BUFF BADGERS 7/20 - 7/24

Good Morning,

I will do some total body workout of some kind today--don't know if it should be circuit or just weights.

Susan, I guess that's why people call it snail mail when it comes by post office. Hope you get it today. Glad you had fun at the zoo. Did you pet the pigs? You had a nice day for it.

Sue, Hope your DH ankle feels better today after resting. I can only imagine with all that walking how it must feel. The lines at amusement parks are always so long aren't they? Good thing you went on a weekday, it probably made it a little better. Did you manage to get a workout in?

DH is off to the 24 hour race in Wausau today. He will be gone the weekend. DS15 ankle seems much better today. I don't know how much he can do at practice today, but he is going to go and try to do what he can.

Off to swimming lessons.

Laurie, hope you get some good weather for the weekend. We are suppose to have rain by us. What happens if your dress gets wet? It is so intricate I can't imagine it getting soaked.
 
Morning All,

Today was 30 Day Shred Level 2, and a 20 min run. Only one more day on Level 2, and then on to the last 10 days. I will be taking Shred and some kb workouts with me to the cabin next week. ;) Kind of glad that it is only my parents, us and probably one of my db's nieces. Nobody there to watch me workout. :D

Susan, I would say walking around the zoo is a workout. :cool: Pigs are cute, so I can understand. I have a huge love for frogs, and they are always wet and wiggly. :D Hope that pilates dvd finally shows up for you.

Karen, Well I picked KCM's 30 MTF #2 and used my weighted gloves. Must say that really gave the shoulders some DOMS this morning. ;) Now I know why I get my workout done in the morning, because it was tough getting motivated to workout. :) Hope that DS of yours heals quick. I will probably wear my old dress as a rain dress, that one has gotten soaked many times. :D

Susan, Sounds like you had fun at Six Flags, and really had a long day. Are you on the 30 days of the Shred? I will give my updated results on Monday, and there are results again. :D I'm very happy with what these workouts are doing to my body. So happy I did this. :D

Ended up doing Amy Kettlebell Dynamics. It is kettlebell work with cardio in between.

Sue, you might like that workout since you like circuits.

Laurie, are you losing any definition doing the shred workouts? I know you are losing inches but wondering about the definition part. It is hard to get motivated as the day goes on. I try to schedule things later in the day so I can get my workouts in.

Karen - KB Dynamics sounds interesting. I still have to get a lighter kb and practice.

Laurie - No, I'm not doing the 30 Day Shred Challenge but after hearing about your results I should reconsider.

Susan - Hope your dvd finally came. I know you were itching to try it. Did you enjoy the pigs? I haven't been to a zoo in ages. Sounds fun.

Last night I did Shred #1 and 2 plus Leslie 1 Mile Jog and leg toning with tubing (also on that dvd). I remember Shred #1 being harder. Must be confusing it with my other workouts because it felt pretty easy last night. Maybe taking a 2 day rest gave me more energy. This morning I did Jillian BFBM Circuits 1-3. This afternoon will be WeedMax, LaundryMax and CleanMax. :D

DS has a baseball game tonight. Next week is the last week and then football starts! DD starts Band Camp next week, too. It's going to be a busy week.
 
Karen, Just wanted to respond to this, because I probably wouldn't see it next week. I have lost no definition. I have actually become stronger, and my arms and shoulders are becoming more cut. Abs are there, and the slow process of losing that pooch is happening. :rolleyes: I did take before pics, but don't know if I will be brave enough to post when this is all done. :eek: The one big thing about doing these circuit type workouts vs. something like P90X, I am not hungry all the time. While doing P90X I would be starving, and when I got home would snack on horrible food. So even though I got strong, I wasn't as cut as I would have liked. I have been tracking my food, and try to keep eating healthy during the week. Weekends are really horrible. :( If you want to see what I have been eating you can see it at this link. HI everyone!

Yes, the pilates workout finally came!:D This morning I went for a 40mn walk, then did Shred #3. After I got home this afternoon I did the pilates and I like it! I was sweating so that was good. Mari talks a bit too much, so when she is describing an exercise I just started right in and got extra reps in!

Today I took the kids to see G-Force. Since my DD has a guinea pig we had to go see it. It was okay, for a movie about guinea pigs trying to help save the universe!:p

I told the family that tomorrow I am not doing anything I don't want to do! I am sleeping in, going for a nice walk with Ruby, relaxing, working out, reading my book. I am not running errands, doing chores, etc... I need a break!:eek:

Laurie, glad you are getting results from this Shred! So you did 10 days at level 1 then 10 @ 2 and 10 @ 3? I do think I am going to purchase this one for myself! I looked over your meal plan, We seem to eat alike!:) I have not seen that site before and am going to look at it more closely!

Karen, glad DS is feeling better. Any plans for the weekend?
