BUFF BADGERS 3/7

Hello Ladies, Since I forgot to check in yesterday I thought I'd better start this today! Hope you all had a good Monday.

Today was an oldie but a goodie - Power Max. Hadn't pulled that one out in ages. It was fun! Later I will be doing pilates for about 40 minutes and walking the dog. Have a great day everyone.
Stay strong- Susan

Morning BB's,

Today is Circuit Max.

Congrats on the certification Marie!

I have a candle party to go to tonight! I probably will order some candles, but I don't need the fancy candle holders. I have enough of those.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Good morning,

I thought I was going to rest yesterday, but I ended up going for a 4-mile run outside after work. So I'm resting today :) I hear it's supposed to be 50 this weekend, so I'll run outside for sure then too. Yay! I love when spring starts to arrive. I better knock on wood though, so we don't get a sudden snowstorm :)

Take care,

Ellen

Hi Badgers,

I had CPR/AED training yesterday, so I wasn't at work. Still don't know if I could save anyone - I'm sure it would be SO different on a real person!

Last night I did a real blast from the past, too. Christi Taylor's "Hi Lo Heaven" - boy, was I whipping around during that one. Dancy, dancy, dancy. And fun, but I felt a bit klutzy. It was a nice change from my usual Cathe workouts. Then I did Core Max Section 1, and levitated not at all. :)

Susan - I like PowerMax, too. Love the music - gimme 80's and 90's any day!

Ellen - Good for you on your run! That's great. I can't believe it's supposed to get so warm. I'm going to like that! I remember last year we got a humdinger of a snowstorm at the end of March, so I guess it isn't over until it's over!

Have a good day, everyone. - Sarah

Hi BBs.

I ended up doing Cardio Coach yesterday instead of bosu. I just don't like any of the workouts that much. I am going to order Seasun Zieger's new ones. Presale starts today, with shipping in June. Anyone else like her? Her step is a little dancy for me, but I'm so desparate for a good bosu workout I'm going to get them all. :)

I'm set to workout at noon again today, but can't decide what to do. I would like some AWT. Maybe a TLT. I haven't warmed up to the two that Tracie leads, which is funny cuz I expected to like those best. Maybe I should give them another try. There's just a lot of high impact in them, and my foot (neuroma) can't take it.

Susan, great job on PM so early in the morning! I will also be dogwalking today. I'm glad it's getting warmer!!

Laurie, have fun tonight. Is it Party Light? (or however they spell it). I like their stuff, but yes, it's pricey.

Ellen, wtg on more running!

Sarah, I am a non-levitator also. LOL!

Jill

Sarah/Jill - I'm also a member of the non-levitating club.

Ellen - I hope it warms up enough this weekend for you to have a nice run outside. I just hope the nice day isn't on Saturday. We have an OS upgrade so I'll be at work most of the day. :-(

Hi, Laurie, Susan and BBs that follow!

This morning I did GS Back, KPC cardio conditioning and KPC abs.

Have a great day!

Sue

We are showing rain after today until Sunday. But much better than snow and I will be glad to have it melt the snow away. We could really use more signs that spring is really coming. No workout this morning but am finally getting back to Spin class after over 2 weeks.

Another non-levatatator!

Sue - not sure if the TK web site will show you how TK differs from TJ. Chalene does like to shake it but I would say most instructors don't or not to that extent. So Julie's class might be more of an athletic version. I think Chalene's class format is well designed and very balanced. The music isn't what I listen to but it works great for the workouts. The turbo is meant for you to go anaerobic but is easily modified to a lower impact but still intense section.

Those who are firmly grounded . . . .

Wow, I thought I was the only one who wasn't levitating in the world! I usually take heart by watching Rhonda in the video, she seems to have more difficulty than the rest. I don't know if it's coincidence, but she's taller too. I think I am Rhonda's height - 5'6 1/2 or so. I have long limbs. Don't know if that's a valid theory. That's what I'm clinging to, at least! :) Sarah

Marie - You're right - the website didn't explain how Turbokick and Turbo Jam are different. I'm guessing Turbokick is what is taught at fitness clubs & on your "TK rounds" workout dvds. And Turbo Jam are end-user (non-TK certified) workout videos. Is that right? Funny what you said about Chalene shakin' it. :) I have a hard enough time keeping up with the movements because they're so fast paced - much less adding in a shake & shimmy. LOL

Have you seen the TJ infomercial? Told DH I was surprised to see an intermediate-advanced type workout on TV. Usually those infomercials cater to beginners and I can't imagine a beginner doing TJ but maybe that's just me. . .

Sounds good to me!!! :)

RE: Those who are firmly grounded . . . .

Well what the heck! I never got another email today saying there were more posts here. :(

I did Push Pull today, and then just now 17 minutes on the treadmill. Such an odd number because I had to quit. My foot was starting to hurt too much (stupid neuroma!) and I don't want to aggravate it and have to get another shot.

Re: the Turbo Jam stuff. A friend leant me Learn & Burn and I didn't care for it. But someone else is now going to lend me Cardio Party I. Anyone do this one? I just didn't care much for Chalene for some reason. It's odd how sometimes you like an instructor and sometimes you don't, for no real reasons.

Sarah, I'm in the middle height-wise (5'4") and can't even get close to doing them! I always notice Rhonda kind of touching her toes down. Makes me feel a little better lol.

Hope you ladies have a good night. My friend is coming over and we are having "chick flick mom night". LOL. We are watching A Lot Like Love with Ashton Kutcher.
