Cathlete
Morning BB's,

Today will be CTX Shoulders/Biceps/Triceps and Tae Bo Get Ripped. I didn't do Power Hour yesterday. I'm having a minor cold, and didn't feel well yesterday. Must be from the rain we had to endure on Monday. x( I feel ok this morning, will see how I feel after I get home. I may just end up blowing my nose through the whole workout. :D

Sue, the only place at the faire with a nice sand base is the joust. They didn't have any problems with the wet. But apparently someone stole some of their props and armour last week. Very sad! Don't know what some people are thinking!

Have a great day!

Laurie

Laurie - That is sad that someone would steal those things! Wonder how they were able to sneak them out? They don't look like the wooden swords and shields my kids bought so you think someone would have noticed. I think you should take another rest day if you're still feeling crummy tonight or maybe do something lighter?

This morning I did a 6 miler outside. Running is not easy for me so I'm happy to hit this milestone.

Where is everybody today?

Sue

I'm here - just late.

Sue - 6 miles is great!

Slept in this morning. :( Last night was the Jazzercise class and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a good workout and very professional - not like my Rec Dept experience. I plan to go Tues nights and Sat mornings although I can't this Saturday.

Hi BB's

Glad to see you are all still around. I remember when this check in started. It seemed like there were more people. Did you guys ever get together around Waukesha area? Is that where you are all from?

Laurie, sorry you are not feeling well. I hope it passes soon and you get your workout in without using all the tissues.

Marie, glad you found a class you like. Is jazzercise like a step or hi lo class? It may even be something totally different. Where do you workout when you are not at home?

Sue, I am impressed with 6 miles. I have a hard time running too. Maybe good shoes would help my knees. I would like to start running, I see it on a lot of rotations, but just don't seem to be able to do what they call for. How long did it take you to work up to that many miles?

Today I did GS back, biceps, shoulders and coremax #3 with a HSA warmup cardio premix before the weights. It sure has been nice here lately. I love fall.

Karen

Karen - It's hard to say how long it took me to work up to 6 miles since I'm a very inconsistent "runner" (more of a jogger). When the weather gets cold I usually wimp out and do step, kickbox or hi/lo at home instead since I don't have a treadmill and very rarely make it to the Y. Basically, I feeI like I'm starting over every spring.:-( I use the walk/jog approach where I start out walking for about 5 minutes and then start slowly jogging. Then I jog until I feel winded, recover a bit by walking and start jogging again when my HR has recovered. Then repeat over and over. I've gotten to the point where I jog the whole way except during my warmup, cooldown and everytime I reach this really steep hill for about 3-4 houses:).

Laurie runs a lot so you could get advice from her. She has a treadmill so she runs year-round I believe.

I'm sure you told us already but where do you live? Yes, the Waukesha group has had 3 GTGs so far - most recently in July when Cynthia (Fab40) was visiting from Arizona where she lives now.

Sue

I live in Rice Lake, way up about 1 hour north of Eau Claire.

I don't have a treadmill either so weather is always a factor. Do you see results running or do you just do it because you like it?

Have a great rest of the day.
