Cathlete
Hello ladies and Happy Monday.

This weekend was really nice. I did Step,Jump & Pump on Saturday after walking the dog for an hour. Then yesterday I mowed the lawn and did other yard work then had a good looonnngg stretching session for an hour.

Today will be Cardio Kicks. I haven't done this one in a bit and I miss it!

Have a great day and stay strong! Susan

Morning BB's,

Today will be PS Back/Chest/Shoulders/Biceps/Triceps.

Along with the workouts that I mentioned on Friday, I cleaned some of my poor neglected house. If my children and DH don't help keep this clean, I may just have to protest!!! }( I think they are all running a little scared, because I'm cleaning up too well! The recyle bin is really full this week.

Susan, I love cardio kicks also. I really like the drills at the end.

Karen, How was the race? It was sunny down here yesterday, but COLD with the wind. Your question from Friday, I do 5 days a week of cardio.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Good Morning BB's

Susan, sounds like you got all your yard work done. Do you have a good size yard? I love cardio kicks. I haven't done that one in a while either.

Laurie, I get those areas of neglect too. Lots of them. When everyone returns home, they will have nothing left, but the garbage will be full. Just kidding.

My race went well. I did 4 miles in 29:35. They changed it and said because it was on trails it was four instead of 3.1 miles. I got first in my age group 40-49 and finished 4th overall out of 18 people. There were only 4 people in my age group. My knee really hurts especially the back. I probably won't run anymore. One of my sons placed 5th in his mountain bike race and also got a medal. It was a fight to the finish for both of my boys in the same age group. One got a medal, the other didn't. That's racing.

Hi to all that come after. Have great workouts.

Hi girls!

Susan, I am going to be doing yardwork this week as well. Kind of winter-prep stuff. Have to pull out all the dead flowers sniff sniff.

Laurie, it's hard to keep up with the cleaning! My standards have been lowered because I've been spending so much time on redecorating. It would be worse if my boys were here full time lol.

Karen, way to go placing first in your age group!!! Sorry about your knee, though. Is that a normal thing after the race that gets better?

I spent 5 hours assembling things yesterday! I bought 2 chairs from the Ty Pennington collection at Sears on Saturday. I have turned my formal dining room into a sitting area. Here's a pic:

I'm debating on the ottoman. I will either get rid of it or get one more to match, but I'm afraid it's looking too cluttered. I still have to hang the curtains obviously, which pretty much match the chairs.

Then I spent 3 hours alone on a computer armoire. I didn't take a pic yet. It's a black oak looking armoir thing with two doors in the front. Looks much better than the crummy old desk we had and since it's right in the kitchen/family room area it makes a huge difference. Of course the stupid doors won't line up evenly! I'm so mad! I've tried and tried and there is about 1/2" gap at the top although they meet at the bottom. I can't figure it out. I'm going to have to call the company I guess (Sauder).

No workouts for me lately-still nursing my ankle. :)
Jill

Jill, I like what you did! I like the ottoman also but 2 may be too much. Sorry to hear that armoire is being a pain. It could be a manufacturing error.

Take care of that ankle! Susan

I think you're right Susan. There's not much room there obviously.

Oh and picture it with the wood flooring that's going in. I have to wait until November cuz the guy that does stuff for me for cheap is booked up until then. I still haven't decided on what I want. On one hand people say it should match the floorboards. On the other hand, people say it doesn't matter and I should go for a darker color. Oy. Decisions!

Jill, You must be very handy. Thats neat you are able to put everything together by yourself. It seems doors on anything are always a problem. I hope you figure it out. Everything looks great. I hope you ankle feels better soon. I had this knee problem a while and I have never raced before so I don't know if will get any better. I probably will end going to the doctor forit. I tried the chiro, but I don't think it helped. Who knows. Lifes good.

Karen, I didn't know a chiro could help with a knee. An ortho doctor can probably give you some strengthening exercises. Thanks for the compliment! My mom and I were laughing last night (she was over for dinner). I never thought I'd be doing stuff like this. But I am single and happy that way and don't want to have a boyfriend just to put things together for me lol.

Here's a before picture, just for giggles. What a difference! I've transformed from country-ish to contemporary. I'm so happy with the changes! The coffee table on the right is one I painted black.

I forgot to tell you guys---I caved and ordered from the presale! I only ordered Low Impact Circuit though. But it sounds really good. Now if I can just keep my ankle and back healthy and get back to the workouts, I might be ready for it by the time it comes. Is there any word on shipping dates yet?
Jill

Jill - They are estimating somewhere between October 10-21 for shipping but it depends how quickly Sony can get the DVDs replicated. I love your new sitting room. We're converting our house from country to a more contemporary look, too. It makes the house feel so much newer doesn't it?

Karen - You did awesome in your race! Do you think the trail running had anything to do with your knee pain? I think you said you did your training on trails so maybe it was something that's been slowly building? The last time I ran on a trail was in college so I'm no expert. And my young knees had no problems then. :)

Saturday was a rest day for me. Sunday was Circuit Max. I should have helped with yard work yesterday but I had to go in to work for 4 hours to do some upgrades and just didn't feel like moving my butt off the couch yesterday afternoon. I should have napped but didn't. This morning I jogged 3 miles (yep, in the cold  ) and did Boot Camp upper premix and core only premix.

Have a great day!

Sue

Sue, thanks for the dates. And yes, I feel like I have a brand new house like I wanted, but I didn't have to go through the hassle of moving. And because I had my house for sale, everything is neat (closets and basement) and cleaned out!

Hey Susan, does your last name start with Applexxxx? I just got an email from a Susan Applexxxx and I don't want to open it without knowing because there is an attachment.

No that is not me! Mine starts with a "Z".

I have been getting similar e-mails from people named, Janet, Rachel etc... I just dump them right away.
