Hello there ladies!

Hope you all enjoyed the weekend. We had a lot of fun. We spent Easter with our very close friends since my in-laws and family were out of town and theirs were sick! We had a lot of laughs and the kids love spending time together. Saturday I jumped on the elliptical for 50mn and Sunday I just took Ruby for her 35mn walk.

Today I am mixing it up a little bit. I took a 30mn walk, then MIC Hi/Lo followed by the elliptical for 30mn and then chest/back/ab work.

Enjoy your day! Susan

Morning BB's,

Workout is GS Legs / 2m Run (done) / CoreMax Seg #2 (done)

We made it to my parents house and back ok. Only one time during the drive up on Friday did I think we where headed for the ditch. :D But my Dad was sitting on my shoulder telling me what to do. :D I told him about it where we got to there house, and the first thing he said was "did you step on the breaks". :D Of course not Dad! I told him he was sitting on my shoulder, and he smiled at me. :D When we got home we couldn't get the van up the driveway, so instead of r&r in the house. We where shoveling, because the snowblower could not handle the wet snow.

Susan, Your weekend sounds like a good one, except for the MIC Hi/Lo. :D Oh that one is just evil. :D

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Laurie

Hi BB's,

My workout today was CC#6 (Sean) on the spin bike, and stretchmax.

Susan, glad you enjoyed your Easter and spent some time relaxing. You also got your workouts in. Did you have to walk the dog in the snow or was it pretty clear by the time you went out?

Laurie, glad you made it to you parent's safetly. We also drove in that storm Fri night. My DH got caught in a rut and thought we might end up in a ditch also. I guess you got a good shoveling workout in this past weekend. Nice workout today.

Hi to Sue, hope you had a great Easter weekend.

We celebrated DD17 and DS14 birthday at my mom and dads. Had a nice relaxing Easter with my family and DH even got a bike ride in on Sat when the rodes cleared up.

Have a great day all.

Susan - Wish Ruby a Belated Happy Birthday for me! Speaking of dogs, I watched "8 Below" on tv last night and cried like a baby. Great movie if you've never seen it. Glad you had a nice get-together for Easter. Laurie's right - MIC is evil! Kudos to you for doing it.

Laurie - Glad you made it safely to your parents' house and back. Too bad the snow didn't all melt in your driveway while you were away.;-) Maybe this week it'll all melt (wishful thinking). They told us at work we could leave at 3 and I did okay until I was about 2 blocks from my house. A little over-confident I think and started sliding on a curve and hit the curb with the sides of my tires. No apparent damage but kicking myself for not being more careful.

Karen - Happy Birthdays to DD17 and DS14! Sounds like you had a nice weekend.

Lazy on Saturday so no workout. Don't know what's up with me but that's the 2nd Saturday in a row I took an unplanned rest day. I'm not tired - just lazy. And then on top of it, I eat nothing but junk all day. Ugh! I think I need to go on Celebrity Fit Club (if they accepted non-celebrities that is!). The idea of facing that mean Drill Sargent guy (don't know his name) would keep me in line!

Did HSTA yesterday. This morning was Kickmax Low Impact Timesaver premix 48 min. Added on some crunches and jumping jacks. Starting over with the diet again today.

Sue

Sue, I have been going through days like that as well. I think it's the fact that winter has decided to hang on for so long. I think once Spring finally gets here our moods will lift a bit.

We watched "8 Below" too and, like you, I cried as well. I have seen it about 3 times. I love that movie!

Lucky for us we had no snow acculmulation this weekend! It snowed on Friday but melted as soon as it hit the ground! It's supposed to snow again tonight up here but once again our area is not to get any accumulation. Thank goodness!

Susan - I think you nailed it on the head! :) Like everyone else, I want spring to come in the worst way and this never-ending winter has been depressing.

Sue

Morning BB's,

My workout today is 3m Run and GS back, shoulders, biceps.

Karen, Glad you had a relaxing weekend. You guys where driving into the white stuff vs. us driving out of it. :D I couldn't believe how I was driving by Madison, and the lane I was in changed from clear to slush. It was like the snowplows didn't quite no where the lanes where. x(

Sue, I watched "8 Below" on Sunday too. Dang if I didn't cry too. ;( When my dog came walking by, I just couldn't help but give her a hug. :D Had to LOL at your Celebrity Fit Club, yep that guy would scare me into making improvements too. :7

Susan, Everytime the sun comes out I have to smile just a bit. My SIL told me this weekend, that this winter is one where we should be getting ourselves extra vitamin D. Not seeing the sun as much, and being all bundled up.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi Buff girls,

Today I did Itread 13 30 min sprints. Covered 4 miles. Also did 4DS chest and back and stretchmax.

Laurie, how many miles are you getting in per week now. Are you DD track meets outside or inside still? You are getting some nice workouts in.

Susan, there is hope of spring here, the river has opened in front of our house. Yea. not much sun but at least it's above freezing.

Sue, no big deal on not getting a workout in on Sat. You are making up for it all week long. As for not eating great and not exercising on the weekends, I'm with you there. Have to get my eating in order.

Have a wonderful day.

Laurie - Great workout as usual. Are your DDs enjoying their spring break?

Karen - Are you and DH getting ready to hit the biking trails soon?

Susan - I hear birds in the morning now so that must mean we're getting closer to spring, right?

Did PUB Up Only premix (including abs) 40 min. this morning. Dojo tonight. Hope it's as good as last Tuesday. The whole family was sore from that session!

Sue

Hi there!

Today is CTX Power Circuit(cardio) followed by shoulders & legs.

Sounds like you all have great workouts today! Sue, have fun at Dojo!

Kids are callin'! Catch ya later! ;-)

Susan

Morning BB's,

Todays workout was Imax 2 (blast only) / Ab Hits #2 / 3m Run.

We had a sleepover last night, and the young girl has asthma. I was sleeping light, because I heard every time she coughed. :D

Karen, This week I am up to 12 miles, and each week will be trying to increase. I'm looking at getting up to 15-20 miles per week. Start looking if I want to increase when I get to that point. All DD's track meets have been indoors. They where just starting to see the outdoor track, and then we got dumped on. It should be drying out this week though. Has your DD had a meet yet? I think I remember you saying that she would have one this week? Are hers indoors too?

Sue, Oh I think the DD's are enjoying their break. Oldest has practice, and she is sitting for the young girl that stayed over last night. Oldest DD is like her big sister, and just like a sister can get on DD's nerves at times. :D But she really loves Brenda. How did the Dojo go last night, did they give you a good workout?

Susan, Sounds like you are having fun with the kids. :D And your workout was a goodie! It is amazing how Power Circuits is so tough.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi BB's,

My workout today was KPC, stretchmax and 4DS shoulders.

Laurie, DD track meet is Fri. Indoors for now since there is still snowe covering everything else. Is running you favorite exercise? Great mileage.

Sue, hope Dojo was all you wanted it to be last night. I will not be racing with DH this year as far as I know. The boys can't race due to finances so it should be a quiet summer.

Susan, Those CTX workouts really pack a lot of punch. I really have so many dvds that I don't use often. Great workout. Have fun with the kids.

Enjoy your day.

Laurie - I think 12 miles a week is great mileage, too but I can understand why you want to increase it. It becomes addictive, doesn't it? Plus there's always the challenge of how far you can go. Glad the girls are enjoying themselves. Sorry you didn't get a lot of sleep last night. Usually it's from giggling not coughing that keeps parents up during a sleepover. ;-)

Karen - I have a lot of dvds I don't use very often, too. Mostly it's the hard ones like Hardcore Max. :+ So do you and DH ever go out biking when you're not training for a race? For fun, I mean.

Susan - Hope you're having a great day with the kids.

Good workout at Dojo last night. We worked with the bags on punches and kicks (tiring), Tae Gu Chil Jon - spelling? (our new form we have to learn for Graduation), how to defend yourself against a person attaching you with a knife from behind (using fake knives of course :) ). We also worked on other Hapkido which involves flipping your partner. We don't actually flip each other but we do lift each other off the ground. Master K. was impressed that I was able to lift one of the instructors. He said "If you can lift ________, you can lift anybody!" LOL

Slept in this morning since I'm planning on working out tonight. No homework to check or other places to run to so I'll have time. CTX 10-10-10 + abs from Cardio & Weights.

Have a good day!

Sue

Hi ladies!

Well, today is a little crazy here. My friend called late last night and asked if I'd take her kids for a few hours. She has gone back to school and has a speech class running late today. May have to make this my "off" day this week.

Laurie, I am jealous of all your running! My goal is to still start up again April 1st but may do it over the weekend.

Sue, I am impressed with your Dojo abilities! You are strong! I don't know if I could lift another adult off the ground!

Stay strong- Susan

>Sue, I am impressed with your Dojo abilities! You are strong!
>I don't know if I could lift another adult off the ground!
>

Susan - You're stronger than you think. It's all lifting with the legs and I'm sure your legs are strong! ;-) Also, it's not like you're lifting them over your head. Mainly, you're throwing them off-balance and rolling them over your shoulder so it's not like you carry the full burden of their weight. Still fun to do!

Sue

Morning BB's,

Todays workout was 2m Run / 4DS Kickbox.

Have to get a cake for oldest DD, since she will not be around tomorrow night for her b'day. Might take the DD's out to Texas Roadhouse tonight for dinner. That is DD14's favorite place to eat. :9

Karen, I have to say that running it my second favorite thing. My fav exercise would have to be kickboxing. :D Today I satisfied both of my favs together. :D So sorry that the boys are not able to race this year. Do you have tracks around your area that they can practice on, or do they just use trails?

Sue, Oh yes the running has become addictive. I just love being able to increase my pace. Maybe one day I can keep up with my DD. :7 WTG on lifting that instructor, and impressing Master K. ;-)

Susan, Looks like the weekend would probably be a good time to start that running. The weather should start getting better and better. Knock on Wood!!! :D

Have a great day!

Laurie

Good morning BBs!

Laurie - I LOVE Texas Roadhouse! Remember the BB get-together we had there? Ought to do that again sometime and see if Jill and Marie can make it. Have fun tonight. Eat some cake for me!:9 Glad you got to do your 2 favorite things this morning. :)

Hi, Karen & Susan! Hope you are getting good workouts in today (or rest if that's on the agenda).

Instead of doing 10-10-10 cardio last night, I was inspired by the sun shining and warmer temps so did 2 miles outside! Walked more the first mile, jogged more the 2nd. Felt great! Then I did the step portion of 10-10-10 and C&W abs.

I'll do my workout tonight again - PLB Up only premix. Getting spoiled this week with the kids off and being able to sleep in. :) Off tomorrow with the kids - yippee! Planning to see "Horton Hears a Who".

Have a good day!

Sue

Hi BB's,

Today I did GS Legs,4DS bi & tri, 4DSkickbox abs and a 1 mile run. Trying to get 12 miles in each week. Have to try to keep up with Laurie.

Laurie, the boys just ride around the roads here. The only time they really rode on trails was for races. How far do you run on the weekends. Do you do longer runs? What is your fav kickbox workout.

Sue, have fun seeing Horton Hears a Who. I have heard it is a good movie. Let me know how you liked it. It's got to make you feel good to impress Master K. Way to go. What was the temp that made you want to run last night? It couldn't have been more than 35 here yesterday. Still to cold for me.

Susan, hope you are enjoying the nice weather. Now you can get even longer walks in with your pup. Nice of you to watch your friends kids. It's nice to have someone to count on in a bind.

Tonight we are going out for DS/DD birthday. We have gift certificates to Applebees.

Oh, Happy Birthday to you DD, Laurie.

Have a great day.

Karen - It was 51 driving home last night. By the time I got out the temp had dropped to about 48. I was a little chilly at first but fine once I got going. So with my 2 miles last night, that means only 10 more to go and I get to join the 12 mile per week club, too! ;-) :+

Sue

Sue, please join the 12 mile club at least until Laurie ups the miles on us. Just go do 10 miles on Sat. Enjoy the rest of your day. Spring is here.
