BUFF BADGERS 7/30 - 8/3

Heartymax - I just did Disc 26 the other day. Great workout! I didn't think to sub tuck jumps with jumping on the step. I did about half of them and bounced in place for the rest. Great news on your cholesterol! I have to have mine tested soon for work so I'm hoping the numbers are as good as they were in February at my doctor's.

Laurie - We have 2 colleges left to look at - UW-Milwaukee and Marquette. Marquette is pretty much out of the question unless she gets a great scholarship or we win the lottery. She is thinking about Electrical Engineering but that is based on her seeing some homework her ex-boyfriend's brother was working on and thought it looked like something she wanted to do. She really doesn't know what she wants to do but as long as she gets into a good Engineering/Science school, she'll have options. I didn't know Whitewater had a Entreprenerialship major. People are always getting married so wedding planning is a field with constant demand.

Brenda - It's scary thinking of DD living on her own only because I fear she doesn't realize all the little things I do for her. But I remember that I never did laundry before I went away to college and I managed just fine so I guess she will, too. At least she's had a couple trips away from home now to teach her a little independence. As far as decorating your wall, are you looking for something to put on the wall like pictures or a mural like you mentioned or something to fill up the space like maybe benches and shelves? What is the room used for now? Could you possibly take pictures and post online?

Well, I did it! Finished Couch to 5K this morning. Walked 5 min. to warm-up, jogged 35 min. and walked 5 min . to cool-down. With the cooler weather this morning and my music, it felt like the time flew by! I need to catch up on STS this weekend. I was off yesterday helping serve lunch for Band Camp and then busy the last 2 nights so no workout Tuesday-Thursday! :eek: My core is feeling neglected again.

Good Afternoon!!

This morning the leg and back were feeling pretty good so I did Cardio SuperSets with the Bonus Step portion. There was the one exercise she does in the plank position and we bring our leg out to the side, I had to modify those and do spiderman planks. That irritated my hip flexors too much. Man did it feel good to get the heart rate up there and burn some calories and sweat! :D

The rest of the day consisted of some of my normal weekend stuff (grocery shopping, cleaning parents house, some weeding in my veggie garden). I picked black berries this afternoon. I had quite a few of them. I will be giving some away because there are too many for DH and I to eat before they go bad. Besides, I have some friends that absolutely love them. This year they did really good. Some of them are a really nice size and they're nice and sweet. Yummy!! Nothing better than fresh fruit picked from your own yard.

Sue - As for my wall, I'm not certain. Either something to hang on the wall or a wall mural. I've always wanted a wall mural so I'm kind of stuck on that. I'm also open to other ideas too. Right now the basement isn't used for anything. By the time we're done it will be another family room basically. We'll have a fireplace in the corner and then we have a section that is notched out and we plan on putting a bar there. We have an exposed basement, so we can enter from our lower patio. Right now there is so much stuff in the way I don't know that I'd be able to get a good picture. I'll try or I might have to wait a little bit until some of the stuff gets moved out of the way.
