Good morning everyone,

Thought I'd post again, get this threat started, hope no one minds. Hopefully we can have a daily thread, and whoever is able to can just check in.

KPC this morning for me, man was I sweating! It's finally supposed to be cooler here today w/ less humidity.

Fitness Jedi, I still have to try Low Max but am looking forward to it!

Karen, how are you liking the August 2004 rotation? Are you seeing results in your lower body? I was thinking of trying that or a similar freestyle rotation. My lower half is definitely my problem area. I get so confused--I need to slim down my lower body but beef up my upper body. Should I be lifting heavy on top but do more freestyle type stuff for my lower body? Any input from anyone?

We should all meet up and have our own roadtrip one of these days!

That's all for now, better get to work.

I posted this in the first post:

Hello Fellow Badgers!

I usually do the daily check-in thread, but would be glad to join the BB group also. Great to see so many Wisconsin Cathe fans. Although I'm also not buff, I am working very hard to feel great! I live in Vernon, but we have a Waukesha address.

My workouts are when I get home or at night. I just can't seem to get my lazy body out of bed in the morning. Tonight I have planned S&H Legs and a run.

Have to add that I have done the Aug04 rotation. This is really great for the legs. I did the rotation for 12 weeks.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hello there Buff Badgers
Today I did IMAX2 and this after noon I will be doing Muscle Max. It is cool here today also, I actually have the A/C off at the moment. Daily post would bge great. I need to get more Cathe DVD's so I can do some of those rotations. Right now I am kind of doing my own thing but once I get some more I hope try some of Cathe's rotations. I hope all is well everyone around Wisconsin. We definately have to plan some kind of get together. See you all later.
Thea-you will love Low MAX...It really makes me sweat.

Good morning,
I hope everyone is having a good day so far. My alarm went off this morning at 5:15, and I promptly reset it for 7:15 — I just couldn't get up today. So my workout will be pushed back to tonight, which is always a challenge. I live with my boyfriend, my brother and two dogs, and my workout space is just in the living room. I usually have only about a half hour of exercise peace before the two boys come home from work and start walking around me, wanting to talk, etc. :) I don't like to be in the way, so I usually don't exercise as long at night as I would like to.

Anyway, I'm hoping to do Low Max and one of the Gym Styles, although that may change by the end of the day. I'm so glad to have this check-in... it forces me to be accountable. Plus, no one I know really understands why I work out the way I do, so it's great to come here and find out that other people really enjoy it just as much as me!

Good Morning Buff Badgers!

I'm not sure what I am going to do today. I'm so indesisive. I know that I am going to do a cardio, but which one??? Hmmmmm. I'm kinda feeling like IMAX 2 today. I don't get my workouts in till usually 8 pm, so I have a while to change my mind yet! LOL!

Hope you all have a fantastic day!

Hi girls, Today I did Imax 3. It is getting easier each time I do it. The June 2005 rotation was the perfect rotation for defining upper body and sculpting lower body. I got great results from this. Even my chiropractor asked if I lost weight. The answer was no, but I must look better. It is nice to have a daily check in. I also hope you get a chance to do lowmax. It is an awesome burner all around. The Aug 2004 rotation is frying my legs. The burn doesn't stop. Maybe to much legs for me.

Good afternoon, Buff Badgers! I'm going to "try" to checkin daily - we'll see how it goes.

Did MuscleMax this morning. I love the bicep work in this DVD. There's not a lot of it but it really gives me a good pump in my biceps. I'm on week 1 of the Hardcore Fat Loss Rotation. I plan to do this for 4 weeks and then maybe checkout the August 2004 or June 2005 rotatations. Anything that reduces the size of my lower body is a good thing ;-) as Martha Stewart used to say.

Yes, this cooler weather is a welcome relief.

Hey, Laurie! We're practically neighbors if you live in Vernon. I'm on the west side of Waukesha by Bethesda Elementary if you're familiar with Waukesha.

Sue

Hi Sue,

Our friends have two boys that have gone to Bethesda Elementary. What a small world! We went by that school when we where on our way to the fireworks at the county grounds on the 4th. My brother knows Waukesha better than I do, so we were going places I have never been before. :)

Laurie

Hi Sue & Laurie,
It looks like we could have a Waukesha County sub-group. There are a couple others too but not sure how often they are visiting Cathe these days.

Everyone is doing such great workouts. I am struggling to get up and do 45 minutes before work. But I think I am probably the oldest of the Wisconisn Cathe Coalition. Once things settle down in the Fall I would like to add some evening workouts too. We just moved in April and so much to do with the house - inside and out. And still some boxes staring at me!

Your workouts are very inspiring though and I think I need to try some of the premixes that wil fit into the time I have in the morning. I am getting up at 4am and have about 45 minutes. At that time, I can't handle anything too intense (right now).

I wish they had a separate place for check-ins to make them easier to find!

Marie

I just got done with Muscle Max and my body is pooped. Earlier today I did Imax2. Now all I want to di is read Harry Potter and maybe catch a nap before my son wakes up.

Hi, Marie!

I'm 41 so I don't know if that makes me the oldest or you? I think a couple others said they were 27-28ish. I *feel* like 28 - does that count? ;)

Sue

Hi, Laurie!

Yes, it is a small world. My kids will be 3rd and 5th graders this year at Bethesda. Yikes! I can hardly believe they're old enough.

Sue

Hi all, I am also 41. I live in Rice Lake, 1 hour north of Eau Claire. Jedi, do you always workout twice a day? Sue, I wish I felt like I was 28. I don't think of myself as that old but sometimes I feel it. Keep up the good work all.

I am also 41. It's nice to know we are all staying fit together and with Cathe. She is also 41 isn't she? Jedi, do you always work out 2 times a day? Keep up the good work. Karen

I am very excited about this thread. Question, when I move to Arizona can I still check in here? I will always be a Wisconsinite. Any objections? By the way, those of you in Waukesha County, can we get together within the next 2 weeks I would love it before I go. Marie1120 should we try it? I'm in Brookfield. I think Meecher is close by. I had no idea there were so many of us! Too cool!!

Great idea! I am available evenings and weekends. I emailed Pedmom and told her to check in if she is interested.

I am 52 and wish I could say I was staying in shape. More like trying to get back in shape. Perimenopause and hypothyroidism had a big impact and suddenly all this weight that doesn't want to leave. :(

Amazing that there are so many of us.

Hey BB's, mind if I join in? Thanks to MARIE for emailing me and inviting me! I fit right in the age group-I'm 39; the "big" 40 is coming in February. The only thing is I don't do Cathe exclusively-is that okay? I love Cathe's workouts and pre-ordered the new ones and can't wait for them.

A little history....I have worked out on and off all my life but have gone through long periods of inactivity and overweightness, especially when my kids were younger (they are almost 13 and almost 16 now). I finally got sick of being (very) overweight in about 1996 and joined Jenny Craig and started exercising regularly. I was able to lose 45 lbs. Then I got divorced and gained some weight back, but lost it again. Then I started dating someone and was happy and busy, no time for exercise and too much time for eating lol, and I gained again. I lost 30 lbs in 2004 doing low carb and exercising daily. I "discovered" Cathe from talk by others on a lc board and got hooked! I bought every single Cathe workout and did her exclusively every day for 4 months. So I burned out and my thighs bulked up a little (yes, the tape agreed). So now I am doing more variety and liking it. And I'm trying to get back to a size 4, which doesn't seem like it's going to happen.

I recently bought a bosu from Marie1120 (who does NOT look 52 at all!!) and am loving it! It's great fun and it really is working my legs harder than using a regular step for step workouts.

I'll try to check in daily, and will be glad to get the email notifications. I had a hard time finding the thread!

Have a good workout today people!
Jill
