BUFF BADGERS 4/18

Morning BB's,

I ran yesterday for 6.5 miles, so today I'm planning on doing some kickboxing. KPC is probably going to be the selection since it has abs included in it also.

When I was at my parents this weekend my Dad & Mom each had a stability ball. Dad's was very firm and I did some pikes on that with no problem. Now I know that my stability ball isn't firm enough, because it is so much more difficult for me to get into that pike on mine. Or I need to get the same one he had. }( Spending money isn't so bad is it?:+

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hello there! Laurie we posted at the same time!

Hope you all had a good Monday. Today I woke up and took our dog for a long brisk walk then did Power Hour. My chest feels so weak! It's still shakey! The workout felt good though.

I thought my heel problem was gone. After taking it easy with my cold last week it felt better. After MIC yesterday now it feels worse. I suppose I should have a doctor look at it in case it is a stress fracture... I have been taking ibuprofen but it doesn't seem to be helping.

Stay strong- Susan

Have faith in yourself and in what you believe. Just listen to your heart for the courage you need.
Be persistent, stay strong, and in the end you will see,it's been worth every struggle to hold on to your dream.

Laurie - what a great run! What kind of stability ball does your Dad have? Can you put more air in yours?

Susan - sorry about your heel. Could it be plantaar fasciitis? Does it hurt most when you get out of bed first thing in the morning?

I went to the gym last night and went through the workout the trainer set up for me. He showed me an ab exercise using the bands that I felt right where I needed to. He put the band around the "ballet barre" but I have to think if there is a way to duplicate this at home.

No workout this morning. I woke up several hours after faling asleep with the smooth side of my arms itching. I put Benadryl cream but still laid there for an hour waiting to stop. Finally took a half of a tylenol PM but it was so late that I was still very tired this morning. Not sure what the itching was about - it seemed very odd. If an allergy to the detergent, you would think it would have been my face too instead of just my arms. Forgot my spin stuff this morning so thinking of doing a kickboxing workout at home instead.

Jill - Tax season is over!!! Relax and re-join us.

Sue - Are you going to cancel your Cathe pre-order? I am still undecided but leaning toward waiting.

Laurie - I replaced my stability ball a few months ago with a Core Secrets ball which is bigger than my old ball and harder to do pikes on. Maybe size has something to do with how hard pikes are to do as well. Either that, or I need to practice my pikes more often;-)

Susan - I recommend seeing a doctor about your heel before it gets worse. You've mentioned it a few times (if I recall correctly) so it must be frustrating for you.

Marie - (sigh) I guess I'm going to wait a while longer on the pre-order. That's all I'm going to say for now.

Was planning on doing some sort of circuit this morning but my right ankle hurts (cause unknown) so thought I'd give it a rest. Did Supersets instead.

I'm at work today but my mind is still on vacation:) Wishing now I had taken more days off this week. Oh, well. I decided instead to ask for July 5-7 off. We have July 3 & 4 off so I'll get a whole week off and only use 3 vacation days. Don't know what I'll do yet but we like to take the kids out of daycare a couple of weeks over the summer and DH can't take a family vacation until August aside from day trips so it'll mainly be me and the kids hanging out. That sounds like a lot of fun right now. Can't wait to get home and play more badminton.

Hello,

This has been a super-busy day at work. I wish the weekend were closer.

This morning I ran five miles on the treadmill. I'm trying up my mileage the next couple of weeks, before I taper for the mini. Nothing else is really going on with me... just work work work.

Take care,

Ellen
