Morning BB's,

TGIF finally! I didn't get my workout in yesterday. Got home and decided that I didn't want to have to hurry up after I sweat to clean up for church. Got to church and found out there was a Mariachi band playing for the service. Which was very cool! Anyway I set up for communion and people kept coming into church. The place was full of people. The pastor even had to recruit my DD13 to acolyte. The Mariachi band was from the church in Mexico where our missions go to help build homes. Service lasted 1-1/2 hours plus I had to clean up afterwards. Just not what I expected, so bye the time I got home it was time to relax and watch the fire works on TV. Apparently they interviewed my DH live on the 12 News, and we didn't get to see it. Major bummer!

I will be doing a 5 mile run and then do the upper body work I skipped yesterday. Saturday I'm thinking of KPC and I will report Sunday's workout on Monday. I would like to do a 3 mile run at the most. We have dress rehersal on Sunday, so that means an early beginning to the day.

Sorry this was so long! Have a great day and weekend.

Laurie

Laurie - Mariachi band at church - how cool! Maybe you or your DH can get a tape from someone? Good luck at dress rehearsal. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate.

Fell asleep on my coach last night at 7 p.m.! Woke up around 8:15 and got ready for bed and slept in this morning so no workout yet. Hopefully I can do something tonight if DH is not working on remodeling downstairs.

Marie - Dr. Nick is Cathe's doctor who did her knee surgery. He and Cathe were on "Good Morning America" discussing "Boomeritis" and touting his book. Since I am of the baby boom generation (just barely) and have already had a couple of injuries, I thought it would help me workout smarter and prevent injury in the future. Here's the link if you want to read about it:

Have a GREAT weekend everyone! I myself am looking forward to it being OVER (because of our upgrade tomorrow) so I can relax and enjoy the rest of my time off.

Sue

Happy Friday and long weekend BBs!

Sue - thanks for the info on the book. What age are Boomers? Hope the conversion goes smooth and quick!

Laurie - you could have danced to the music to get in some exercise! :)

I did QF Cardio Kicks this morning and am feeling good that I did something every day this past week! Even if it wasn't a tone it was something. I saw the Fluidity infomercial this morning (unfortunately) and it got good reviews on VF (quality...) so I am tempted. It is a portable ballet barre with workouts and not cheap but they do more than just ballet stuff with it and very sturdy. They show using it for doing pull ups and other things.

Hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday! Enjoy whatever time you have off!

>What age are Boomers?

Anyone born in the years 1946-1964. I was born in '64 so I barely qualify. My oldest sibling was born in '46 so 11 of 12 kids in our family are "Baby Boomers". Little brother was born in '67 so he's a Gen Xer.
