Cathlete
Good Morning,

I am surprised to post first. I ran 6.5 miles on the treadmill in 60 min. I used Cathe's treadmill workout. I listened to CC#7. I did Jari Love RTTC yesterday and didn't do any workout on Sat.

Enjoyed the weekend at soccer. Didn't get much cleaning done but lots around the yard.

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend and are ready for the new week.

Have a great day.

Morning BB's,

Todays workout was 3m Run and Total Body Stretching #1. I still want to get 4DS Chest, Shoulders and Triceps in after dance class. Will see how I feel at that point. This is my last week with the 4DS, and then I'm giving myself a rest week. The rest week will consist of Yoga, KB and maybe Core Syn. CS is a good overall workout for the core. Saturday I was able to get in a beginner Ropesport workout (which was a good warm-up workout), 4DS Lower Body Weights, 4DS Back & Biceps and P90 AR200. Sundays workout was Lowmax. I also started my spring cleaning, and got the house aired out good yesterday.

Karen, That Cathe Treadmill workout is a good one. I will have to remember to do that one soon. We need to get out in our yard at some point to. I think that we have about 6 trees that need to be taken down, because they are dead. Just Box Elder trees, so no big deal. :D

Sue, Thanks for the info on how you will be using the Barry workouts. I was thinking of incorporating the cardio & TM workouts too. I know I liked the one that Joey did. It wasn't as hi impact as the one Barry does. :D

Susan, I do enjoy my TM when it is cold, rainy and snowing out. I like how you are doing your rotations. That way you get to do the workouts you really like.

Jill, Hope to see you back soon, and congrats on the new job! Talk to you when you are able to get back.

Have a great day ladies!

Laurie

Karen - You and Laurie are speed demons! 6.5 in an hour is pretty darn good. I think Laurie said she did 6 in an hour. I'm lucky to do 5. Of course now I'd have to build back up to that again. . . Glad you enjoyed your soccer games. It rained all day here on Saturday so I stayed inside and did mega laundry and vacuumed.

Laurie - I did that BBC cardio that Barry leads last night. Oh, my, my! Forgot how tough it was. }( IIRC, the one Joey leads is killer on the quad muscles. I ought to pull Core Syn out again. Maybe I'll take that one with me to Chicago next week. Is there equipment for that one? Can't remember it's been so long. . .

Hi, Jill! Good to hear from you. Sounds like an exciting new job. How are your kids doing?

I'm so sore today! Friday was a rest day but on Saturday I decided to torture myself my doing the 82 min. premix from KPC/Legs & Glutes. Later that day I did a 2 mile Leslie Sansone. (Nothing good on TV.) Yesterday was BBC Arms & Abs (weights and cardio) PLUS yardwork. Couldn't get out of bed this morning (tired AND sore) so will try to get a walk or something in tonight and do BBC Legs tomorrow. No Dojo tonight. Have a hair appt. instead. Hope to go Thursday or Friday this week because I'm gone all next week and then DS has his first baseball game the following Monday so I'll get really far behind if I don't go. Told DS & DD to take notes and show me what they learn tonight. :D

Have a GREAT day!

Sue

Wow, those are some tough workouts there Sue! Now wonder you're sore!I think you earned a little respite!

My weekend was closet cleaning! Glad that's done. Saturday I walked for 45mn and then did Pilaets Max. Burn. Sunday I did the elliptical for 45mn. Today I feel like doing Rythmic Step!:)

Karen and Laurie, you guys are doing so well with your running! You inspire me! Keep goin' strong!

Jill, nice to see you posting again. Hope you enjoy your new job! Let us know how you're doing-

Susan

Hi all,

Today I plan on doing 4DS C/B/L/abs and some cardio. I am thinking run but maybe something more fun.

Laurie, you got some great workouts in over the weekend also. Do you just use a regular jumprope for the ropesport workout? I have never tried Core syn. I'll have to give it a go.

Susan, Wow!, you really kicked butt over the weekend. It sounds like you are going to be very busy with your trip and baseball season right around the corner. Hope your kids have good memories to remember the Dojo moves you need to know.

Susan, I have to get some pilates tapes. I need a good cheap one you can get at Walmart or something. Glad you got your closets cleaned. I have that to do yet. Nice elliptical workouts. You did one of my favorite step workouts.

Jill, nice to hear from you again. Congrats on the new job. I hope this will make your life easier.

Have a great day.

Susan - You sure do a great job cross training. Thought you'd enjoy hearing about a guy at work who just got an elliptical. It's in his basement with very low ceilings and he's a pretty tall guy so when he gets going really fast he hits his head on the ceiling if he's not careful! Hopefully it'll knock some sense into him. :D LOL Just kidding - I've worked with him for years and we tease each other a lot. He can be a pain in the rear though and sometimes we argue but he's a good guy.

Karen - I think you should do Cardio & Weights cardio for something fun! I remember you like that one. :)

Got home late from my hair appt. last night and didn't feel like doing anything so no workouts yesterday. This morning I did BBC Legs (just the weights part). Tonight I'll do the BBC Legs cardio.

I'm in a real funk lately. SAP, our new software package, is so incredibly complicated to learn and frustrating! Even when I get something to work, I don't get that feeling of achievement or satisfaction. And it's only going to get harder. NOT looking forward to my class next week because the consultant I'm working with this week says I'll be real lost because I don't have enough experience yet. I hate feeling stupid. Gotta get telling myself "This too shall pass". I think I need some endorphins - STAT! LOL

Have a good day.

Sue

HI there!

Karen, I agree with Sue, Cardio & Weights is a good fun workout! I think I even put it on my list this week!

Sue, don't get down about the work stuff. You'll get the hang of it anf be all the wiser. As for the guy hitting his head? My DH sometimes has the same problem. His head just skims the ceiling!

Today is Bootcamp for me again. I am adding in this one every week until Summer gets here. It's a good butt kicker!

Hi Laurie! Hi Jill!!

Morning BB's,

This mornings run had a bit of excitment. Well probably not in a good way. x( I got to a portion of a road where there isn't much of a shoulder. It basically is a ditch. This car isn't moving over, so I had to stop my run to stand in the ditch. x( Overall the run felt good, I managed to get up this BIG hill without stopping. :7 So that means that my endurance is improving. I also did 4DS Back & Biceps plus 4DS LIS Core.

Oh and all of this weekend I ate clean, so that was another bonus. :D Maybe that is why I was able to run up that hill so well. :D Which reminds me, if any of you get the Oxy June issue. There is a recipe in there for No Cook Chicken Burritos. Talk about a fast and simple thing to make. My DD15 put salsa on hers to spice it up, and DD11 doesn't like the spice so she didn't put anything on hers. I also had cheese for the DD's vs. mine without. If anyone wants the recipe just let me know, I will post it.

Sue, Core Syn can be used with no equipment. One of the exercisers does use the band, which is an easy thing to pack. I think that would be a good idea to bring that one along with you. The BBC with Joey really does work the quads and the calf muscles too. Maybe it is because he is so cute, I don't mind doing that one. :7 :7 You must have been trying to kill yourself this weekend with that L&G workout. :7 :7 Did the kids take good notes for you last night? :D LOL about the guy hitting his head on the ceiling. I really never thought how much room you would need for an elliptical. Hope your training goes better than you expect.

Susan, WTG on getting the closet cleaning done. That is one thing in my spring cleaning that I didn't even think of. Wonder why? Rythmic Step sounds like a goodie. I haven't done that one in such a long time that I probably wouldn't remember what to do. :7 :7 Have a great time with BC again. Get through those Terminator Climbers, and the rest of the workout is smooth sailing.

Karen, My jumprope needs to be replaced, the bearings in the handle are all rusty. Or maybe that is just a good excuse to get a better rope. :7 :7 The rope that I want to get looks like the ones we had when we where in school. The ones that have the little plastic beads. But of course the handles are more comfortable. I'm another one for the Cardio & Weights. Love that one.

Ok I think I have chatted enough today. :7 :7

Laurie

Thanks for the recommendations girls. Sorry Sue for putting Susan twice. I guess I was not quite awake. It was to late and my girlfriend bought me the Amy hi/lo knockout dvd so I did the kickbox portion of that one today. I also changed everything up and did Tracey S. parts upper and lower. I guess I just can't make up my mind what to do. My DH took out the bike for the boys so I can't do spinning anymore inside. I do really like it.

Sue don't stress over not getting it right away, you are a smart lady and you are right this to shall pass. I love that line.

Laurie, how far did you end up running this morning? What time do you need to get up to run before work?

Susan, BC has a dread factor for me, I don't know why. I'll have to get over it because it's a good workout.

Off to my daughters track meet today. Enjoy the wonderful day.

Good Morning,

Today my workout will be Atletic Step Jam or Rhythmic Step. Which one should I do. If I have any energy left I'll add in a mile run approved by my chiro or part of another step video.

Went for a walk with DD5 on the trails yesterday and rode with her 3 miles around our park. The track meet was fun to watch even though it was raining. I guess that's why they made umbrellas.

Have a great all.

Morning BB's,

Todays workout was a 3m run. Will try to get in an hour yoga later today. Was able to get the run in before it started to rain. Apparently Cami whines the whole time I am gone, guess I will have to try her out again for running. Maybe next week.

DH is headed home from Florida today. Can't wait to see him, but he is going to be working every day until Sunday. Just thankful that he has Mothers Day off. :D He said that he is going to take some days off next week. Will be nice to have him around for a while. :D

Karen, I guess I forgot to post what I actually did run. It was 3 miles. I wake up at 5am, and take Cami for a 1/2hr walk. Then I give myself 1 hour to exercise, before I get ready for work. It really is nice now that the sun is getting out earlier. I can actually run outside when it isn't so hot out. That will be nice this summer. So what was the workout of choice for you today? I love watching the meets too, but it sure does seem to take a long time. :7 :7 My DH says he likes the Cross Country meets better, because those only took 15 min or so to finish. :7 :7

Susan, How did BC go yesterday?

Sue, Does the hotel you are staying in have a decent exercise room?

Have a great day!

Laurie

Karen - Too bad you're losing your spinning bike. You sure do roll with the flow. I'd put up a major stink! Guess I'm spoiled and used to DH letting me have my way (most of the time anyway ;-)). Have you done Athletic Step Jam before? Let me know how you like it.

Laurie - According to their website they have "state-of-the-art" cardio and strength equipment. Ha! Let's hope that's true. I've stayed at hotels that make this claim only to find out their equipment is 20 years old or broken. It's a different hotel than last time. Some co-workers stayed there a couple of weeks ago and said it's very nice but none of them exercise so I doubt they even checked it out. I bring a portable dvd player with dvds that don't involve too much jumping ;-) so I can do them in my room.

Hi, Susan!

Did BBC Legs cardio last night + Rhythmic Step Challenge. This morning was BBC Chest & Abs weights. Will do the cardio tonight. Should probably kick the bag a little bit, too since it's been almost a week since I've been at Dojo. It's a good cardio workout, too.
Have a good day.

Sue

Hi again,

Laurie, glad DH will come home soon and be there on Mother's Day. Is it light enough to run at 5:00am?

Susan, This was the first time I did Athletic Step Jam, it was a good steady state workout. It did remind me of RS a tad but I like the music in RS better. The ball part was o.k. and I liked the abs.

Hi all!

Today is the elliptical for 45mn.

I took Ruby to the vet yesterday for her shots and stuff. The vet said "Her eyes are perfect. Her teeth are perfect. Her coat is beautiful. Her weight is right on. The woman in the house must be the one taking care of her!" How right he is. If my DH took care of her, she'd be an overweight, lazy girl!

Laurie, glad your DH is coming home! It'll be good to have him around for Mother's Day!

Karen, you are doing really well with your workouts! You sure are fit!

Sue, your workout sounds fun! Hope work is going better for you!

Susan

Sorry again Sue, I meant to direct the answer to the ASJ to you, boy I am losing it.

Susan, I got it right, glad Ruby is doing so well. She is lucky to have you.

Take care. Off to take DD to a job interview, hit the chiro and get DD and DS to soccer practice. I guess we will be eating late.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Karen - Don't worry about it. :7 Susan will probably agree that we're used to hearing our name in all sorts of ways (Sue, Susan, Suzanne, Susannah, Suzy-Q). Maybe I should start going by my middle name, Claire (like the girl on "Lost") No, that'd probably confuse ME! :+

Sue

Susan - That's so funny what your vet said! LOL Ruby is very lucky to have such a good "mommy". So you like the idea of kicking something, eh? }( :+ It's good to take out your frustrations. I'll pretend the bag is the person who designed SAP. :D

Sue

P.S. Work still stinks but at least I have a better attitude today. :D

Morning BB's,

Today I am doing Tracey's new circuit and a 3 mile run. It will have to wait a while since the inspector is going to check the work the men that were weatherproofing our house did. I hope it doesn't take long.

Have a wonderful day.

Hi Karen, hope you have a nice run. The sun is shining bright here!

Today is Pilates Adv. Power Sculpting plus my walk.

Hope you all enjoy the day ahead!

Susan

Morning BB's,

Todays workout was 4DS Lower Body Weights and CTX KB.

DH is home, and hopefully life will get back to normal. This morning wasn't to normal. LOL DD15 called from school saying she neede a sports bra dropped off at school. So the one day I thought I could get to work a little earlier didn't happen. :D And I have to pick Cami up from doggy daycare, so that will make me later to get home. x( Life goes on though. :D

Sue, Oh that is right you have the bag at home. Have you been using it with some of your workouts? Or just to practice for dojo? When I was playing sports the girls used to call each other by their Mothers first name. No one ever called me by my Moms name, because it is LaVerne!

Karen, The sun is just coming up at around 5am, so when I am done walking the dog the sun is up for people to see me. Hope you didn't hit the chiro to hard. LOL! I just had to say that, because it struck my funny bone. LOL! Maybe sometimes you do want to hit your chiro though. How did DD's job interview go?

Susan, Glad to here that Ruby is so healthy. I am also the one that takes care of Cami too. So hopefully when she goes to the vet, she will get just as good of a report. :D

Have a great day!

Laurie
