Morning BB's,

Today will be PUB.

The weekend was pretty good, the girls and I didn't go to the mall. Probably a good thing. I baked some cookies for church, but of course the family had to taste test before they left the house. Didn't bring any of them home yesterday, so I guess they where good. :D I will have to make my DD's the molasses cookies some time this week.

DH was able to mow the lawn yesterday. Still wet, but he was afraid we would have a hay field if he didn't get out there and cut it. x( Most of our neighbors must have thought the same, because they where out there also. Then we went to my BIL's for dinner, all made by my BIL and DH.

Quite night tonight, DD track meet is an away, so just DD9 an I until I have to pick the oldest up.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi Laurie. I hear ya on the yardwork. I think everyone on our street cut the grass yesterday, including us. DS started at 11am but it was still too wet and clumped all over the yard and clogged the mower. So we waited, and it was okay to do it at about 2pm or so. I also got the electric clippers out and trimmed all of the bushes. My trimmer is not fixed yet, so I took the manual ones and got down on my kneeds and did all the trimming manually. Of course I woke up with a sore back, but it was worth it. It was starting to look like a jungle!

I have an appointment with a client late morning, but when I get back I'm going to try to do at least part of Cardio Party I from the Turbo Jam series. A friend lent it to me. I doubt I can do it all with my foot pain, but at least I can see if I like it and return it.

Have a good Monday!

Yep - DH cut our lawn yesterday too! It was nice to see those glimpses of sunshine!!!

Hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day!

DH completed the Ultra and now calls himself Ultra Man! He ran for 6 hrs, 45 min and was the first of the four from his running group to come in. They are now calling him Trail Boy.

I got up this morning and did the GF Fat Blasting Walk.

I hope the weather clears up - we have plants all over the place that need to get planted!!!! I hope this looks good when all done.

The shower got done Sat morning and looks really nice. Still need to have the shower door installed before we can use it. It is ordered and hopefully that won't be much longer.

Hello, ladies!

Well, DH would have cut the lawn yesterday if our lawnmower wasn't broken! He took it in to be repaired and it looks like we need a new one. Been borrowing the neighbor's and I guess he didn't feel like doing that yesterday.

Jill - Have fun with CP1. I have to warn you though - the first time I tried this workout I was really lost. I can do it now no problem. Also, Chalene hardly cues at all during the turbo so I just do my own thing.

Marie - Yeah! on getting your bathroom almost done. What a relief that will be, huh?

Changed the weekend plan up a bit and did CP1 Friday night + 2 10 min. segments from Kelli Roberts 10 min. Kickbox Solutions (abs, buns/thighs). On Saturday I was running late so just did Imax2 6-10. Sunday was a 3 mile jog. This morning was a SB/SJP circuit w/weights premix.

Went to McDonald's TWICE over the weekend to get their new Grilled Chicken Asian salad (it's ok; like their Cobb salad better) and the free DVD that comes with it. Picked up the cardio and core ones (they also have yoga and strength). Haven't previewed them yet but my expectations are very low. But hey, who can resist free stuff?!

My mom left on Saturday to visit my sister in Denver so 3 of my other sisters and I took advantage of the opportunity to clean her house. She's 84 and doesn't get around very well. My dad passed away 2 1/2 years ago so mom lives alone now. (She was 42 when she had me - I'm #11 of 12 kids.) It just works out better to do this while she is gone so she doesn't feel bad about not being able to do it herself or getting nervous we'll "break something". (You know moms.) We spent 3 1/2 hours deep cleaning the whole house - stuff like dusting on top of the cupboards that are so high I needed a ladder, cleaning out the shelves and drawers in the fridge, moving all the furniture to vacuum, dusting everything, etc. It was actually fun because we could chat while we worked. We even replaced a bad toilet seat for her - wonder how long it will take her to notice!

DS gave me a really sweet card for Mother's Day. He had to finish off sentences like "My mom's favorite flavor of ice cream is _____". He got it right - cookies 'n cream. The really funny part is how he answered these questions "My mom's favorite activity is ______". He got it right again - working out. "If my mom could go anywhere it would be ______". He said New Jersey because of the Cathe roadtrip I did last year! LOL Little does he know the answer is actually Hawaii.

DH gave me an iTunes gift card, iPod accessory for my car and part of Season 6 Sex and the City. (guilty pleasure) DD gave me some of her favorite books for me to read (?) It was sweet but you could tell that's not really what she was planning to give me. I think she forgot it at school.

Rather chatty today, aren't I? LOL Sorry so long. Have a great day.

Hi Gals!

Tonight will be??? I don't know what workout yet. Will have to figure it out later. With the heat kicking in, I have been doing shorter but intense workouts lately. Nothing over an hour. Though we put the air on upstairs at about 7 p.m., so it's cooled nicely by the time I exercise. I have been enjoying some oldies but goodies lately.

OK, I'm ready to leave this inferno. Getting a lot of pool time in. I will be glad to get to WI. I hope July is a nice, cool month. NOt too hot and sticky. That's one thing that I don't miss is the humidity. Even though it's hot here, I don't have limp hair and feel like I need a shower two hours after I take one. Other than that, no cool fronts to look forward to.

Looks like you will be getting some nice weather this week. Green Bay hit the news out here last week, with snowy, sleety conditions.

Good workouts everyone!

Cynthia
