmas vacation while I stayed home to clean.x( I'm thinking about seeing it myself.

Jill - Are the TLTs considered more intermediate? I read they were low impact and lighter weights with more emphasis on functional fitness. Wondering if I'd be interested in these for lighter days.

Wasn't sure if I was feeling up to attempting MIC this morning after being paged at 3:15 a.m. }( I did it though and I'm proud of myself. Coremax #2 tonight.

DH and DD have camp this weekend for Indian Princesses so it's just me and DS. He's recently discovered Monopoly so I imagine we'll be spending some time playing that this weekend.

Sure hope Cathe heals quickly. It's gotta hurt.

Sue

Happy Friday, y'all

How can a short work week seem so looooong? Jeez.

I totally wussed out on working out last night. Was supposed to do PUB, but instead fell asleep while my son played a computer game.

Laurie - that's freaky about your niece! Jeez! I didn't know such a thing could happen from a cat scratch. Yikes. I hope she's OK.

Susan - IMAX2 is one of my favorites, too. Love the music also. Those genie hops are murder on my knees, though. I usually have to occupy myself with something else during those, even though they look like fun.

Jill - Wow, you've had great month of exercising. Sounds to me like a rest day would be great. You deserve a break. Maybe just preview the new Tracie Long's. That would make me at least FEEL like I had worked out! :)

Have a great weekend, everyone! - Sarah

RE: Happy Friday, y'all

Hello Everyone-

Today I started with Gym Style shoulders and moved on to Hardcore Extreme #1. The back is still stiff but I managed to get through most of it pretty pain free. It kills me to pick up a barbell so I put it up on my husband's shop bench so I don't have to lean over to pick it up. I know it's my SI joint and my PT sister gave me some exercises for it. I cannot just go to a PT, I need to get a referral from the doc first and I HATE that. I can't go to her because she is 3 hours away!

Laurie-Glad to hear your niece is OK-I have heard too many stories from my husband of how those swollen lymph nodes are "the worst" but more often than not, it is not the big "C" word.

Happy weekend to all-I will be at the great Pabst Farms YMCA in Oconomowoc at a 2 day swim meet with my daughters.

RE: Happy Friday, y'all

Hi all!! Sorry I don't have time to post much, but SUE I wanted to tell you about the TLTs. I posted a ? there, but haven't gotten any answers yet. However, someone else asked a similar ? and here is what Tracie herself said:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was really struggling in designing these. I wanted them to be challenging to the advanced but I didn't want even andvanced working so hard they lost their form and control of their core. So.......I tried to make them somehwere in the middle with beginner and advanced options, so they never get too easy. I hoped it worked.

Hi Everyone!

My last day in WI! I will say it is nice to see everyone, but I can't wait to see some sun! I'm glad we didn't have bad weather. I long for my own bed though. My neck is really sore this week. Shoot! I did exercise a couple days. SIL got Cathe's Target step & vids. On sale this week at Target for $47. It is a lousy step, only good for low impact. I added power moves though to break a sweat. This one is obviously a little warm up for Cathe. I will say you get your monies worth. I enjoyed the 3 weight workouts and am actually a little sore.

I also ordered 4 new dvds! Patrick's Body Design, Ready, Step, Go, Jari's Ripped and Christi's Cardio Collectibles. My Christmas present from my inlaws. I am so excited. I receive them Jan. 11th. Maybe this will help motivate my evening workouts.

I see Cathe has an injury which is slowing down production. Well as much as everyone is supporting her presale process, I think next time one might want not to announce things so early in the game. I don't understand what the hurry is. I am anxious to discover new people and think I have a pretty good Cathe collection for awhile.

I have enjoyed my stay here. I had alot of fun, but I will look more forward to coming back in July when it's hot as he** in AZ. and I long for greenery. I am ready for the warmth again and being able to open up windows.

I hope everyone had a great New Year! And welcome new Buff Badgers. Maybe some day I will be able to do a get together with all of you. Hopefully in July!

Good Workouts Everyone!

Cynthia
