BUFF BADGERS 4/26

Cathlete
Hello there! Hope you're all staying healthy and strong.

I went to bed late last night and when the alarm went off, well I don't even remember hitting it! So I will be working out after work. I plan on doing CTX upper body and 30 mns on the Nordic Track. Then some ab work.

Kids have started soccer so I am running around all ready. They love it and I love seeing them be active.

Have a good one! Susan

Morning Susan & BB's to follow,

Susan, I also love to see my DD's active. DD13 has her first track meet tomorrow, which I have volunteered for :D, and she will be doing the long jump and possibly doing one of the longer runs. Her coach hasn't said yet.

Today for me will be 40-60 min Run and CTX Shoulders/Biceps/Triceps.

Ellen, did you say that you where going to be doing a 5K this weekend, or did I read that someplace else?

There was a fire in New Berlin this morning. It was only two blocks away from the house we used to live in. I saw the news this morning and the area looked familiar. So sad about the gentleman that lived there though.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Good Morning BBs,
THis morning was one of the new Turbo Jams - fat blaster. I wasn't crazy about this one though since it was mostly one turbo after another - first slow and then fast. Others might love this though.

It is good to see al of your children active! Too many aren't htese days. I am sure you are both good examples.

Laurie - we are about a mile from that house. We live close to the golf course. (Too bad neither of us golf.) I didn't know you used to live near there.

Good morning,

I took yet another rest day yesterday — that was three in a row, although I guess I don't really count Sunday since we were putting up fencing all day. That's how I'm easing my guilt :) Anyway, I ran about four miles this morning. It's almost to the point where it's light enough early enough that I might be able to start running outside in the morning. I always feel kind of weird about doing that though; I certainly don't wear my headphones at that time of day.

Laurie, I'm running an 8k on Saturday, the Crazylegs at UW. I did it last year; it's a lot of fun. The finish line is in Camp Randall Stadium. If I were a Badger fan, that would be exciting ;)

I read reviews yesterday of Mindy Mylrea's new DVDs, specifically her boot camp/kick box one. I think I might get it. It sounded really good. I've never used her workouts, but I want to incorporate kickboxing with my running instead of so much step. Even though I haven't done step regularly in a few months, I still have no desire to do it. I'm sure I'll return to it eventually — I always do — but for now I'd like to try something else.

Have a great day,

Ellen

Susan & Laurie - I *wish* my kids would be more interested in sports. They do Tae Kwon Do and baseball/softball but that's it. Neither one has a weight problem but we have to shoo them outside on nice, sunny days. Keep hoping my good example will wear off on them.;-)

Marie - I'd like to order the new Turbo Jams (and the new Mindys and the Caribbean workouts and the list goes on. . .) but we've been spending a lot of money lately on silly things like tile, flooring and a water heater so I decided to wait for now. Does Chalene cue better in the turbos in these workouts? The first time I did CP1, I was completely lost. Now I just do my own thing during the turbo.

Ellen - Two of my brothers have done the Crazylegs run and they are definitely big Badger fans. So living in Madison hasn't rubbed off on you yet, huh?;-)

I did a KPC premix this morning. Wish I had time for more but slept in a bit.

Have a great day everyone!

Sue

:) Not yet! I've got 26 years as a Boilermaker vs. almost two in Madison. Love the city, really enjoy working at the school, but I think I've become more of a Purdue fan since I moved away!

Sue - Chalene believes in minimal queing which is something I learned doing the TK Cert. ALthough I can't remember the reason. She also cues later. I think eventually you get used to that. THis was the only one I have done from the last 4. I liked the Cardio Party Re-mix from the previous 2. I think Kick Punch and Jab is a longer one that many like. So you probably don't need or want all of them. Some are toning which is not her best area.

At least CW workouts are cheap. I got 2 of the Mindy's - bootcamp and abs. It will be a little while before i do them since they are off to visit a friend in VT.

We've done tile, flooring and many other things. Ugh! But the water heter would be a real important one!!
