Morning BB's,

No workout for me this weekend, spend Saturday weeding our treeline in front of our house. Planning on putting in ground cover, because the area is full of large rocks. I would like to see perennials in there instead of grass and weeds. Yesterday was our rehearsal so no workout on that day either. This morning was Hiit 30/30 and MM Lower Body Premix. After work I need to get in Disc 7 Chest, Shoulders, Biceps.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Laurie - We have something (I think it's called sedum?) that makes good ground cover. It grows like a weed though and you have to be careful it doesn't take over your flower beds! Good workout this morning.

Bob Harper Inside Out DVDs arrived on Friday! I ended up taking a rest day on Friday instead of doing 4DS CST and couldn't wait to try Bob's workouts on Saturday so I skipped 4DS. I did the 60 min. strength workout on Saturday. OH, MY GOSH! You guys want to get this one. It is TOUGH! My arms were shaking so bad I couldn't even do pushups on my knees at the end. I was drenched with sweat from this workout which burned as many calories as an Imax (about 600 for me). Your chest and shoulders are worked to exhaustion. My legs burned. The core work was relatively easy which was surprising. Bob needs someone to count because he doesn't work both sides evenly. I noticed this in his cardio and yoga workouts, too.

On Sunday, I started with the shorter 25 min. cardio which is called Balance and Buns (or something like that). It was good but not enough cardio so I started the 60 min. cardio and got through about half of it before church. The 60 min. cardio is good, too. Lots of kettlebell swings but with dumbbells. The exercises moved from one to another with little if any rest (just like in the strength). What I loved about this workout is that I was drenched in sweat again but no crazy high impact moves. He does some dumbbell work for the upper body which I didn't know or wouldn't have done this one the next day after doing his strength w/o. Lots of swings, burpees, walkout pushups. Can't wait to do this in its entirety.

I did the 60 min. yoga one this morning. It reminded me of Yoga X but not as long and a little easier. Tony holds the poses longer which makes it harder. He also has a 15 min. yoga I want to try.

Bob has a different demeanor than in the Biggest Loser dvds I have. He is meaner and more like how he is on the show when he's pushing the contestants in the gym. I can definitely grow with this workouts.

The only dvd I haven't tried yet is Bob's workout. It looks tough. Don't know how soon I'll try this one but I'll report back when I do.

Hello there! Well, this weekend we were at the cabin so I mainly just walked and walked some more for exercise. Ruby was a bit timid out there in the country though. She did not like going by the woods. We were told by the neighbors that there was a bear in our yard just a couple weeks ago! I think she was picking up on a sent of something she did not like cause as soon as I got near the woods she started wanting to head back home! My Jillian dvd's have arrived! I pick them up this afternoon. Today was BFBM which I have anyway. I needed Jillian to kick my butt after eating pretty much the way I wanted to all weekend! :p Tomorrow I am to run and do Shred 3 & 1, in that order.

Laurie, I bet your body appreciated the "break" you gave it over the weekend. Sounds like you're making up for it today though!

Sue, I am definitely going to have to look at those Bob dvd's ! Glad you are enjoying them so far!

Take care and have a great day!

Susan

Morning BB's,

No workout for me this morning, we still didn't have any power when I left for work. Decided to come in early, because I will be busy with cleaning up the yard from all the tree debris that is scattered around. We where in the path of something, just glad we still have a roof over our heads. A tornado 5 miles away from my house is just way to close.

Sue, I did get sedium, and since I didn't have time to get them planted, was really glad that they didn't blow away last night. I also purchased Irish moss, and some phlox. I have something else, just can't remember what it was called. :D Thanks for the info on Bob's new workouts, they sound like winners. Now you could combine Jillian and Bob, and feel like you are on the biggest loser! Really wouldn't that be a great combo?

Susan, I'm sure Ruby did have the sent of something she didn't care for. Cami would have been pulling me, trying to find out what it was. Have you started the Jillian rotation that you posted? I have a friend that is just doing the Shred workouts, and she is super happy about her results.

Have a wonderful day!

Laurie - I'm glad you're okay aside from some tree debris and loss of power. You're farther south than we are so you were definitely in the path. We were lucky. The tornado siren went off about 9:30 so I grabbed the cats and headed to the basement . The rain came down HARD and what a light show! One of my co-workers was at the movie theatre and missed the whole thing. They didn't make an announcment or anything.

I did 3 Leslie miles last night. Don't know if I'll workout tonight or take a rest day. My hips are sore from yoga yesterday so maybe I'll rest.

Hi BBs...sounds like everyone had interesting/good weekends. We didn´t have any storms here, but lots of rain. I was in cincinnati last week reading/grading AP tests. The weather there was decent, although I was inside all day :(

It´s beautiful here today! got in GS Legs...wow again, forgot how intense that one is! Yesterday was GSBSB and 4DS bootcamp cardio. Good workout!

Susan, I hear ya on the need for a kickbutt workout after a weekend of eating...same for me. I probably gained about 3 lbs...I won´t weight myself for a week, til I´m pretty sure the numbers won´t depress me;)

Laurie, glad that you didn´t have much damage from the storm.

Sue, You have piqued my interest in Bob´s workouts...They sound good!

Have any of you been watching the World Cup? Right now am watching Argentina-Greece. We lived in Argentina for 8 years, so not hard to guess who I want to win.:) Argentina is playing way better, but still no score :(

HI Ladies! Over slept by 2 hours this morning! So I did not get my run in but I did do Shred #3 and #1 and went for a bike ride. Need to do some stretching later.

Laurie, boy, that sounds a little too close for comfort if ya ask me! Glad all is well though. Pretty hot day to have to spend outside cleaning up! yes, I have started the Jillian rotation. Tomorrow is NMTZ.

Sue, I checked out those Bob workouts and they look pretty intense! I am keeping it on my wish list and we'll see how I do with this Jillian rotation...

Lala, glad to have you back! Hope you were able to enjoy yourself a bit while you were away!

Okay, I better get some housework done or DH will wonder what I did all day! ;)

Susan

Good Morning! Today will be NMTZ and maybe CardioX too! Last night while watching Jillian's new show I jumped on the elliptical for a tough 30mn workout. Legs are a little sore today after doing Shred yesterday..

More rain here today so it'll be quiet around here!

Hope you all have a good day!

Susan

Morning BB's,

OK so can this rain stop already, or should I say these violent t-storms. I don't enjoy lightening that seems to be someone flicking the lights off and on. Got most of the debris cleaned up and put on the side of the street. I was drenched with sweat by the time we got done, and was so glad that our power came on around 7:30pm last night. It would have been horrible if I wasn't able to get a shower. :( Stinky too.

This morning was Insanity Core Cardio & Balance followed by PY4H Quickie, such a nice combo.

Sue, Wonder if those theaters are tornado shelters! Interesting that they didn't let the people know. Our siren didn't go off, but we where watching the tv.

Lala, I have not been watching the world cup, really have not had the time. Besides we seem to only watch what the girls are interested in. Good workouts you got in, are you doing a GS rotation?

Susan, NMTZ and CardioX sounds like a great combo. How do you like Jillian's new show? I have not watched any of them yet.

Have a great day!

Morning BB's,

This morning was absolutely beautiful! Guess we had to endure all that humidity just to have this day. This morning was Hiit Double Wave Pyramid and KCM's 30MTF Cardio Blast Plyometric workout. After Hiit that 30MTF workout was a piece of cake. Will be in the yard again tonight, taking down a couple of dead trees and still need to get my ground cover planted.

Hope everyone gets to enjoy this weather, I will be at a team building event this afternoon. Lunch and softball!

Have a wonderful day!

Laurie - I think Bob and Jillian's workouts would be a great combo. I read that Bob's workout is the hardest and you should work up to it. Also, the other 3 workouts should be done once per week so that leaves room for Jillian. I'm thinking of this for a rotation:

Bob's Strength
BFBM
Bob's Cardio (which includes a little strength)
Rest
NMTZ
Bob's Yoga
Other cardio

My sister has a cottage in Fort Atkinson that she rents out and they lost 3 huge trees (2 oaks & 1 maple). Barely missed the house. Maple was uprooted completely. She sent a pic via email which was pretty impressive. Did anyone see all the trees flattened at Old World Wisconsin? It looks like a huge saucer landed and flattened everything. And all those damaged homes in Eagle. Sad. :(

Yesterday morning I did 4DS CST. Last night a short 15 min. Gilad kickbox cardio, 10 min. Cindy Whitmarsh lower body and 10 min. Cindy Whitmarsh abs - all from Exercise TV. This morning I did 1 1/2 miles outside (walk/jog) and 10 min. Stephanie Vittorino buns w/o from Exercise TV. I like doing the shorter workouts for a change of pace. Will try to get more cardio in tonight.

Hi!:D Just a 40mn walk so far with Ruby this morning. Had appointments and just got home. Now I am going to go do Shred #2 & 1 (in that order). DS has an early Baseball game today too. Might walk down to the game though (2 miles).

Sue, that rotation looks good! Bobs stuff does look tough. Made me wonder if Jillian will come along with one similar (or tougher). Sorry to hear about your sister losing so many trees.:( We have a huge maple right in the front of our house and every time there is a bad storm I worry about it smashing down on us!

Laurie, good workouts today (as always!) Hope you had fun at your team building. Do you like playing softball? Yes, it is gorgeous weather out there today! Such a nice break from all that humidity!

Have a good night ladies! Susan

Hi there! Well, it's finally Friday! Today is BFBM. Also Ruby and I walked for an hour this morning. Poor lil' thing is pooped right now!;)

DS won their baseball game last night, 20-5. They haven't lost yet! It was a gorgeous night too.

No big plans for my weekend. Hope to run in the morning and do Yoga Meltdown on Sunday. Probably doing some yard work etc.. DH is still working on fire pit in back yard so I assume I will be called for duty out there!:)

Have a great day! Susan

Morning BB's,

Well yesterday at the softball game I pulled a hamstring. It isn't a bad one, I can walk fine it just is uncomfortable to get out of a chair or walk up the stairs. So this morning I did StretchX, and will continue to do yoga stretching until I feel I can do more intense work. But our team did a great job, we won our first two games to get into the championship round. In order to get on base I had to hit the ball out of the infield, and was doing really good at that. :D When I got on base I got a runner. We lost the last game though. :(

Sue, Looks like a really good rotation, and I'm seeing the pounds just melt off of you. Sorry to hear about your trees at the cottage, that is one place where trees are so nice to have. Way to take advantage of those ExersiceTV workouts.

Susan, I have played softball for years, just have not played in about the last five. I think yard work is going to be what I do this weekend also.

Have a wonderful day!
