BUFF BADGERS 3/34 - 3/28

Hi There!

Today is the elliptical for 40mn(Extmeme Heart Rate) followed by pilates for 30mn.

Laurie, I went to Hal Higdon's website last night and was looking over his running programs. I think I am going to start one. We have a walking map here in town that has 1.5, 3, and 6 mile paths on it. I think I'll start with the 3 miler! I am actually excited about it! I told my hubby I would love to be able to do a half marathon!

Sue,I went and took the kids to "Horton" last week. It was very cute. They loved it.

Karen, the weather is dreary and cold here today. I know it's Spring but it sure doesn't feel like it!

Stay strong- Susan

Morning BB's,

Today I am doing CC#7, abs, stretchmax.

Sue, not trying to kill you, just having a little fun. You can do anything for 10 miles. Is that how that quote goes?

Susan, you still use your elliptical a lot. It is suppose to be a nice weekend for your planned out runs. Do you have a half that you are eyeing? I've printed out Hals running log last year but have never really followed it.

Laurie, I'll bet you have another great workout planned. Don't up the miles to quickly, I'm trying to keep up. You and Susan should do a half together. I'll come cheer you on.

My DH is training for the race across Iowa. It's a 24 hour 320 mile race. No thank you.

My mom and dad and brother and sister in law said they would pay for the boys to race 3 races this year. They just have to pick out which ones are their favorites. I thought that was very nice.

DH doesn't like to just ride. He has to train or race everything. He still wants me to do some races with him but that is just not my cup of tea. I have to get in biking shape in case he has me do one anyway. That's why I can't keep up on running too.

So much to do and so little time.

Have a great day all.

Morning BB's,

Todays workout was Circuit Max. Dang was that fun! :D

We didn't get to Texas Roadhouse. My review with my boss lasted 1-1/2 hours. It was snowing when I went outside, and I called DD. She wanted Chinese food. So both DD's wanted the same thing for there B'day. I changed it up a little. Instead of a cake, I got a blueberry pie. :9 DD's are not going to be around tonight, so I still haven't decided what I want to do until DH gets home from work.

Good things about this morning: The sun is shinning, and my boss told me my raise was higher than what he told me yesterday! :D

Karen, I'm glad that the boys will be able to do some races this year. Bet they are happy too. Nice of your family to do that for them. That race your DH is going to do is called torture isn't it? What you don't want to join Susan and I in a race? :D I have been wanting to join one, but will have to see. Guess I'm one of those that is scared to try something like that. :D I will be doing my long run tomorrow, and it is 5 miles. This is my longest since I started to get serious on my running. I used to be up to 9 miles when I stopped. Why did I stop again. LOL!

Susan, Those trails sound wonderful. Wish we had something close to us like that. We have a golf course by us, and have wondered if I could run on those trails. Guess it doesn't hurt to call and find out. :D Here is a link for you to create running routes also. I have used this many times. http://www.usatf.org/routes/map/ Just in case you need a change of pace. This tool is really cool.

Sue, Have fun with Horton today. :D Had to LOL at Karen telling you to run 10 miles all in one shot. :D I would like to do a get together again. Guess we will have to wait until Jill is out from under all those tax forms. :D I'm actually heading out to North Carolina to meet up with some ladies I met on the P90X thread. I'm heading out there next week Thursday.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Laurie, I am afraid to join a half too. Thus the reason for cheering. I will try to do 6 miles to meet your 12 for the week. I don't know if I'll make it but I'll give it a go. I'll be thinking of you while running tomorrow. What? you don't think running 10 miles all in one shot with no building up the miles is good? Insret smiliy face here except I can't get them to work.

Karen - I know you were just kidding! :p LOL at doing anything for 10 miles!! The thing is, I may be crazy enough to actually try running 10 miles one day - after I build up to it that is. I'm going to try to do more running this spring/summer so who knows. So nice your boys will get to race again this summer. I bet they were excited when you told them. :) Don't take this the wrong way but your DH's 24 hour bike race sounds nuts! Of course, this is coming from someone who has never biked more than 20 miles in 24 hours.

Laurie - That is so cool you're going to North Caroliina to meet your P90X buddies! You'll have a blast and you get to enjoy some warmer weather, too! :7 You can do 5 miles no problem. I have the utmost confidence in you. ;-)

Susan - I've also used www.mapmyrun.com to calculate mileage for routes in my neighborhood. It's basically the same as the link Laurie told you about.

Did Lowmax 1-4 this morning. Dojo tonight so I have to save some energy although legs are feeling pretty fried right now. What was Fitnessfreak thinking having me do Lowmax the day after PLB?! Guess she's trying to kill me, too. ;-) It's a conspiracy I tell you.
LOL

Have a great weekend guys!

Sue

Edited to add:
I took a further look at the USA Track and Field website that Laurie told Susan about and I like it better than mapmyrun.com. It's a little less cluttered and easier to read and the maps are bigger. Thanks, Laurie!
