BUFF BADGERS 3/2

I figured I'd start with that so we don't post at the same time again Laurie!

Well what a day yesterday. I was at the office, and the minute I got home I changed my clothes and took Mace for a walk. Then as soon as Travis got home I did TLT's Strength in Movement (my current fave workout). Then I had to get ready right away to leave for a concert in Whitewater. My mom and I saw Cherish the Ladies. We saw them last time they were there and I have to say what a great group! It's a group of 6 females that play and sing Celtic music. There are also 2 Irish dancers. What a great show! I highly recommend it.

Today will be cardio----I plan to alternate tm and elliptical while watching Lost. I had to tape it last night. Figures it was a new episode the one week I was gone!

What's everyone else doing to stay fit today?
Jill

Morning BB's,

Cardio for me today also, it will be a 5 mile run.

Jill, way to funny that we where typing at the same time. Sounds like a good show. Love Celtic music!!!

Sarah, don't feel bad about the Doritos, I think all of us can relate. My downfall is Cheetoes!!!! :9 I don't even like to look at the package in the store. It actually talks to me! :)

I am happy to report that I'm another pound down! Started zig-zagging on the diet and this seems to be working. I think I was in a rutt and needed to change things up.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi BBs,
I am happy to report that I did a little bit of kickboxing last night. I know it isn't much but a start. Still not sleeping too well at night so I didn't get up this morning but hope to try to get in something tonight. At least I am on my way to getting rid of this cold and back into an exercise routine. To celebrate, I ordered the new Tae Bo workouts. Yes I do like kickboxing and the infomercial on these looked good - although I ordered from Collage. I also ordered the Firm 3-in-1 Bootcamp which is an older Firm but just out on DVD.

Laurie - congratulations on losing another pound. Glad you are finding something to shake things up.

Jill - Great workouts! Can't wait to hear where you decide to go on your vacation.

Good morning,

Jill, I did absolutely nothing to stay fit today :) Most of the time I don't have much trouble getting up really early in the morning, but this week has been a drag. I couldn't get up today. I'm going to try to do a double workout tomorrow (run in the morning, weights at night). I have a trig test tonight, so that's kind of mental aerobics. Am I reaching? You had quite a day yesterday!

Laurie, way go to on the weight loss! How much of a zigzag do you do on your calories?

Marie, glad to hear you're feeling better.

One of my coworkers just came in to meet with me, and I found out that one of her dogs just died unexpectedly. She was trying to hold herself together, but it wasn't easy for her. Gosh, it just broke my heart. I'm going to give my dogs extra hugs tonight :(

Take care,

Ellen

Jill - Congrats on getting your workout in despite your hectic day!

Marie - Glad to hear you felt well enough to kickbox last night. I love kickbox, too, and would like to get more workouts but I have so many new dvds I haven't even tried yet.

Ellen - Good luck on your trig test. There's terrible news about your co-workers dog. Losing a pet is like losing a member of your family IMHO.

Laurie - Congrats on the weight loss! I may have to give zig-zagging a try.

Did a really tough workout this morning designed by FiddleFit: HSTA w/u + HSTA cardio only premix + HSTA cardio/lower premix + HSTA cardio/upper premix. Yep, you read right - the cardio sections are done 3 times! My legs were so shaky the last 2 of the 15 total (yikes!) cardio cycles, I was worried about tripping over my high step. Was planning on Imax3 tomorrow but I'll have to re-think that one! ;-)

Have a great day everyone!

Sue

Wow Sue! I can see why your legs where shaking. How long was this w/o total? And I can see why you wouldn't want to do Imax3 tomorrow. Yikes is right.

Ellen I have been using the web site http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm and using the zig-zag option. I am using the Fat Loss section. It takes a little extra work on my part to track what I will eat during the day. But I figure that as long as it is working I'm going to continue.

Laurie

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your support regarding my Doritos debacle yesterday! With Lent officially in full swing, I am going to try to avoid my salty delicious downfall for the next 6 weeks.

Laurie - I hear you about avoiding the Cheetos packages in the store. I think I will need to skip the chip aisle altogether. Good job on your zig-zag dieting, though! I think I'm zigging where I should have zagged myself. :-(

I did PowerMax last night, but ran out of time for anything more. I hope to do my walking lunges tonight.

Jill - Sounds like that concert was great! Hope you didn't run into any bad weather on your trip. It was ICY last night when I walked the dog.

Marie - glad you're feeling up to easing into some workouts again. So many people are sick right now around me! Hope the new Tae Bo workouts are fun, you'll have to give us the report.

Sue - that was a hella workout!! Holy cow! My legs would be noodles!

Have a good rest of the day, everyone. - Sarah

Hi girls. Just finished my workout. Yay! I did 30 minutes each of treadmill and elliptical while watching last night's Lost episode. What a good episode! Of course still no real answers, but it was nice to have a new show again and not another rerun!

Sue, holy mackeral. That's all I can say about your workout yesterday. LOL

Ellen, good luck with your test tonight. How sad about your friend's dog. :(

Marie, it's probably a good idea to ease back into your workouts a little. That's how I did it, too. I started again last Friday after three weeks off (yikes!) and yesterday was the first day I really hit it hard. So far so good---no bad doms. :)

Laurie, cycling works for me, too. I think it just works keeping your metabolism guessing how many calories the body needs to burn.

Sarah-PowerMax wasn't enough on it's own?? LOL. No bad weather at all here last night. We did get an inch or two of snow this morning, but nothing bad.

Okay, back to work. Just happy to have gotten my exercise in today!
