BUFF BADGERS 2/6

Hi girls. Thought I'd give you a quick update!

No offer on my house yet, but I did put an offer in on a condo. It's in Elkhorn, which I'm not thrilled about, but there's nothing here in East Troy that I want. When I saw the Elkhorn ones I knew I'd never be happy in the East Troy ones. They have some yard with them, and are less money and lots more room. The one I want is 1,666 with a bedroom, full bath, and loft on the upper level. It feels much more like a house. I need to have another room built in the basement, and possibly a bathroom. Buy my "construction guy" that did the fixups around here said it would only be about $2,000 to build the room (bathroom will come later if at all).

So wish me luck!!!!!! I need to sell my house now!
Jill

Morning BB's,

Today will be CTX Upper Body, 30 min. Run, and preview the Project You Lower Body Abs DVD that I received in my chicken.

Jill, hope your house sells quickly. The condo in Elkhorn sounds like it is very nice. Would you have to do the lawn mowing, or would this be something that is done by the condo association? My in-laws live in a condo and that is all taken care of for them. Got to love that!

Super Bowl commercials where pretty lame. The only one I remember was the Burger King commercial. I laughed, but it sure was stupid. :)

Have a great day!

Laurie

Laurie, they do all the outside work. I am "allowed" to plant flowers I think lol. I didn't see a minute of the game. I was working until 9pm last night since I spent so much time on the condo stuff Sat/Sun. :) I'll post a couple of pictures. The best thing is I get to pick out all the paint colors (it's new). And all appliances are included, even a water softener, as well as blinds that I get to choose!

This is my favorite part. The loft will be my office area.

Happy Monday BBs!
Jill - the new condo sounds great! I hope you sell your house now so everything falls in place. Do you have a deadline on the condo deal? Are you listing your house in the paper too? What about listing it with Homeowner's Concept (name???) where you show it but they help with the paperwork and list it in their mag and web site? Your construction guy sounds reasonable. What kinds of things does he do? ETA - the pics look really nice. If you can't plant, you could always grow some things in pots.

Laurie - I thought Budweiser had clever commercials. Hope you like your chicken workout! I got those too but since I have the whole set already I passed these out to some interested friends.

This weekend was spinning on Saturday and a Body Pump workout on Sunday. This morning was just a walking workout and hope to do some kickboxing tonight.

Okay now that I figured out how to make them not so huge, here are some more.

This is looking from my bedroom into the master bath. There is a HUGE closet on the right, AND another on the left with mirrored doors.

Hi Marie. :) Typically they give you 45 days to accept an offer on your house, but the lady there said they are VERY much wanting to work with buyers because they are wrapping up the subdivision and want the last of these sold asap. I have it for sale by owner now, but they may also require me to list with a realtor. If that happens, the price will go up about $10,000 and it will list with Shorewest since my best friend is a realtor. I listed it on my own hoping to get a quick offer on a lower price.

The construction guy is GREAT!! He is wonderful and went around my whole house and fixed every little thing. Like little cracks in the ceilings and stuff--normal stuff that happens to a ten year old house. He also fixed a screen door that wouldn't close properly, a drawer that wouldn't close right, put new flashing on my deck, and replaced my son's bedroom door. I had a pretty long list of things to do. He was here for 3 days and charged me $300 for everything, including materials. I thought that was very reasonable.

Jill, great pics. Looks like a great place. Your construction guy gave you a great price also. Looks like this is something that should happen. I'm sending you good vibes for selling your house.

Good morning,

I haven't worked out yet but am planning a run after work.

Jill, the condo looks fantastic! With a fireplace too... very nice. I hope you sell your house quickly. Good luck :)

Have a great day,

Ellen

Hi Ladies, Hope you enjoyed your weekend! I had to deal with sick childrena and a sick self so it was a rough one!

I did watch the game yestyerday and I agree that I liked the Budweiser commercials the best, especially the one where the young clydesdale was "pulling" the cart...

Today is Strong legs and Abs and then MIC Hi/Lo.

Jill, I like the looks of that condo! I send you best wishes and hopes that your home sells quickly!!

Stay strong and healthy ladies -Susan

Jill - would you have a workout area? How far is the condo from where you are now? Does you construction guy travel? If so, could you send me his name and what he does since I am sure we will have future needs?

Susan - hope you and your childredn are feeling better. The young clydesdale was a cute one.

I would be happy to email his info to you Marie. I'm sure he'd appreciate it. He lives in Mukwonago but goes all over.

I had some big criteria for a new home. Has to have 3 bedrooms, a fireplace, and room for my office AND workout area. This has it all. I do have to have a room built in the basement (can't legally call it a bedroom lol), but other than that it's perfect. The basement is huge and has plenty of room for all my exercise stuff.

Jill - Wow! Exciting news about the condo. Your handyman sounds very reasonably priced. We took quotes to see how much it would cost to have doors hung and having just 1 door hung would have been the entire $300! Outrageous. . . so we did it ourselves.

Laurie/Marie - A workout you received in your chicken? Did I miss something (as usual ;-)).

Okay, maybe I was just in a silly mood yesterday but several of those Superbowl commercials tickled my funny bone. I like the monkeys in the office, "magic fridge" and the Budweiser ones.

Today I did Imax3. I got about halfway thru and realized I hadn't paused the DVD after any intervals yet to catch my breath. Hmmm. . . what's going on here? Then it became a challenge to see how far I could go and believe it or not - I finished ALL 10 INTERVALS without pausing! :p I'm still in a state of shock. It must have been all those extra Superbowl calories that gave me extra energy. ;-)

Have a great day.

Sue

Sue - Perdue Short Cuts chicken (cooked chicken strips) had 3 different Project You workouts in them. There was one cardio (first one), lower body, and pilates. SOme pkgs were marked but many had the DVDs that weren't marked. You could move the chicken around to see if the DVD was in the pkg. I use the chicken to put on salads or add to soup. They might still be around if you are interested. I found mine at Jewel. Congratulations on your IMAX3 accomplishment!

Thanks, Marie. We don't shop at Jewel because they're not convenient but I'll look to see if Pick 'n Save or Sentry have Perdue. I love free stuff! (Who doesn't, right;-) ?)

Hi Everyone!

Did Hi/Low Heaven and PLB premix today. I am previewing Kelly's The Shape of Things to Come. Looks like a good and intense, circuit workout. The weight work is a little different from the usual and the cardio looks similar to Cathe.

Jill, nice pics of the house! Jill go with your realtor friend from Shorewest. i don't doubt you can sell it on your own, but are you prepared to have 2 mortgage payments for awhile? I hate to see you end up like a stressed out basket case like I was. Sure you give some for commission, but they take care of all the paperwork stuff.
I'm so relieved ours sold. Commission or not. It cost us everyday we weren't living there.

I also like the Bud commercials yesterday!

Good workouts everyone!

Cynthia
