BUFF BADGERS 5/17-5/21

Morning BB's,

This morning was MTV Power Yoga with Kristin McGee. Friday evening I did get in 10 min. Solutions Knockout Body, and that really was a good workout. Saturday was 4DS Kicboxing cardio, Tae Bo Focus: Abs and Glutes and later in the day was W1M3 Shoulders, Biceps & Triceps. Yesterday was a 30 min run and Kathy Smiths Functionally Fit Lower Body Firming. Seems like a lot, but you can get a lot of variety in 30 min. or less. :D

Nothing exciting happened with us this weekend. Oldest DD didn't have a good meet on Friday, but she felt much better the next day. She was crying when I picked her up Friday evening, and I told her some days you feel great and some days are not so great. Probably a good thing that she got the junky meet out of the way before the meets for state. She had been suffering from a cold the whole week, doing practices in the rain, and not eating enough during the day. I think her body was just plain tired.

Hi,

Today I did PUB through shoulders when the player froze so I put in 4D split bi/tri and did that. I did the abs from 4DS kickbox. Didn't do any workout over the weekend as we were at a soccer tournament both days.

Laurie, glad DD is feeling better. I tried that 10 min. solutions knockout body but found it choppy and so I couldn't keep my heartrate up. I'll have to give it another try.

Today was Insanity Core Cardio & Balance. Have to go to DD13's track meet today, so will be leaving early to help out. She had a meet last night, and she was in the 4x100 and the open 200. 2nd place on both of those. :D

Karen, I enjoy that 10min. workout, and I do use the weighted gloves. My HR didn't get all that high, but I was doing it as a second light workout. I did find that the first two sections where the best for the HR. WTG on adjusting your workout!

Nothing yet today. I hope to bike a little after work before soccer and softball.

Laurie, great job by DD. Now that she is feeling better, there is no stopping her. Have fun at the track meet tonight. As a second workout it would be good. Silly me, I didn't read the post close enough.

Hi ladies!

Well, last Friday I did a quick,intense workout on the elliptical. Saturday was BFBM, Sunday I mowed the lawn and went for a 60mn walk with Ruby. Now, I am sick...:( I have a horrible cold and cough and it's hard to breathe with crap in my throat. Feel awful. DS was home sick 2 days last week with this and lucky me, I caught it! Went for a walk this morning, seemed to get worse as the day has gone on. Hoping to be back to normal tomorrow. Really wanted to try running this morning, so I have it on the agenda for Wednesday! Tonight we have DD's end of the year choir concert.

Laurie, you sure have a lot of variety in your workouts!:) DD did great and I hope she is happy!:D

Karen, I decided I hate the month of May cause there is too much to do plus of course school is still going on! Soccer, baseball, concerts, school, work.... Let it be done already!

This morning was MMA Kickboxing! :D

DD13 got a 1st in her open 200, and a 2nd in her triple jump. She has one more meet this week, and one next week which is the conference meet. That is the last one! :eek: Oldest has two meets left, and then hopefully onto the state meet the first weekend of June!

Karen, Did you manage to get in a little workout before the evening activities?

Susan, Sorry to hear that you are so sick! :( I totally agree with you on the month of May! My oldest has to go through finals also, so that is another added stress.

Hi,

No workout yesterday. Today I just got in Maximize full frontal and back in action--Jillian workouts. Banged my toe 2 days ago and it is still purple and it still hurts so I can't really run or do any leg workout that I have to bend my toes right now.

Laurie, congrats to DD again. When is tonique on your schedule?

Susan, hope you are feeling better. It is a busy time. Only a few more weeks.:)

Hi...thurday and my first check-in...well the end of the school year and we all know what that means! I've been running 3-4 times a week to prepare for my 10K, but am slower than last year :( I hope that I have given myself enough time to train and don't have injuries cropping up.

I am using motiontrax, similiar to cardio coach, but free!! I like them.

Sounds like you all have been busy. Laurie, sounds like DD13 is doing well. Last night was DD18 last concert...brought tears to my eyes :(

Susan, hope you get better. Getting colds, especially at this time of year is no fun. How's your back?

Karen, funny how a small thing like a toe can give us so much trouble...hope it gets better soon!

This morning was XStretch. Tonight is another track meet for DD13, so will be attending that.

Karen, I bought the 5 DVD set of Jillians, just wondering when I'm going to get a chance to try them out. I purchased them for $20 so felt it was a good deal. I really like Jillian, so hopefully will be able to ignore her gigglie persona in these workouts. :D Sorry to hear about you toe, hope it heals quick.

Lala, I will have to check out those motiontrax. I do like having an endless supply of options. LOL I don't know what I will do next year when DD17 is a Senior. This is your last child at home isn't it? :(

HI gang! Yesterday was Plyometrics. Hadn't done that one in a long time and I was tired! Today I hope to get in Core Synergistics. My cold is doing much better. I think Plyo kind of sweated it out of me! :D

Lala, when is your 10k? My back is better but occasionally if I move the wrong way, I get a twinge in it. :( I am going to check out that motiontrax too!

Laurie, good luck to DD13 today!

Karen, OUCH! Hope that toe heals quickly! I hate it when my feet hurt in anyway, cause I need them for so much! ;)

Sorry to be MIA this week. Lots going on now that school is winding down and lots of projects coming due at work. Trying to remember what I did this week. :confused: Workouts have been very inconsistent.

Sunday - 5 Leslie Fat Burning Miles
Monday - HSTA Advanced
Tuesday - ?
Wednesday - Helped unload and sort flowers at work for 4 hours
Thursday - Took off so I could plant my flowers and get housework done
Friday - Nothing yet today, Sore from last 2 days of physical labor. Glad to have a desk job today. :)
